simple vegan friendly food - Edit
I took the lunch. It was simple but good and filly (soup, rice with beans, vegetables and a juice.
The staff is super nice and it cheap. Good solution to eat vegan on the lunch. You can eat on the balcony over the street.
Pros: vegan friendly, cheap, staff

No food after lunch during the weekend - Edit
We came here for food on a Saturday around 4pm but they didn't offer any food at the time. Apparently no food after lunch during the weekend. Staff was really friendly though and gave is directions to another veggie place.

Honest vegetarian food - Edit
I have been to Govinda' s twice in December 2014. Price is 8000 pesos for a meal and a glass of drink ( fruit flavoured water ou cold tea). The food was ok, but nothing exceptional . I am used to the Hare Krshna restaurant in Sao Paulo city, Gopala Hari, wich is more than excellent- so I was kind of disappointed- but I cannot say that the food was bad. I can only say that it can improve!
A lot.

It's open again... food was OK - Edit
I ate here twice during the week I was there in mid-January 2014. The first time, the food was very very good. The second time, kind of boring as there was corn soup, and then a plate with sauteed veggies and spaghetti with a flavorless white sauce. I walked by another day and looked at the menu on the chalkboard at street level, and it said hamburger, french fries and salad. I went to the other veggie choice in town instead that day.
The price for the meal of the day is 5.000 pesos as of January 2014. Locals told me they had been closed sporadically, but now are open regularly again lately. The other veggie restaurant in town is only about 3-4 blocks away so you can try them both.
The restaurant is located upstairs, where there is a dining area with picnic tables that overlook the street.
Pros: Price, Location, Nice people working there
Cons: Flavor not consistently good

CLOSED - Edit
Closed down as of May/2012 with no sign of re-opening. Small shop below still selling various natural goods.
Very Nice!! - Edit
This is so funny, I was just browsing vegan places in Colombia and I came across this one! I actually ate here! The restaurant is small but in the city center. They have vegetarian food, with Indian/Meditation music playing.
In the mornings they do yoga, and anyone can come and join! To be honest I was here 1 year ago and I saw a sign hanging they were gonna sell the place, so I'm not sure if it still exists but the food was nice, friendly staff, and the food was cheap. I got a starter (soup) with corn and vegetables, and then the main meal which was a veggie burger, rice, brocolli and carrots. Don't remember how much I payed but it was cheap!
the only bad thing is they dont have a menu, its only the ''daily special'' that you can order.
Pros: friendly staff, good location in the city
Cons: small restaurant, no menu, dirty bathroom
