Nice restaurant BUT - Edit

My friends and me had a very nice time at this restaurant. For Berlin it is very expensive. The food tastes quite good, but is not really worth the price in my opinion. The atmosphere is very cozy and nice, we enjoyed our stay, nevertheless. It is great that you get a 7% discount if you are a member of the VeBu.

Pros: cozy atmosphere , good food , discount of 7% if member of VeBu

Cons: very expensive

Super lecker! - Edit

loved this place! - Edit

We managed to eat here twice in 3 days as it was so good! Huge burgers, so delicious and fresh... The beer was really good too! Staff friendly and attentive - great relaxed vibe to it, will definitely be back!

So so good! - Edit

Loved it! My boyfriend and I shared a burger with extra cheese and fries, and then ordered a sweet crêpe with whipped cream. The food was great, and arrived rather quickly even though the restaurant was full. The place is really cozy, and there's even a shelf with cook books and magazines to keep you busy while waiting. There are also some toys for children, and we saw a couple of families with small kids eating there. The staff is friendly and helpful. Def will go there again.

Pros: Great food, Friendly staff , Cozy

Amazing! - Edit

Cute, little restaurant. Very nicely decorated. Nice choice of sweet and savoury crêpes and burgers. I tried a savoury crepe and it was very big, tasty and filling. The best part of the meal however was a bowl of mac and cheese, DELICIOUS.

Delicious crepes - Edit

Well, visiting Berlin that has so many Vegan options, picking places to visit on my trip was always going to be difficult! I'm so glad I chose Let It Be. I think it was actually my favourite place in Berlin.

I really liked the menu and thought the prices were very reasonable. I had difficulty choosing and the staff were happy to go through things with me and recommend dishes according to what I like. I opted for a mac n cheeze and a cheeze crepe. I could not finish them the portions, especially the crepe, were huge.

I was only in Berlin a few days but would've loved to have made a return journey for dessert which looked really delicious too.

Pros: All Vegan, Delicious food at good value prices, Friendly staff

Really Good Food, Really Great Atmosphere - Edit

I went here twice.
The first time, it was for dessert - a Ian Mackaye crepe and a glass of white wine. It was delicious, sweet-but-not-too-sweet (the crepe) and still warm and there was good music inside and great lighting outside and a warm and inviting atmosphere with friendly staff and great art and all the good stuff.
The second time I visited I came back for dinner because on my dessert trip other people's plates looked really good. I tried the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez burger. The good: the flavor(s). It tasted great - it was a little spicy a little creamy, there were jalapeños and some spicy sour cream and a spicy aioli/mayo - all really good. The flavor of the black bean patty was also really good. The not-so-good: the texture of the patty and the density of the bun. Overall it was good and the burger got an A+ for flavor but the texture of both the patty and the bun left me a bit disappointed :(

Pros: great crepes, nice vibe, friendly staff

Go there, support them - Edit

Such a friendly place, really! And how inviting!
They mainly do crepes and burgers, but there are sandwiches, salads, fries, cakes and whatnot as well.
I have been there twice so far - the burgers are very good, but the sandwich (Joan Jett) is absolutely amazing! Probably not the best one I have ever eaten, but surely the best one this year.
The staff make a great effort to run Let It Be as well as possible. The charming and tasteful interior and the good service are Let It Be's trademark. It's a joy to be there to put it simple.
Due to something that appears to be a space for small children, it's probably safe to say they are children-friendly.
Go there, bring your money, you'll get awesome food in return. If Let It Be is not worthy of support, no one is.
Coffee and WiFi speed stand the test as well.

Pros: awesome food, dedicated staff, best mock meat and vegan cheese ever!

Cons: burgers could be (a wee bit) better

Great burgers! - Edit

My girlfriend and I each had an "Omar Rodríguez-López" burger. It was really good! Great mayo/dressing and an amazingly firm patty!

Cons: Service could be better

Sadly Disappointing - Edit

I have been looking forward to visiting Let it Be and trying their vegan crepes and pancakes for ages. Sadly my first experience there was underwhelming to say the least. Firstly the guy on duty seemed quite anxious and stressed and yelled at us for trying to move two tables together so we could fit. A simple, calm explanation of why it wasn't possible would have sufficed. Secondly, the pancakes were undercooked and doughy to the point I had to leave them and let my boyfriend (who eats anything) finish them off. We also had some crepes with vegan chocolate spread which were ok, a little dry but a huge portion. For the price the size of the portions are great but as someone who lived in North America for a long time, eating pancakes became a ritual there and these were just not up to scratch and not even as good as what my boyfriend cooks for me at home. Sadly, very disappointed after all the other good reviews. I might give it a second go in case it was just a bad day or a different chef but won't be running back there in a hurry.

Pros: Huge Portions for the price, Cute atmosphere, In a quiet, relaxing area

Cons: Undercooked pancakes, crepes slightly dry, Anxious staff, Generic crepes toppings, needs something different

vegan crepes!!!! - Edit

Ah, let it be... I lived in this part of Berlin last summer and came here for brunch nearly every weekend. The Daryl Hannah is unreal (with the Erykah Badu as a close second). The Ayinger beer is fantastic-- especially the weißbier. The decor is very cute and it's a really pleasant place to hang out. This is the restaurant I miss the most from Berlin!

Pros: Delicious food, Great beer, Huge portions

Cons: Can get crowded

Wow Mac and cheese! - Edit

I went there a few months ago and had my first vegan mac and cheese. It was really high on the junk food level (positively meant). Super creamy and decadent, and the crepes were not bad either. I would definitely come back here!

Pros: nice choices of food, great mac and cheese, nice staff

Cons: a bit pricey for the food

Good food and atmosphere, service could be better - Edit

The cafe has a really good atmosphere, is dog friendly, has gluten free options, and the food is quite delicious. I had a Woody Harrelson and my boyfriend had a burger with gluten free bread, both were very good and the portions were quite big. However, we waited an hour to be served, and I'm pretty sure it's because the person who took our order at the counter forgot about it. He just remembered because he walked past us and saw us without any food, looking desperately hungry. After waiting an unreasonably long time for a rather simple, but tasty meal, I think the place has some room for improvements.

Best Mac & Cheese - Edit

Very good and unique burgers. My boyfriend and I got the Wendy O. Williams and the Omar Rodríguez-López burgers and both were really good and very filling. We also ordered the mac and cheese and it was one of the best mac and cheeses I have ever had. This place is a must-go if you are a vegan in Berlin.

Pros: Delicious food

Best burgers in Berlin - Edit

I have been meaning to make my way down to Neukölln to visit 'Let It Be' for a while now, and today I finally acted on this urge. My husband had the Chrissie Hynde burger, which he really enjoyed. I had the Thom Yorke. This was probably the best burger that I have had for a while and I was definitely full by the end. In Berlin, burger joints have struggled to recognise the importance of the bun. BUT I am happy that 'Let it Be' seems to have taken this on board and the bun was actually good quality. AMAZING! I am looking forward to our next visit where I will try the Omar Rodriguez-Lopez!

Pros: Taste & friendly staff , Quality of produce & locally sourced & , The bun!

Cons: Expect slow service... but this is because everyth

Perfection - Edit

Let It Be is somewhere we return to time after time, even though it's not that easy for us to get to, it's well worth the trip. It's pretty much perfection every time. Huge portions, great atmosphere, and a soundtrack that's never once played a duff tune. Put it high on your list if you're visiting Berlin, or even if you live here!

Pros: Great food, Big portions, Top tunes

Crepes are huge! - Edit

I got the woody harrelson crepe with chz and hamm in it. It came with a side salad with tasty dressing. I think it cost me 7,50 euro which I feel was worth it since a. it was huge and b. where the heck am I going to find a vegan crepe.

The place was adorable! The bathroom was tiny and cute too.

I got chocolate orange cake for dessert. Yummy. Though I am still on the look out for a decadent vegan chocolate cake that is moist. It prob didn't help that I left it in the fridge for a day...

Pros: big portion, dishes named after cool vegan celebritie, cake

fantastic crepes - Edit

As always a review is a snapshot of a moment, and I had a great time at Let It Be.

I've never had makee arepe before even in the years before being veggie, I don't think there was much French influence in the UK restaurant trade in the 80's. I had a garlic mushroom crepe and my better half had the mock meat in red wine sauce. Both were light but filling, They also seemed to be healthy tasting, and we had a side salad of red lentil and beetroot just to make sure we had plenty veg, it was also great.

Even though we were pretty full we shared a banana and chocolate crepe, it was really rich and left me feeling like I wouldn't need rlto eat for the next week.

Its been about seven years since I've been to Berlin, and place such as let it be have made Berlin a fantastic vegan city. New and enthusiastic the staff and management were delighted to meet us, and that alone wants me to recommend Let It Be.

I think the restaurant had been asking Eric for a visit, and my visit coincided with that of J Veg the ambassador of Berlin. Once the staff new this they were beside tgemselves, I only wish I got the same response in the UK toward Happy Cow. Had a good chance go chat to J veg and his good lady and we nearly solved world hunger.

Great night.

Was back again for my last meal on a berlin trip sonhappy to see it so busy. Awesome food and fantastic staff, the only place I revisited from my last trip to Berlin.

food is amazing - Edit

I loved this place - friendly staff (especially Andy), LOADS of selection in terms of crepes and burgers and cake, with many drink options too. Wifi is strong and reliable and the vibe is very chilled.

This place is a gem. The music is cool and each burger is named after a famous vegan. They had me at Omar Rodriguez Lopez.

I had a crepe with applesauce. It was heavenly.

Highly recommended

Pros: delicious food, good taste, nice staff

Cons: not expensive but not cheap either, out of the way if you do t live in neukölln but su

At Pamela anderson pancakes and Daryl hannah salty crepe. Couldn't be more happy with the tasty vegan dishes. The staff was very warm and kind. Do not miss out on visiting this place when in Berlin !!! ❤️

ok - Edit

Our kid had an enormous crepe with apple sauce (too much apple sauce for his taste, we remove half of it), he love the crepe. We had each of us a different burger, I don't remember which one I had but my one was really good (seems self made), where my partner one was not really tasty. The sides where good so the sauces. We eat outside, the place seems ok but not specifically nice, the staff was not unfriendly they seem to don't really bother for our presence.

Pros: BIG crepe

Simple and Satisfying - Edit

Let It Be was a cosy restaurant/cafe with friendly staff and nice decor. I loved the menu options named after vegan famous people! I really enjoyed my Johnny Matt toasted sandwich, filling and affordable.
Nothing remarkable and they had different opening times to those listed here, only real flaw.

Pros: Interesting menu, Friendly staff

Cons: Opening times listed incorrectly

huge serving - Edit

We came here specifically for the vegan crepes. I had the Darryl Hannah whilst my partner had the Erykah Badu. The crepes were huge! Both very tasty too. The person was so lovely. Wish we had eaten here more often as it is closed on our last day in Berlin.

service - Edit

Normally one of our favourite places in Berlin however we tried to get a table but unfortunately it was full. This is fine and of course outside of their control however the man behind the counter was so incredibly rude to us I couldn't actually believe it. Ignoring our question, sneering at us and not speaking in full sentences. We had travelled a long way and would have been more than happy to wait or return later when it was less busy. Unfortunately the staff members were so rude to us that this was not possible to even discuss and were were left feeling very angry and upset with the horrible attitude of the staff. It costs nothing to be polite and treat people with basic manners and decency. I was shocked that someone could be so rude when a short simple explanation would have done.

Very nice Peter Dinklage - Edit

Nice little place on the way of the 171 bus (stop Hertzbergplatz)

Simple small rustic wooden tables and interesting decorations. You order your food and drinks at the counter and get it served quickly.

I had the Burger "Peter Dinklage" Should have asked why they named the burger after the actor. ;-) A Falafel Patty with hummus, dried tomatoes and curcuma sauce, small side salad on the same plate.

I usually don't order burgers because of the messy eating and I was proofed right. I decided to eat "Peter" with fork and knife. Very nice and interesting combination of spices. Although a little too much curcuma for my taste. The patty was a little too dry. It's a big portion and for 7.90 EUR you can't complain.

And the Altbaierische Dunkel I had with the burger was phantastic. I just love dark beer!

Best Burger in the world ! - Edit

I love this restaurant, it's my favorite, because they have the best burger in the world: Blackbean-Patty, homemade Sour Creme, homemade Chipotle-Mayo and Jalapenos !
They have seasonal offers, like the Helloween mashed potatos with 3 sauces (take mayo!).
The stuff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very good. All in all perfect.

Tasty burger in nice atmosphere - Edit

I decided to have a veggie burger with additional potato wedges - the burger (first option on the menue, veggie patty) was delicious, really fine spicing and filling. It came with a bit of fresh salad, which was also nice.
The potato wedges could have been fried a bit longer, but the mayonese was great (I think it had some curry side flavour?)
If I hadn't been super full, I would have loved to try a cake as they looked really tempting...
The stuff was nice and also I didn't have to wait long for the food. I particularly liked the atmosphere there and would recommend going there :)

Pros: Food, Atmosphere

Cons: Potato wedges not really cross

Mmmmmmm... - Edit

Excellent food in a lovely little restaurant. Good for coeliacs.
The staff were all very friendly and spoke excellent English.
It can take a while for the food to come, but it is worth it.

Pros: It's great!

Cons: Be prepared to wait a bit.

Excellent Burgers and Beer :) - Edit

My burger was obviously made with lots of love and mega fresh ingredients. Sat outside on a late Sunday night drinking a very tasty beer as well. I would highly recommend dinner here. Friendly staff and sweet kitchen crew :) Burgers here are named after my favorite Vegans...

Just finished my Chrissie Hynde with potato wedges, and I am stuffed and overly satisfied. Everything is made fresh and still in a relatively timely manner. The portions are large and the price is not bad for a vegan place!

Pros: Awesome food, Large portions, Many options

Cons: The store isn't right next to my hostel

Our favourite meal in Berlin! - Edit

We discovered this place on our first night in Berlin and it was our favourite by far. The burgers are amazing, great fries and the best vegan mac n cheese! We didn't try the crepes but they looked great too. Definitely recommended, really cosy place too with helpful and friendly staff!

Yummy crepes - Edit

I had the Woody Harrelson which is a crepe with ham, cheese, leek and cream. It was so tasty. I also had a side of macaroni cheese which was quite good as well.

My husband had a Mike Tyson which was a soya steak burger with potato wedges which he enjoyed.

I also had a hot chocolate which I wasn't so impressed with. It was luke warm so I asked for another, which was only a bit hotter than the first.

We waited quite a long time (about half an hour), which we were warned about when we ordered.

The toilets were ok.

Staff were quite friendly.

Location wasn't great for us, it was quite difficult to get to from where we were staying.

Pros: Food

Cons: Location, Waiting time

Superb! - Edit

Delicious pancakes, very big and filling, I had the one with vegan cheese and ham. Very fair prices (mine was around 7 euros). Very lovely interior and atmosphere, books about veganism on a shelf, great indie music being played. Service was fine and fast. The owner was delighted when we told him Happycow ranked his place in the top 50 vegan restaurants in the world!

Delicious, fresh and cosy - Edit

Very cosy little place with very friendly staff. The food is named after celebrities, who live vegan, which is a nice touch. I had the Thom Yorke burger and couldn't possibly fit it in my mouth, it was so big and full of fresh salad, vegetables and hummus, not to mention the great veggie patty and the home made sauce. Awesome! My wife's sandwich was also very good and filling. The music was a little odd, but not in a bad way. A little loud maybe, but I guess that's a matter of taste. The salad was a little sandy, that's the only slight little thing I would criticize. Great place, I will gladly return!

Pros: Complete vegan , Very fresh , Great beer and spirits selection

Delicious! - Edit

Delicious food served generously! What more could you want? I had the Moby and it was huge and yummy. Lots of fresh veg so it felt kinda healthy too :-) The next night I tried the Alicia Silverstone crepe (choc cream and banana) and was very impressed. One is enough for two to share. They also take credit card which is rare in Berlin so that's a bonus. It was on the expensive side for Berlin, but in the scheme of things not bad at all.

Pros: Yummy, Big portions, Something different

Cons: On the expensive side

delicious burgers and crepes!! - Edit

We had a great dinner experience here. The restaurant is really cute inside and the service was good. We went around 6 on a Friday and there were plenty of tables open. You order at the bar and they bring the food to your table. The burgers were very good with a large amount of fresh veggies/salad on and around the burger. The burger seemed healthier than other places. The fries appeared to be baked but I'm not sure. Either way they were good and not greasy. The burgers are rather filling but we couldn't pass on trying a crepe so we had one (gigantic by the way) with chocolate and banana. It was all amazing and well worth the 30 min bus ride to get there.

Fantastic Crepes - Edit

This little place has a lot of character. Vegan crepes seem like quite a challenge but they pulled it off perfectly. I had the vegan ham and cheese crepe and it was excellent. This also happens to be one of the few places in berlin where you can get a nice vegan cider. I couldn't really gauge how friendly the staff were; they were just polite and quiet, definitely not rude however. I had a great time here, and I can't wait to return.

Pros: Cosy Atmosphere , Good Drink Options, Vegan Crepes!

Cons: Quiet Staff

By submitting this post you agree to HappyCow Terms

Small but lots of character - Edit

Let It Be is quite small, but well worth a visit. I visited quite late on a Sunday evening and they had run out of burgers and some other ingredients, so our options were restricted a bit. Fortunately we'd been planning on having savoury crepes anyway. I tried the curry crepe (Erykah Badu) and my boyfriend had the Daryl Hannah, which had the Caprese salad ingredients. Both were really good. We had our second choice dessert, the Prince crepe (chocolate and cream) - it was very sweet but really good. One to share was definitely enough!

Delicious burgers, decent crepes - Edit

This is a rather small plac, with a kind a hippie atmosphere that was really nice.
All the dishes have star names, such as Woody Harrelson, Grace Slick, Moby...I thought it was quite funny and had an overall good impression and love how th place "felt".
We both took burgers which were tasty, filling and big. I realy loved ating them. Unfortunately I'm not as thrilled about the desert : crepes were alright but didn't taste like "real" ones : too thick, a bit of a strange flavor. It was a shame become I'm a huge crepes fan and was looking forward to eating a vegan version.
Anyay I'd definitely comme back if I have the opportunity to visit Berlin again, it was a mostly pleasant experience!

Pros: Burgers, Nice staff, Affordable food

Cons: Crepes were disappointing

Delicious Crepe & More - Edit

The place was just opening up when we arrived at 1pm on Saturday. It took kind of forever to get the food ordered and to be served but the outdoor seatings and the weather was lovely so we had nice time with our drinks. We also used our time wisely in spending a lot of time on deciding what to order from the vast menu before the kitchen was open.

Once our crepes, burgers and sandwich arrived, it was totally worth waiting. They were huge and beautifully presented all with nice salads (except sweet crepes). I'd love to try all of the menus!

Try not to go so early on the opening time :)

Pros: Tasty, Nice atmosphere, Friendly staff/owner

Cons: Slow service, Too many options

Great, cosy place with delicious crepes - Edit

We went there on the last day of our recent trip to Berlin and this is surely the first place we would go during the next one! Very cosy, homey place with friendly staff, nice music, moderate prices and great crepes. I really liked how the dishes are named after musicians. Strongly recommended!

Pros: Great food, Good value for money ratio, friendly staff & nice music

Nice place, good food - Edit

Nice little restaurant with good food for a nice prices. We had a burger with wedges and a sandwich - both was very filling and good. I would recommend it to friends. Next time I'll try the crepes.

Pros: Good burgers, Great sandwiches

Great desserts! - Edit

Enjoyed this creperie after dinner and was truly delicious! Had the crepe with chocolate cream and banana, light and fresh! Friendly staff, English speaking and made fresh quickly! Will definitely be making another trip here before we leave Berlin, highly recommend!
Visited this restaurant for a second time before leaving Berlin, had the veggie burger which was fresh and full of marinated beets and great bread, followed by more crepe of course! Located 1/2 mile from trainstop and not in a tourist area.

Refreshingly different - Edit

I don't think I'd ever been to a vegan crepe cafe before but had heard excellent things about this place and we were't disappointed!

The atmosphere is nice with good music playing and friendly staff. All the crepes are names after famous veggie celebrities and there's plenty of variety, with both sweet and savoury crepes to choose from, along with salads and desserts. You can also have your crepe gluten-free with buckwheat flour for another Euro if you wish.

We had a raw salad and a lentil salad to start, followed by a soy meat and BBQ bean crepe and a curry and chickpea crepe, which were both really nice and came with a small salad. We also had a selection of desserts, including apple and cinnamon tiramisu, chocolate cake and banana loaf.

We enjoyed the food and had a nice evening there. I would definitely recommend it.

Pros: Good music, Friendly staff, Deleicious crepes

Fantastic crepes - Edit

My boyfriend and I and two of our (non-vegan) friends came for dinner here - we each got a different crepe and we were all really satisfied! The fillings were delicious and inventive.

The staff were lovely, English-speaking and very understanding when we originally made an error paying our bill.

We only wish we had tried the dessert crepes too - the flavours looked amazing!

My only suggestion for improvement would be to make table water available.

Pros: Delicious crepes, Nice staff , Pleasant atmosphere!

Excellent Food - Edit

All around good food. There is something for every kind of vegans. We shared the Erykah Badu crepe, which is a chickpea curry, and that was simple but excellent. We also ordered a sandwich, the apple walnut chutney one, and it was such a tasty combination. The lentil beet salad was also delicious. For dessert, the chocolate beet brownie was superb. Our overall dining experience was excellent. It's now our favorite vegan spot in Berlin. The owners know what they're doing! It's really worth a visit.

Pros: Excellent food, Good value, Friendly owners

Cons: None
