To avoid ! Label vegetarian not correct - Edit
Be aware that this chain is putting the label 'Vege' on food that contains animal rennet. When I pointed out that this is absolutely not done, they replied that not everyone takes it so strictly. This is of course not the point, you can not put misleading labels on your food simply because not everyone takes his/her diet as strict. It's like putting pork in your food and labeling it 'halal' because not every muslim is strict in that!

Salads and sandwiches are premade and packed for takeaway. I chose a sandwich and ordered a coffee. When you eat in, you receive a ceramic cup instead of a disposable one. Eating in is more expensive than takeaway.

I had a quinoa salad which was tasty. Carrot soup was fresh but quite bland. Interesting beverage options, I had a kombucha drink. Only plastic or other un-reusable plates, cutlery etc. even if you eat in. I recommend Exki if you need food to go.

Vegan options when in a hurry! - Edit
Exki is conveniently located 5 minutes from the Central Station, so if you don't have time to go to town, it can be very handy. I usually drop by when I have a train to catch.
Read moreThey have many vegan options (correctly labeled as such - search for the Vegan mark), which are not always the same, but include soup, sandwiches, and bowls. There are also juices and other drinks.
I recently had the falafel bowl (Casablanca) and it was tasty; but I've tried other dishes before which were just ok.
Everything is available for take-out.
Prices are fair (eat-in prices are a bit more expensive), and portions are also correct (at least for me).

Lifesaver - Edit
This place is a lifesaver if you're short on time since everything is already prepared and can be eaten quickly or for takeaway. Everything is properly labeled when veg or vegan. There's several options for vegans like salads, sandwiches, quiche, pastry and other stuff.

Read moreLocated in a nice corner close to the Central Station, bus stop, and pedestrian street, Exki is a cosy place always busy from breakfast to dinner (closes at 20.00 p,m.). The ingredients list (mostly organic and vegetarian) is their best bet.

Convenient and delicious - Edit
Really easy to find near the station they serve takeaways as well as eat in. Polite and friendly their food was delicious and their chocolate cake yummy.

They are a great place to go for takeaways with or without meat. My vegetable couscous was full of flavour and more vegetable than couscous. Their chocolate cake is so yummy I'm surprised there is any left in the shop and there certainly won't be when I next visit Antwerp.
