Size if Not Everything

We went for a dinner and was not happy with the food nor the cleanliness. Waiters snacking on food from the kitchen.

We had a soup (Mushroom), the Vegan special and a Lasagna. The soup was lacking in flavour. The Vegan Meal was huge and too much food for the average person. It was not tasty due to too much oil. Enough food on the Vegan Special for two people. The Lasagna was better. The meal was very pricey, the most expensive out of the four vegetarian restaurants we went to.

The location is great being next to the canal and the setting is rustic and down to earth.

So many heatlhy options

I stayed at the delta chelsea hotel and this was right next door so I ended up eating there every night. You pay by the weight of food so there is no waste and you pick from the buffet which has so many healthy options. This rates as one of my favourite places. There is music some evenings. The setting is informal and because it is a help yourself there is no waiting. Dishes move quickly so the food is always fresh and hot. Many added extra's such as sprouts, grains, seeds etc. Would and do go back whenever I am in Toronto.

Quick and

I have had the falafal (5) and salad in pita bread. Service is pretty quick and it is eat in or take away. Price was reasonable and service pleasant. There was a reasonable selection for salad and you stuff the pita bread with what you like and what it can manage. Depending on how you like your falafal - here the outside is not that crispy. Still a good place though for something quick and easy. They also do some reasonable juices. Although there is parking outside it can sometimes be full at lunchtime during the week. Easy to find though as on the southcoast road before gas station and Barbados Light and Power company when heading out of town.

Excellent Experience with Food and Setting

Well worth a visit to feed both the mind and stomach. Plates are a modest size, have a variety of items and are healthy. The atmosphere is very calming and the price excellent. Very quiet and not the place to be if you are a loud talker! Need to be respectful of the setting.

Filling and Pleasant

The food here is filling and starchy so come with an empty stomach. The portions are large and the service pleasant. Well located in Bridgetown and plenty of seating with television (normally on cricket!). Seamoss and other drinks are available.

Small in size, Big in Atmopshere

Visited several times while living in Cambridge. This is a small joint and there is limited seating. Found the menu limited. The atmosphere and people working there are nice and friendly. Good central location in Harvard and also a music venue next door. When the music is going on some evenings then you may find walkin service a lot slower. Definitely experience at least once while in Cambridge.

Our Favourite and deserves awards

Out of the four places we went in July 2010 this was rated the best and should have awards. It was well managed and very professional. The manager was friendly and welcoming. The food was delicious and there was enough options on the menu. We were very suprised at the price which we thought was good. Would go back again.

Golden Golden Temple

I went to the golden temple in July 2010 for a late lunch with my wife and shared one lunch which consisted of selecting four indian dishes with some bread.

Each dish was quite small with more sauce than vegetables but tasty and enough for a small lunch for two. There are other options if you do not like indian food such as a middle east selection.

The setting was great, heaviuly influenced by sikh/hindu religions. Comfortable if you do not mind sitting on cushions on the floor at a low table.

Would go back again.

The Best of Barbados

Since discovering this place I go there every week for lunch, well, this week it has been everyday. A small place that you would drive straight by unless someone told you about it. Frequented by those in the know and not crowded with tourists. A small set up inside but full of character, wonderful characters and great food. Feel the love! Everyone is very welcoming and the place is very peaceful. Not only is the food for vegeterians but also healthy and this sets it apart from other places in Barbados. The lunch special which is a fresh juice, cooked meal and vegan chocolate cake is a must at only US$10 or BBD20. The portions are a good size and you will not leave disappointed. This small place even has its own Misson Statement! Everyone I have introduced to this place has gone back. I just hope that it does not become too popular and over crowded with time.

12-14 Heddon Street, London, England

My number 1 so far

This place is a great break from the hectic Regent Street noise. Buffet style with a nice selection of very tasty dishes. Some good juices as well. We had a three plates consisting of salad, large plate of hot/cold dishes, plus a tasty desert and juice for around 20 pounds so not a place to eat everyday if on a budget but definitely worth a visit. You pay by the weight of the food though so you decide how much you want to eat and pay.

Good Selection and Tasty

Located in this food store they offer lots of options for the vegetarian and non-vegetarian, both hit and cold plates. Self service and adequate seating. Not somewhere for a romantic meal but good for a quick lunch. Plenty of free parking outside. Most of the food options are healthy and organic.
