222 North End Road, West Kensington, West London, England

Having read some of the other reviews I wonder if we just had a bad experience, but having had such a terrible meal there, I am in no rush to go back and find out. We ate off the menu in the evening. The venue was pleasant enough, as were the staff and my starter was okay. The rest of the food was very mundane and not very nice, and my desert was inedible (supposedly a pancake) except for the clearly shop bought vegan ice cream. Plenty of other options in London that are easier to get to, I'm afraid I won't be giving 222 a second chance.

It's all Vegan!

I love it. Being able to just wander round and know you can eat anything is wonderful.
We stayed close to hear and shopped here most days during our stay.

Tip top!

I think if I could only eat in one NY restaurant on my visits, it would probably be Blossom.

The food is truly delicious.

I love both the concept and reality of this place. Good food, friendly people and a charming venue. Looking forward to future visits.

Shared the feast for 3 with gluten free injera (Ethiopian flatbread) and loved it. This comes with a small amount of every entrée on the menu and all of them were excellent with good portion sizes. (You need to give 24 hours notice for the gluten free injera).

There was only one desert choice, baklava, but I was too full to even consider it!

The staff were friendly and helpful, and while the restaurant was very busy, it did not feel overcrowded.

Certainly a place to return to.

I would certainly recommend trying to eat here. The menu is varied and interesting and the quality of the food is second to none.

It's not cheap, but considering the location, the quality of service I've encountered and the overall experience, it's well worth a try.

Don't miss out!

There are so many great vegan choices in NYC, but you really should try to get to Caravan.

Cosy, friendly atmosphere with an interesting and varied menu. The non-raw ravioli is amazing (I've not tried the raw version), but isn't always available.

The deserts on my last visit were a bit lack lustre, but still nice.

Quintessential Vegan Diner!

24 Jan 2015

Extensive vegan menu, with a fabulous brunch selection in a shiny American dineresque venue. There were enough gluten free options to keep my coeliac partner happy.

The breakfast burrito was amazing and the cinnamon bun was so good I had another...

Looking forward to coming back again and again.

I can't claim to have tried a huge amount here, but the strudel and the cinnamon roll I had were both excellent.

I would certainly go out of my way to come back here.

Wouldn't Bother

Varied menu with lots of vegan options and good choice for coeliacs too. However the meagre portion sizes and average quality are not reflected in the quite expensive prices. The salad I had sounded amazing on the menu but turned out to be mostly lettuce with some tiny quantities of garnish. My pasta arrived lukewarm to cold. There are many other places I would rather eat in London.

The Last Thing I Need

Picked up a 'snickers' cake in passing and it was fantastic. All the other cakes and treats looked amazing too. I am so glad I don't live in Camden anymore so that I don't have the temptation to eat my own weight in cake every day. Will certainly return and hope to try some of the savoury offerings as well.

Great stuff.

The tofu pakora, wraps and dosas were excellent. Large portions and great value, with friendly English speaking staff.
Good for coeliacs.

Hits the spot...

After Red Veg closed in central London, I was missing my cheap Vegan burger and fries hit. Now I'm happily hooked on the ocean burger here. They also have a menu for Coeliacs if you ask.

I wish I lived in Vancouver...

06 Jul 2012

On a recent trip to Vancouver we ate here twice, and both times we were amazed.

Excellent service, wonderful food, huge portions, good prices. You really can't go wrong. This is easily the best Chinese restaurant I have ever eaten in, vegan or not, and is now one of my favourite vegan restaurants full stop.

Looking forward to coming back one day.

Worth a visit, mixed feelings.

I have eaten here a few times. The food is excellent, but not especially exciting and not cheap, and I think it is telling that I have more often chosen to eat stuff from Wholefoods which I visit quite a lot than eat here.

The service has always been good, and the venue is cool, but you can kind of feel like you are eating in a food court (which you kind of are).

Certianly worth visiting though, and I know I'll happily eat there again. Good for gluten free options.

Great little cafe with an extensive menu and daily specials, with good choice for vegans and coeliacs. Everything we had was lovely and and I look forward to returning soon.

There is a separate veggie/vegan menu which you need to ask for. Had some very fresh and tasty tempura to start, followed by the vegan vegetable suet pudding which was excellent and reminiscent of old fashioned English pub food. There were several pasta dishes and salads I could have had too, all of which were tempting. There was an even better selection for veggies. Well worth the trip up from our shopping visit to Reading.
