Unfortunately, my favorite (and the oldest remaining) vegan fast food restaurant permanently closed its doors in December 2025.

Amazing price & Customer Service - Edit
I had a wonderful experience here! We ordered the Calamari, Gyro wrap, Finn wrap, & the Currywurst plate, all for just 26 euros! Everything tasted fresh and delicious, but the real highlight was the incredible service. The owner, who was running the entire place on his own, was unbelievably kind, welcoming, and humble. Truly a masterclass in hospitality. It’s sad to hear he’s thinking about closing, but I’m grateful I had the chance to visit and support him. Highly recommend.

This place is/was the result of almost 20 years of hard work by someone who knew what the world needed and committed himself to providing it; cheap, plentiful, good vegan food. In the time since it opened much has changed and little for the better, but at the very least he was vindicated — food free from cruelty is now available on virtually every street across the city. Yoyo is a victim of its own success. It will be sorely missed, and everyone who ate there is blessed.

I wanted to visit this early days vegan fast food restaurant once I was told about its good value for money. After I found out that it’s due to close by end of this year, I did as part of a community dinner series. Just come every first Thursday of the month and have dinner with other vegans.
Read moreThe food is super value for money. I had the gyros plate, which was plenty of food even in the small version for just 7.50 Euro. The tzatziki style sauce was pretty garlicky. The gyros made of some kind of soya protein that was well spiced. Inside smells a bit like I imagine a Greasy Spoon would.
Order at the counter and wait for your call to pick up. Cash only.

I had the scampi wrap, a drink, and a cheesecake. None of it was amazing, but I think I paid less than half what I'd pay for the same meal somewhere else. The drinks in particular were only slightly more expensive than you'd pay in a supermarket. For value for money alone, it gets 4 stars.

Hier gibt’s Burger, Wraps & co. Eine große Auswahl an veganem Fast Food. War lecker aber nicht wirklich Special. Der Laden sieht aber cool aus von innen, der Mitarbeiter der uns bedient hatte war leider etwas unfreundlich. Dafür waren die Portionen aber echt groß & die Preise dafür gut.

Sie haben eine erstaunlich krass gute und Preislich angenehme Auswahl. Natürlich ist es alles nur FastFood, aber halt Mega lecker! Klare Empfehlung, ich gehe dort immer gerne mal wieder hin wenn ich in der Nähe bin, es dauert bist man dort einmal alles durch hat.

Was better back in the days - Edit
Was at Yoyo‘s quite often back in the days. It was really good and super affordable. Usually went for the Burgers or Gyrosplate. Has the Gyrosplate again but was not vey convinced. Food was kinda cold, soy curls were not really crispy and overall taste was blend. It‘s alright but not what it used to be.

We had the seitan currywurst, schnitzel Hawaii burger (both with fries) and 2 beers. All the food was amazing and served really quickly. It cost less than €25 altogether which is an absolute bargain!

We came here for curryworst, since I'd read that this is among the best places for it, and found it sort of middling, but then I've never been blown away by curryworst so I've begun to think I'm just not so much a fun of curryworst.

Ten years ago I would have said that yoyos had the best burgers in the world, not just cheap but also tasty and little crunchy fries… And when i lived around the corner the gyros plate was my go to choice because it was soo good and filling and affordable. But after coming back a couple years later I am disappointed. Maybe I just tried too much other vegan food or I am just getting old or it is just not as good as it used to be. The gyros plate that comes with fries and salad basically consisted of 1/3 of green lettuces, just the Eisberg-salad leaves. Same with a nugget wrap we got. It was big, but basically half of it was Eisberg lettuce and then there were like 3 to 4 nuggets getting lost in the salad leaves.
