Vegan ice cream - Edit
They have a little selection of vegan ice cream that is to die for (and a rare find in Québec city). When asked about the ingredients, they made sure with me that it didn't have any dairy.
It's my to go place for ice cream in Quebec city.
Pros: Great ice cream choice, friendly staff

yummy dairy-free hot chocolate! - Edit
Friendly, nice stop for a rich dairy-free hot chocolate (soy based). In the summer they have soy gelato.

Awesome stop on Saint-Jean - Edit
We had the cassis and raspberry tofu ice cream and the dark chocolate tofu ice cream, both were amazing! Definently a good stop, we're going back for the soy milk based hot chocolate tomorrow.
Pros: Good value, Vegan ice cream, Really nice staff
Cons: Lots of dairy, it's a chocolate store

Tofu-based iced cream! - Edit
I was extremely pleased to see chocolate ice cream (tofu-based) when I went to Érico. It was fabulous and refreshing.
There are also some 25 cents machines in the museum for you to sample different kinds of coffee beans.
Pros: Free museum onsite, Friendly staff
Cons: Few options

Incredible vegan hot chocolate - Edit
I never expected to find vegan hot chocolate in Quebec City, but I did some sleuthing and found Erico Chocolaterie. Their soy milk-based hot chocolate is to die for. Rich, dark, and with a multi-faceted flavor, it will not disappoint!
They also have a wide variety of dairy-free dark chocolates, including fleur de sel, coffee, hazelnut, almond, orange, and many others.
The staff were friendly and helpful. They did mention that the chocolates could contain small traces of milk (they are made in the same place as the other chocolates).
If you go, check out the attached chocolate museum (free entry). Leave a note in their comment book about how much you enjoyed the vegan options!
Pros: Incredible vegan hot chocolate, Wide variety of vegan chocolates, Interesting chocolate museum
Cons: No vegan gelato, Many non-vegan chocolates
