great cheap spicy indian food

finally managed to get here. they place was pretty crowded, but we could still find a table. as mentioned before, you can get an all you can eat buffet for only 9 eur. the food is seriously good and spicy ! the restaurant is visited by quite a lot of actual indians which is usually a good sign if you go out to eat indian food. i would definetely recommend this place, great quality food, very close to the central station for no money at all. what more do you want !

tasty falafel

very taste falafel for a small price. very friendly and helpfull staff. 3,5-4,5 eur for a falafel sandwish with 3-5 big, tasty falafel balls. it's a small place with 3 tables where you can sit at, nothing for a fancy dinner but ideal for a quick visit.

only con: there is no toilet

good food but not cheap

the food is quite good but prices are a bit high for what you get. there is a menu for 30 eur per person or single dishes for around 12 euro, but i was still hungry after that. pity.

the regular waiter didn't understand us but the owner (I guess) spoke good english and was very friendly and correct.

nice place

nice place to stock up on some veg food. good prices and very friendly staff !

Huge supermarket

Compared to other heath food shop this is huge. It is actually a complete supermarket. Evereything they sell is organic, not everything is vegetarian though! They also sell organic meat and dairy but still it offers the greatest choice in vegetarian and vegan food you can find. Has several branches in Belgium.

Great value for money

It's a small restaurant that offers you a choice of veggie/vegan indian food. The owner is very friendly and makes your food as you want it. Samosa's were really great, the curry was good and all for a cheap prive. worth a visit.

Via del Governo Vecchio 54/55, Rome, Italy

small portions

this is mainly an ice creme and dessert shop but it also sells hot food. everything is vegan, so that is a big plus. on the otherhand, portions really are too small and value for money it just doesn't do it. the food is good though but they should at least double their portions to be fair.

Great choice

Go for the daily menu, it's cheaper and it tastes really great. Has about 4 daily changing menu's to choose from, internationnaly inspired, eg japenese, thai, indian, moroccon... and you can actually ask for seconds! My favourite in Stockholm.

Múzeum Körut 19, Budapest, Hungary

small

a really small buffet style place next to a health food store, not really a proper restaurant but more of a place to quickly go get something to eat and continue what you were doing

Kirchhofstr. 41, Berlin, Germany

italian food

we ate a pizza and lasagne here, both vegan. the food is presented nice. the pizza was ok, with vegan cheese. lasagne was honestly a bit disappointing, it was not very tasty, had no vegetables in it (only tomatosauce and fake meat) and was actually not hot when they served it. prices were reasonable.

Decent, not spectacular

First of all, the second branch in the centre of the town, VegExpress is gone, so don't go looking for it. The branch at Batterny Ter serves cheap decent food, although you need to be lucky, sometimes there is not much choice left and the food is not spectacular.

Went back in 2013. Food is still the same buffet-style. It's a good veggie/vegan option when you are in the neighbourhood, but it's too salty for my taste.

The place to be

This is the place to be if you are interested in veggie/vegan information about Belgium. Also has lots of info on it's website www.evavzw.be including maps of several cities in Belgium with the most veggie/vegan friendly places to go to. Well worth the visist !

To avoid ! Label vegetarian not correct

Be aware that this chain is putting the label 'Vege' on food that contains animal rennet. When I pointed out that this is absolutely not done, they replied that not everyone takes it so strictly. This is of course not the point, you can not put misleading labels on your food simply because not everyone takes his/her diet as strict. It's like putting pork in your food and labeling it 'halal' because not every muslim is strict in that!

Spicy food, try the plate menu

Hare Krishna food. The food was pretty spicy even sometimes a bit too spicy for my taste buds. The menu plates give you nice big portions for a very decent price. It is located in a cellar but it can be very hot inside.
