Grasmere Gingerbread

The gingerbread is very yummy (though I suspect one of the secret ingedients is sugar, and lots of it). There are some other vegan items on sale such as chocolate-coated Kendal Mint Cake and Booja Booja items. The premises is pretty but extremely small, so a bit of a squeeze at times.

The gingerbread is delicious, and the staff can confirm that it is vegan. Definitely worth a visit!

The recipe is secret, but they guarantee that it is vegan. Make sure you buy a big packet of it because it is so tasty!

The friendly owners of Fox Hall Vegan B&B told us that Grasmere Gingerbread is vegan so off we went to find some.
Mmmmm no wonder it's said to be the best gingerbread that you'll ever taste. The flavour and texture were just gorgeous - like none we'd ever tried. We only bought a small packet to eat later but wish we'd bought more once we'd tasted it. The shop sells other things, but no idea if anything else was vegan, but it's worth visiting for the gingerbread alone.
