No pancakes.

Dinner menu was good. A lot of vegan options on the menu but does not mean they had everything on the menu.

Delicious food

Ate here twice during our visit in Santa Marta and really enjoyed the food. Plenty interesting choices, the venue is cute and the service was great.

First time I had the vietnamese spring rolls with a peanut sauce and they were really good, however for some reason they had cut it like sushi and it was very inpractical to eat. Made a huge mess as they kept falling apart. My companion had one of the portobello burgers and really enjoyed it. Treated ourselves to the tiramisu as a dessert and it was amazing.

Next day we came for lunch and had the Beirut and Bombay express sandwiches and they were both super good and packed with flavour! They were pretty loaded so couldn't eat them "like a sandwich" but that was okay. Had the brownie with ice cream for dessert and that was a bit meh, pretty dry and not much flavour but not the worst thing ever. I'd recommend the tiramisu or something else instead.

Pros: Plenty of interesting choices, Meals were packed with flavour, Tiramisu!

Cons: Inpractical plating, Brownie was a bit meh

Favourite spot in Santa Marta

I went several times and tried a few different dishes. Appetizers are very expensive compared to mains and the one I tried with different dips wasn't that tasty.

My favourite was the wrap, the glazed aubergine was good but less filling. Burger was quite nice too.

Tiramisu and blueberry muffins were good as desserts but the pannacotta tastes like coconut oil and nothing else. Certain items, for example the carrot cake, were marked as vegan on the menu but I was then told they were only vegetarian which was a shame.

Pros: Tasty, Many vegan options, Friendly staff

Cons: Marking as vegan even when not, Not everything available, Closes at 20:30

Pricy + inconsistent quality

The restaurant is nicely decorated and they have fans and misters, although it was still pretty hot inside.

I ordered a rainbow salad with falafel which was really tasty and a generous portion. However my partner ordered the cauliflower steak sandwich and it was pretty bad. Sounded good on paper but was poorly executed - the cauliflower “steak” wasn’t a crispy crumbed slab as expected, it was basically half a head of plain cauliflower and came out cold.

Pros: nice atmosphere & service, vegan options clearly labelled, wide variety

Cons: somewhat expensive, cauliflower sandwich not good

The location is in the heart of the city, a very relaxed place with a great range on the menu, the food was all really tasty and well presented, I visited twice!

Agradable

Probé solamente un plato de su carta pero era justo lo que necesitaba hoy: comida limpia, de fusión asiática, lugar con verde, agradable, con ventiladores y personal amable😄

Very good food

During our stay in Santa Marta we visited this place twice. They serve vegetarian and also a lot of vegan dishes. The quality of the food was very good. We liked the place a lot. Only with english to communicate with the waiter we got some misunderstandings. But they place is great.

The place to be in Santa Marta!

One of my favourite coffee/restaurant in South America!

I tried the vegan burger, Beirut city sandwich, vegan tiramisu and vegan brownie with vanilla ice-cream, all of them blew my mind!

For the drinks, I tried the cold latte with coconut milk it was just perfect!

Also the place is very cozy and well decorated, the sofas where you can go and sit or lie down without your shoes are very nice to chill, and the music always contributes nicely to the chill atmosphere.

Pros: Amazing food, Amazing drinks, Cozy and chill vibe

Good choice, fair price

I went here a few times while in Santa Marta. The Thai red curry was good, as was the Beirut sandwich and the smoothies were pretty good. They have a good choice of cakes too. Food didn't blow me away but for the amount of options they have and the quality, it scores highly. Plus, a bunch of the other vegan places aren't open at night

Great to have options, but it could have been much better

I like the variety on the menu at Ikaro. It offers something more than falafels for vegans. However, the food was more misses than hits. The first time we visited, we tried the miso eggplant with rice and sweet potato chips. The chips were undercooked but the eggplant was flavorful (albeit quite oily). The cauliflower steak sandwich was okay.

Given it's the only place with this much variety for vegans in Santa Marta, we came back a second time. We ordered Thai coconut soup and pad Thai. The portions were generous but the flavors were not on point for this cuisine. Still tasty, but not really Thai. I wasn't a fan of the almond milk used to make the matcha latte either. It just wasn't a good tasting matcha.

Ending with a positive note, the desserts are excellent!

Good food

Nice menu. We enjoyed the Thai curry and pad Thai. However when we tried to order vegan ice cream and vegan carrot cake off the menu they said neither of them were vegan (there was a carrot cake in the fridge labelled vegan but they said it contained eggs.

Pros: Food was good, Nice range of beers and drinks

Cons: Expensive, Slow service, Things labelled vegan not vegan, be sure to ask

Don’t recommend

The service is terrible. They obviously don’t care about their jobs. They were out of many of the food items on the menu and it was only midday.
The smoothies and matcha lattes were nice. I would go back just for the drinks. Not the food. The food was bad. The tofu here had zero flavor, no seasonings at all. Specifically the pad Thai was not at all pad thai. It was pretty bad.

Nice tasty pancakes!

We ordered very yummy vegan pancakes with cashew yogurt. It was pretty tasty! The homemade plant milk was not the best. So better order a juice.

Disappointing

Very disappointing. The menu looks great so I had high hopes. I ordered a Frappuccino with chocolate and it was very bitter so I asked if they had a little honey to make it actually taste nice. They had but I have to pay extra for it. The Thai curry should be named differently because the vegetables inside the curry have nothing to do with Thailand. Also they weren’t cut too much just some ridiculously big chunks of cauliflower and regular broccoli. I mean really big. But worst of all the vegetables didn’t taste fresh at all. And the rice that came with it was laughably little. After a couple of bites the rice was finished and a lot of curry sauce was left. I ordered fries on the side and they were very soft and very greasy. My wife ordered the shakshuka and again they should give it a different name. The only resemblance to real shakshuka is that it came with eggs but even this they didn’t do right because they were boiled eggs. The only positive really is that my drink with the honey that I had to pay extra for tasted really nice. But leaving a restaurant still being hungry is unacceptable imo. Btw not the staff’s fault they did their job correctly.

Great!

Many excellent choices, and the closest thing you can find to a French croissant.
It was our go-to place in Santa Marta.
There are spots to relax, work with your laptop. The wifi is good.

Beautiful cafe

This is a really lovely cafe, with beautiful food and a great vibe. The menu is varied, with lots of choice. Many vegetarian dishes can also be made vegan (eg pad Thai - can substitute the egg for tofu).

The service was quick and the food was good. Definitely recommend.

Super delicious and tons of vegan options

We ate a late lunch here today and almost couldn’t decide what to get because there were so many options . We ended up ordering like 5 different things (all vegan). All of them were delicious 🤤. Unfortunately they didn’t have any tofu anymore but that’s the only thing I could criticise really.

Tasty and fresh

We had two smoothies and both the Beirut city sandwich and the vegan ‘steak’ sandwich (which was cauliflower!). All the food was very tasty and they also had a huge selection of vegan cakes/desserts which looked super good! Everything is veggie or vegan, but about 80% vegan - so happy days!

Cons: A little expensive
