Yummy, cheap bagels

Great bagels and very vegan friendly. I got the tofu sandwich on a whole wheat bagel with sprouts, avocado, kalamata olive spread, and hummus. (Whole wheat may have had honey in it, though... oops.) Cheap and delicious! Great for breakfast or lunch.

They also have Smart Balance to put on bagels instead of butter, which is a really nice touch! I loved my cinnamon raisin bagel with Smart Balance. Yum!

Friendly staff. Fast service.

Best brunch I've ever had

The brunch at Cafe Morgenrot was my favorite meal in Berlin. The vegan/vegetarian brunch is out of this world good and so cheap for what you get. I went back to fill up my bowl and plate at least three times with the delicious and carefully prepared food. Every individual dish was so flavorful. They had vegan yogurt, museli, fresh fruit and vegetables, salads and pasta salads, homemade spreads (including the most mouth-watering vegan chocolate spread I've ever tasted), scrambled tofu, fresh bread, vegan butter, jams, curried tofu, and a lot more.

The atmosphere is so chill and I loved the hippieness of it all. It's really cool that you can pay anywhere between 5 and 9 euros for your meal (suggested 7) depending on what you feel you can afford. What a cool concept!

Great veggie food

Really good, fresh food and a nice atmosphere. Was pretty packed but we got a table soon enough (they do take reservations so it's a good idea to make one if you can). We enjoyed the fried roots (like french fries but also made of beets) and the veggie balls as well as the specials. Located in a lovely area of Copenhagen on a very cool street. My only complaint is that I asked for hummus instead tzakiki (it's not vegan) and ended up with a huge glob tzakiki and hardly any hummus. They're a little understaffed and the staff is extremely busy so be sure they take note of any substitutions!

Adorable cafe with several vegan options

I was so delighted to find this cute little cafe in downtown Lewisburg! In addition to coffee and tea, they had a great brunch and lunch menu with many vegan options; I had a hard time deciding what to get! They also had several vegan desserts including chocolate espresso cookies and oatmeal raisin- the latter were amazing!

I got a grilled tofu salad with sesame dressing and it was fresh and delicious.

The place itself is adorable and well decorated with local art on the walls and a light, fun ambiance. Friendly staff and quick service! Would definitely go back if I lived in the area, especially to check out their vegan brunch options (including tofu scramble!)

so bad we walked out

I had heard good things about ChuChai so decided to try it out. We sat on the front patio and ordered the chicken skewers in peanut sauce, lemongrass shrimp salad, and beef in Penang curry.

Service and atmosphere were fine. But the food was gross. The peanut sauce tasted like sickeningly sweet peanut butter (no tang or other flavor at all) and the shrimp tasted just like soap. The texture was revolting. We couldn't eat them. We canceled our main dish (the beef) and left. They charged us for just one of the dishes, and the waitress seemed upset that we were so displeased with the food.

We found this to be bad vegan food and bad thai food - just bad food all around. Such a disappointment because most of the vegan food I've had in Montreal has been great.

AWESOME bakery w/ vegan Danish pastries!

I am in love with this place. I wish I could live in Copenhagen just so I could eat these pastries every day. I visited for three days and went to the bakery (and the other location) at least twice every day! Such awesome traditional Danish baked goods and you would absolutely never know they were vegan!

The kanelsnegl (cinnamon roll) was out of this world delicious. I also went crazy for the spiced banana pear cake and the apple cakes. Even my non-vegan boyfriend liked the baked goods at Naturbageriet better than the non-vegan baked goods around Copenhagen.

I literally could not get enough of this place. I died and went to vegan pastry heaven. You MUST go if you're in Copenhagen!

Delicious food -- slow service

The appetizers, tea, and soup my co-workers and I enjoyed at Zen Gardens were fantastic. The soup (one of the main course options) was especially delicious -- it had an amazingly rich broth and one of the most delicious faux meats I've ever had. The portions were a little too small, in my opinion.

The atmosphere is lovely and very zen, but the service was incredibly slow. This is not a place to go if you're in a hurry, although our waiter did seem to speed things up quite a bit once we told him we were in a time crunch.

yummy but not healthy!

I went to the restaurant on its opening day and enjoyed the atmosphere even though it was crowded and a little hectic. They only have two tables outside and limited seating downstairs but the restaurant is clean and nicely decorated- very similar to a nice burger joint in NYC.

The burgers are very yummy and I particularly liked the vegan cheese, which was melty and could have easily fooled any dairy-eater! The bun was slightly burnt on one side, but this may be a kink they'll work out. There could have been more veggies on the burger, but this is fast food after all! The burgers smell like meaty fast food burgers, and I'm sure that even a non-vegan/vegetarian would love them.

I tried two vegan desserts: an apple almond tart and peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies. The tart was good but not great, and the cookies were very good; the chocolate was delicious.

This place is unlike other restaurants I've been to that serve veggie burgers because it is NOT supposed to be healthy; it is truly fast food! If you are looking for a wholesome meal with lots of healthy veggies this is not the best place to go. If you want a quick, cheap (for Paris), satisfying burger, fries, and an American dessert then East Side Burgers is a great choice.

The only negative is that they do serve some animal products. The restaurant could, in my opinion, do just as well without serving any products of cruelty. Vegan baked goods and delicious vegan cheese would more than suffice! I don't think anyone would miss the cheese on their burgers or eggs in their muffins.

Incredible vegan hot chocolate

I never expected to find vegan hot chocolate in Quebec City, but I did some sleuthing and found Erico Chocolaterie. Their soy milk-based hot chocolate is to die for. Rich, dark, and with a multi-faceted flavor, it will not disappoint!

They also have a wide variety of dairy-free dark chocolates, including fleur de sel, coffee, hazelnut, almond, orange, and many others.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They did mention that the chocolates could contain small traces of milk (they are made in the same place as the other chocolates).

If you go, check out the attached chocolate museum (free entry). Leave a note in their comment book about how much you enjoyed the vegan options!

Excellent eggplant in garlic sauce!

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner while staying at Farm Sanctuary. I went in with low expectations but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the eggplant in garlic sauce- it was delicious, and included many different types of well-cooked vegetables in addition to the eggplant. I appreciated that they had a vegetarian menu and the waitress even asked if we were vegan.

Good brunch but a little pricey

The brunch at Kalaset was very good if not a little expensive (especially if you're used to dollars!) The atmosphere is cosy and the staff is friendly. The food was fresh and I enjoyed the homemade spreads (jams, vegan "nutella") and museli. I appreciated that they had vegan yogurt as well. It's too bad that the place isn't entirely vegan and that they don't serve vegan pancakes!

Inexpensive (for Copenhagen) good Indian food

Reasonably priced very good (not excellent) Indian food in a really cool atmosphere and friendly service. Clearly marked vegan items. I got the chana, which was yummy but not fantastic.

Great traditional German (but vegan!) food!

Kopps is such a great value- creative, yummy food; awesome atmosphere; friendly service; and very moderate prices. It's an awesome way to get a taste of traditional German food without involving animals! I went with my vegetarian (skeptical of veganism) boyfriend and he absolutely loved it. Would definitely be suitable for omnivores as well.

The currywurst tasted like real hot dogs, and the rice pudding was to die for. I had to get the vegan cheese plate, which was a little pricey but very, very good.

Kopps is a must if you're visiting Berlin!

decent food, nice atmosphere

The best part of this place is that vegan options are clearly labeled, which is rare for Paris restaurants. They have menus in French and English.

I had a vegan vegetable soup, a "pot-au-feu" (like a stew with big chunks of veggies and quinoa), and a soy chai latte with cardamom for dessert (they also have a fruit cup). I enjoyed the ambiance, but the food was a little lackluster. It was fresh, though, as was the accompanying bread, and was pretty good after a good douse of salt.

This would be a great place to take a visiting non-vegan because there are plenty of options for veggies and omnivores, and it's pretty traditionally French. Between my dad and me we had two main dishes, a small soup, one dessert, and one latte for 30 euros. Not bad.

The service was slow and cold but hey, that's Paris.

Awesome lunch spot with many vegan options

Stopped in for lunch and had a great soup and sandwich. Gourmet, creative food for cheap. Had a spicy peanut tofu soup and a local tofu sandwich with arugula, tomato, and fig-Dijon dressing. Yummy roll came with the soup.

All vegan options are clearly labeled, and there are many of them!

The place was cool and hipstery with a great beer and other drink selection. It was busy but we didn't wait in line and the service was quick. They were a little slow to deal with an overflowing trash can, but that's really the only negative!

Great downtown location, too.

Highly recommend!

Best sandwiches I've ever had at a restaurant

Wonderful, fresh, creative sandwiches in a very lovely restaurant. Vegan options are somewhat limited, but the staff are pretty accommodating. The bread is incredible, and the veggies couldn't be more flavorful. They are great about sourcing flavorful produce.

It's definitely worth a trip! Best sandwiches I've ever had.

AWESOME bakery w/ vegan Swedish pastries!

I am in love with this place. I visited for three days and went to the bakery at least once every day! Such awesome traditional Swedish baked goods and you would absolutely never know they were vegan!

The cinnamon rolls, poppy-seed danishes, pecan pie, and carrot cake were out of this world delicious. Even my non-vegan boyfriend loved the baked goods at Naturbageriet. I wish I was there longer so I could have tried more of their savory pastries and breads; they all looked so wonderful.

The cashier was extremely friendly and we had a nice long conversation with him.

I literally could not get enough of this place. I died and went to vegan pastry heaven. You MUST go if you're in Stockholm!
