Desserts are good! - Edit

It's a cute coffee shop and they have lots of dessert options, I had a piece of the cheesecake and it was good, but a little bit dry. I do want to come back to try some more.

Pros: Easy to find

Cons: Customer Service is weird, cold.

A eviter! AVOID! - Edit

J'y étais l'autre jour tester après tout ce hype sur facebook: à éviter absolument! On est très mal reçu, la fille toujours au téléphone, le garçon toujours dans une discussion forte d'affaires. Comme si on les gênait... Et la bouffe pas bonne...

Cons: Very bad service and food, little choice

great desserts! - Edit

We arrived to this small Cafe in St. Germain in the late afternoon, so we didn't have many choices for lunch. The sandwiches we're very nice, but the real deal here are the desserts!

Good food - Edit

We got the chick'n baguette, a tiramisu, chocolate cupcake and chai lattes, which all in all was good - the tiramisu was fantastic and was the chai latte, but the baguette didn't have much filling and the cupcake was on the dryer side. The waitress was lovely, but there wasn't a huge amount of choice. It was good but I think it wasn't quite up to vegan Paris standard unfortunately.

Pros: amazing tiramisu, friendly staff

Cons: cold vibe, okay food

Oh my goodness the Opera cake! - Edit

It was my birthday this weekend and my boyfriend surprised me with 2 boxes of vegan cakes for me and my friends. (Its worth mentioning that my friends aren't vegan or even vegetarian). The cakes were a big hit!

The opera cake, was by far my favourite with a rich chocolate orange taste, the cheesecake was also very good and the brownie was a little dry but also nice.

Would love to go back and eat in next time.

If you go there, get the opera cake!!!

Very disappointing - Edit

It's described as a bakery but there was literally two types of cheesecake and a couple of cookies! We got a slice each of the cheesecake and it was very ordinary. Strangely one tasted of lemon despite looking chocolate/caramel...it didn't taste like either. We also got coffee and chai...both were very weak and tasteless. €20 later and well...we kinda felt ripped off when usually money is no object when it comes to supporting vegan establishments. With plenty of amazing vegan food elsewhere in Paris, I say save your time and money and go elsewhere.

Pros: Cute neighbourhood , Gluten free available

Cons: Lack of options, Overpriced for the taste/quality , clinical environment

Good sandwich and staff - Edit

The bakery is perfectly located in the lively but very touristic rue Mouffetard.
I ordered a sandwich with roasted vegetables, fermented tofu ("Sojami" brand) and salad. It was good and pretty filling.
In terms of quality/quantity, it's completely worth it !
Some years ago, I wasn't that much convinced with their vegan-brownie (but I did not order it this time).
The staff is very friendly and the bakery is completely vegan and pretty much activist (check their facebook page, they often hold lectures with french and international vegan activists and scholars). One of the best place in Paris in terms of political involvement.
ps: there is a cash dispenser directly on the front of the bakery.

Pros: Good sandwich, Friendly staff, Political involvement

Cons: Small place (very few seats)

tasty desserts - Edit

I liked the cupcakes and the cakes that I tried. The icing of the cupcakes is very special and not that much my taste but nevertheless it was good. The cheesecakes I had tasted good too but not after cheesecake. I would go there again and would recommend it!

Pros: good variation of desserts, yummie

Cons: not that good located, not very cozy to sit down

déception - Edit

C'est appétissant en vitrine et, au goût, eh bien... c'est franchement pas ça! Ni saveur franche ni de tenue en bouche. En plus c'est très cher.

Pros: original

Cons: fade, cher

GOOD VEGAN CAKES!! - Edit

I love to go to Vegan Folie's to take out vegan cakes and other sweets. Always good.
Unfortunately its absolutely not a place to stay in and sit down. The interior is cold and not welcoming or cosy. To improve!

Pros: cakes

Cons: interior

Good place for lunch - Edit

I would really recommend this place if you want to eat a quick lunch, not as much if you want to have a dessert. I've had their sandwiches and the baguettes are filling and very tasty, as are the toppings. The soup is tasty and filling as well.

The cheesecake was okay but nothing special, a little overpriced at 6€ and the brownie was dry.

The café felt a little impersonal but the staff was very friendly and upbeat. I also think it had a good location as I had a hard time finding vegan food in the area.

Pros: Nice soup and sandwiches, Friendly staff, Good location

Cons: Bland desserts

Cheesecake a go-go - Edit

We went to Vegan Folies after visiting the Market in Rue Mouffetard, because we wanted to try some vegan cakes. We had to wait the opening (they only open at 11:00 am) but it was worth it, as we had two delicious pieces of cheesecake. Had we waited a couple of minutes longer they would have brought out some gorgeous-looking cupcakes and other kind of cakes ... unfortunately we didn't manage to try them, too!

Pros: Excellent choice of vegan cakes

Cons: They only open at 11:00 am

Leckere Eiscreme! - Edit

Pros: vegan

Dissapointing - Edit

Despite bad reviews I decided to look for this place while I was in Paris. However, I am now agreeing with them. The selection of cakes while I was there was very small and not very exciting, and it was lunchtime during the tourist season, when I would expect them to have the most. I had a berry and chocolate cake and a coffee and as much as it was okay it was quite bland, and not any better than cakes I make myself, definitely not better than the vegan cakes at the cafe I work at. An interesting find, but I wouldn't go back.

Pros: Some Range , Convenient Location , Helpful Waitress

Cons: Bland Cake , Strange Texture , Uninteresting

disappointing - Edit

I really didn't like this place - the deserts were expensive (€6 for cake) and just not nice - the service was also not overly friendly. Almost nowhere to sit - wouldn't go back. If you have lower standards for vegan cake maybe you'd be into it

Pros: selection

Cons: price, service, nowhere really to sit

Great spot - Edit

As somehow who clearly and painfully remembers Paris years ago when vegan food was largely nonexistent, beyond South East Asian and some North African and Middel Eastern options - I welcome and applaud this place. Cakes on the Left Bank. Merci a tout!

Pros: Vegan cakes , Tasty salads, Lovely location

Good option for vegan students - Edit

It's not so easy to find a vegan place to eat in the Latin Quarter of Paris, infested with creperies and bars so it's quite convenient for students of any of the nearby universities.

I tried the smoked tofu sandwich and a brownie. I enjoyed them, they were tasty and were a decent and quick lunch although a bit expensive for my taste.

I will come back to try their other sandwiches and maybe their offer "Salad+Soup+Cake for 10€".

Pros: Location, Quick, Nice sandwiches

Cons: A bit expensive

Bit disappointing - Edit

I've been a few times for take out. A couple of times there has been very little to choose from.

I like this area and location, it's quite quaint with cobbled streets.

I have had the brownie, cheesecake, a cupcake and a cookie so far.

The cheesecake doesn't really taste close to one to me and wouldn't be to my taste. At 6 euros it was a lot to end up in the bin.

The cupcake I had was dry and bland and had a floral flavour added to it so it kind of tasted like old lady! They must not have greased the cake bun enough either as it was stuck to the cake and half of the dry cake lumped off with the paper.

The cookie was a bit dry and tasted too healthy but I did enjoy the brownie,

I'd still go back again in any case to try the milkshakes and sandwiches. Hopefully I will enjoy those a bit more.

Pros: nice brownies, location

Cons: limited selection on on occasion, overpriced for some items , dry and flavourless for some stuff

Good option for vegan sweets on Rive Gauche - Edit

Visited several times in the last couple of years.

At the beginning, desserts at Vegan Folie's seemed too sweet; but after you get adjusted to desserts in Paris, I'd say it's the average level of sweetness (but still a bit too sweet for me).

Because they have a good variety of items, it's a good place for taking out.
I personally prefer the savory tarts; but they serve also sandwiches, salads and soups, which seem rather simple; but fair considering the price and portions.

There are just a few seats to eat-in, they are not so cozy; but it will do for a quick bite.

Pros: variety of sweets, opens on Sundays, friendly service

Cons: none

Not as good as it looks - Edit

We went several times and tried a lot of different dishes.
Very good sandwiches and hazelnut milkshake !
Cookie was pretty good. But we found the brownies a little bit dry, cheesecake and cupcake were pretty average.
Nice place but just a few seats and you have to sit side by side: no tables !

Very nice waitresses.

Was Hoping For More Options - Edit

Not sure if it's because we stopped by mid afternoon but there just didn't seem like that much to choose from and was hoping for more options. Alas, I will not pass up the opportunity to try vegan food abroad so I ordered a brownie and cheesecake, both of which were tasty...and worth the stop.

Side note: there's a cute little area just up the street with a fountain that is a perfect location to enjoy your treat

Good cheesecake, but not a "French" patisserie - Edit

We tried a slice of cheesecake which was good and they had a take away container when we couldn't finish it.
I don't why it had gotten into my head that they would have French pastries here, but they sure didn't - so don't expect that.
Overall: the cake was good, the place was small and not that cosy, but the service was friendly.

Not as good as we'd hoped - Edit

We were really looking forward to visit a vegan bakery in Paris, but were not so impressed in the end. The cheesecake and the cookie were not bad, but not cheap and didn't blow us away. There was not really an atmosphere, it was very "clean" and quiet (no music).

Pros: Vegan bakery

Cons: Price/quality, Atmosphere
