Great for breakfast!

We tried Backyard Bowls for the first time today and were thrilled! Everything was made fresh and our bowls were delicious! I had the Ultimate Oatmeal Bowl (hold the raisins) with fresh strawberries and added coconut. My husband had the Spartan Muesli with strawberries, blueberries and banana. We both left feeling stuffed and energized - we'll be back!

The ambiance of this place is like a southwestern TGI Fridays - totally cheesy theme restaurant vibe. The menu had a few vegan options, but when our food came it didn't seem very fresh and was not flavorful at all. I ordered some sort of noodle bowl and ended up feeling pretty gross after eating it - how do you OVERCOOK a noodle bowl?! Seemed like it had been sitting for a while. The service was friendly but they seated us all the way in the back by the kitchen door when there were plenty of booths and nicer tables available (they said they were ALL reserved - hard to believe.) If you need something fast and casual this restaurant will serve in a pinch, but I don't recommend it (especially considering all the other options San Luis Obispo has to offer!)

Truly vegan, peaceful ambiance!

This little restaurant was so cute and welcoming! The chef and staff were all so nice and we had an amazing and very FILLING meal! I had a vegan quiche that was delicious and iced Mate by the glass. It was a wonderful lunch and we will be back!

Good food, but...

Me and my husband were so happy when an all vegan restaurant opened up in SB! The food is very flavorful and there are several yummy veggie-meat dishes and a few things we had never had before (like the jackfruit tacos which are delicious.) However I see from other peoples reviews that we are not the only ones who have gotten rude service in this place, nor are we the only ones to have noticed the ever-climbing price list. In fact, I am sad to say that we have finally stopped eating at Adama because of these two factors.
Last time we went there for dinner we were sad to see that the restaurant was EMPTY except for us and about 4 other people. We were seated in a dark stuffy side-room in the furthest corner table because we "didn't have reservations" and when we took a look at the menu were shocked to see that their prices had almost DOUBLED. My usual favorite (the Piccata) had gone up to $22, and the Jackfruit tacos (of which you are now served 2 when I SWEAR it was 3 in the past) are now $16!!! It makes me sad, but when the prices are going up, the portions are shrinking and the staff treats you with indifference it just isn't worth it.

This is a wonderful little restaurant run by a very friendly french-speaking British woman who seems to do everything herself! My husband and I each had a huge platter of food for a reasonable price and everything was delicious!

Not so good...

My husband felt VERY VERY SICK after eating here. Seriously, he couldn't eat anything for the next 24 hours - he even went over to the Urgent Care the next morning to get checked out by a doctor, it was that bad! We will not be going back, that's for certain. The food wasn't very exciting, and the menu was pretty limited for vegan choices. It's a shame too, because the staff was very friendly and it seemed like a cute local place.

Couldn't do it...

My husband and I went in to Enzo's with every intention of getting a vegan pizza and enjoying our meal, but the place is filled with MEAT. Not just on the menu, but visibly out and all around you! Sausage, salami, ham, relic meats... The worst part was that while we were waiting in line the staff kept coming and going from the kitchen and as the door swung open you could see huge strips of cows RIBS piled up in the kitchen! Needless to say we just couldn't eat there. We left and went to Natural Cafe...

A very cute little vegan place, but the menu is pretty limited (seemed to be mostly faux chicken sandwiches). A bit expensive for what you get, and I have to admit my chocolate cake (though it looked beautiful) was pretty dry. They forgot the chipotle sauce on my husbands chipotle sandwich. Oh well!

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about. My food here was pretty bland and unexciting, and the portions were very small. I didn't dislike it, it just wasn't all that great.

Nice presentation - Really OVER PRICED!!!

My husband and I ate here ONE time and haven't been back. To be fair, the ambiance was cozy, food was okay, looked really pretty when it was served, but the portions were microscopic! We were totally shocked when he bill came! They even charged for the water they served us! Not to mention my dessert; $9.00 for a martini glass full of chopped mango and coconut shavings (it came with some fancy name that made it sound exotic)! I'm really not one to fuss about the price of a nice dinner out, but this was outlandish for what we actually got. All told, the bill was upwards of $80 - and we didn't even order wine!

We tried just about every flavor of studel! Probably ate WAY too much - but it was well worth it! We had a wonderful breakfast in a beautiful place!

The food was great and very affordable! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was very comfortable and relaxed (very "funky"). Our favorite was the grilled "chicken" sandwich on rye - to DIE for! We also had breakfast there in the morning and I had a wonderful vegan om-lette with hash browns and fresh (tropical) fruit. We also had some awesome vegan cheesecake! Everything right down to the iced tea was delicious! We ate WAAAAY to much!

Cute place! Good food! Rude waitress...

My mom and I had a good experience at this cute little restaurant. The food was good (especially my moms moussaka) and the owner / boss of the place was SUPER sweet and accommodating. There were several vegan options as well. The waitress was rude though. Very condescending. We didn't have a reservation and she actually asked us "How long are you going to take to eat?" (A little weird.) But the atmosphere was relaxed and the decor was REALLY cute! Just be sure to get a reservation!

The food was very flavorful and the portions were huge! They brought out these beautiful little pots of some sort of spiced tea that tasted INCREDIBLE! Everything was very fresh and we left very very full (with leftovers!)

My mom and I just did a trip to Ireland and were making our way through Co. Cork on the N71. I was STARVING! I cannot describe my joy when I saw Organico Cafe! What a relief! Even though they had just stopped serving (at 3:30), they were happy to rewarm some food for us and put together a great meal! I had a delicious tomato and fennel soup with fresh bread and rice noodle salad on the side. My mom (not vegetarain) had a slice of goat cheese and eggplant "savory tart" (like a light quiche) that came with 2 side salads - her meal disappeared in under 5 minutes! Only paid 10 euro each for our meals and drinks combined - very cheap compared to other places we had been eating. Its not a VEGAN place, so you have to be sure to specify non-dairy (or you'll be scooping yogurt garnish out of your soup like me), but they were very friendly and accommodating. What a treasure to find in Ireland!

I love that Pizza Guru actually offers Vegan pizzas WITH "CHEESE" and veggie "meats"! The atmosphere is very like a cozy traditional pizza-parlour, just like I remember going to when I was a kid. It's a wonderful treat and their pizzas are always fresh and delicious! They serve a nice selection of local wine too!

The waiter was very friendly, the atmosphere was really fun (old west), the food came fast, and it was delicious! I had a plate with 3 different kinds of vegan enchiladas and I couldn't decide which one was best! Not everything was veggie, but they were very accomodating.
