Great value and filling

We always try to make it to a Govindas when in a Colombian city. Like others it’s good value for your money. While the plate was rather bland it was filling. The desert was small and sweet. Still the menu of the day for only 10,000 COP is great.

[Walked by about 20 times in February 2023 and was closed each time. Not sure what's happening but might be closed temporary or for good which would be a shame]

Pros: Cheap , Filling

Cons: Rather bland, Is it open or has it closed? (Feb 2023)

Great vegetarian Lebanese / Indian food!

A tiny bit away from the tourist places, we found this gem!
Super cheap food, you get a whole meal, all vegetarian. With dessert!!
Highly recommended, menu changes every day, we went 3 days in a row, not ate same thing once

Pros: Everything is tasting delicious , Super cheap for this city, Nice staff

Cons: Bit far away

Great and cheap food

We really liked this place for its calming atmosphere and the healthy food. They serve a menu for lunch with a soup, a dessert, a juice and a main dish. It all tasted great and the main dish was made out of rice, vegetables, chickpeas and a vegan protein alternative. The whole menu only costed 15.000 pesos, so it is a really good option for a cheap and healthy lunch!

Pros: Good vegan option, Nice atmosphere

Meal of the day!

That's what we ordered and it was lovely, and great value for money. The staff were super nice (standard Govindas!)

Cheap but nothing special

The food was ok, I would go back but at the same time wasn't amazing. There isn't many options in Santa Marta so it's worth a visit if your in the town for a few days. Although don't trust the advertised hours.
They are definitely more custom to serving vegatarian over vegan but if you talk enough you will get a vegan meal.

Pros: Understand Vegan, Cheap

Cons: Small portion, More veggie than vegan

Info 2021 . Friendly

they are open Monday through Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

every day there is a different menu. this consists of a soup, a glass of fruit juice and a plate with mostly vegetables, rice and protein. (meat substitute) the price is 15,000 pesos (summer 2021). you won't get it better here in santa marta for that price. they also sell papa rellena (ball made of mashed potatoes filled with vegetables and protein) for 5,000 pesos. everything is vegetarian. do you want to be sure of a vegan meal? Tell the friendly host, she is a sweetheart. use a translator app to talk to her. (Google Translate)

Pros: Fliendy, Cheap, OK food

Cons: Can be repetitious if you eat there everyday

Life-saver in Santa Marta

Surprised how good it was (with hit-or-miss nature of many Govinda’s worldwide, sometimes lacto.) Got the very tasty, all vegan, real-food menu-del-día. (I write real food cuz other veg eateries we found around town were yucky microwave lunches, what?) Was so filling, big soup, nice creamy salad dressing…mmm!

Dining room is an especially lovely and leafy setting for a peaceful, healthy lunch. (There were many mosquitos after a big rain, so come prepared.) Quinoa-ham was interesting, fulfilling any meaty cravings one might have. Our hostess was warm and friendly, offering travel tips as well. Go-Govinda’s!

Simply Delicious

It's in the juices street and offers a tasty vegetarian/vegan/Indian/Colombian food.
I took the ticket to get discounts on several lunches and I visit almost twice a week.
I love it and recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal at an affordable price.

Good food and mock meats

Tasted the vegan carnitas and it was really good! Portions are sufficient, and it costs 10 000 COP! Adding mock meat costs an extra (2000 to 6000)

Honest, simple, filling, nutritious

I like simple, healthy vegan food. This place was exactly what I wanted. For about $3 USD, I got more food than I could eat, including soup, salad, rice, beans, fried breaded eggplant, unsweetened juice and banana pudding. Service was speedy and friendly. I would definitely go again.

Quirky (or weird!)

We arrived and there was no one in the restaurant. There were a few staff around who seemed surprised to have any customers. We were seated and offered two different choices for food. We didn’t really know but we were ordering. The waiter ran away and then we found him and asked him if we could have a drink. He looked surprised that we wanted a drink and then ran away and then brought us some juice. It was a bit strange because we didn’t have any choice of drink. The food took a little while And when it arrives and there were some strange things on the plate such as a big heap of breadcrumbs which are very salty. He brought us a dessert which was basically a bowl of jam but there was nothing to eat it with such as bread etc. The people seemed nice but it’s not easy to communicate with and very chaotic in their demeanor.

Pros: Nice setting , Exciting: , Cheap

Cons: Chaotic service , Poor communication: No written menu

Great Food, Very Cheap

For 9000cop you get their 4-course menu of the day which includes a simple soup, juice, main course, and dessert.

I went here 3 times during my stay in Santa Marta, the first was quite good, the next two were fabulous. All-vegan and they also have a little store out front that sells vegan breads and brownies. Great place.

Pros: Very Cheap, Good Food

Well made vegan meal

Good vegan restaurants are hard to find in Colombia but this one was great! You will get a proper starter and meal of vegan food. And it also really feels nutricional. Just go there 🤗

Honest meal

Great vegan meal. I enjoyed it a lot. Very friendly people committed to improve the world and protect the environment. The wifi connection was good. I also went to their spiritual center outside of Santa Marta in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to have more vegan food and to do a yoga course.

Pros: Friendly, Protect the environment

Cons: Sundays closed, Bank holidays closed
