This tiny place is take-out ("take away") only so order your lunch and head to St. Peters Square to enjoy it. There are several veg-burgers, veg-pizzas, salads, and soups. I enjoyed the red lentil and vegetable burger, the tofu pizza, and the split pea soup. I was pleased to find plenty of vegan options. The food was filling and delicious and well worth the price!

Pretty and Tasty Sweets!
Cute bakery! Unfortunately, they were out of soft serve, although I really enjoyed the Boston-creme filled cupcake and lemon chiffon cake. All the desserts in the case were beautifully-decorated and I'm sure they tasted as good as they looked. Prices were reasonable as well.

Great for Dinner
Juice is a cute and trendy restaurant half a block from the Temple Bar neighborhood. The menu is large and, although there are many dairy options on the menu, it is still very vegan-friendly. We enjoyed tofu skewers, stir-fry noodles with tofu, and a large salad with marinaded tempeh. For dessert, fruit crumble with a scoop of vegan ice cream. The food was filling and delicious and healthful. Great service and value, too!

Fresh & Healthful Food
This is a tiny haven on a busy road in Miami. The menu features a mix of raw and non-raw vegan food. It seemed like each of our dishes was made fresh to order. I'm pretty sure I heard the whirl of the VitaMix minutes before fresh gaspacho arrived at our table. We also enjoyed seitan tacos and seitan sloppy joes. The owner is so kind and she is growing her own organic veggies and herbs in the back of the restaurant. If you want healthful and tasty food that could not be fresher, this is worth the trip.

Delicious Vegan Options!!
The restaurant is a kosher "meat" restaurant which might make a vegetarian shy away. As a vegan, I was shocked to find so many healthful and delicious vegan options! The chef accommodated my request for a grilled tofu wrap with soy cheese and veggies. The soy cheese does not have casein because, in order to be kosher, there is no dairy whatsoever in the restaurant. The tofu wrap was so delicious - possibly the best wrap I've ever had.
The tostones were amazing and the sweet potato fries and carrot soup were delicious as well!
The wait staff was so accommodating and the service was prompt, thorough, and courteous.
We found the food to be the freshest and most delicious of all of our meals in Miami Beach. When we travel, we usually do not go to the same restaurant twice because we like to experience as many new/different things as possible. We had to make an exception when it came to West Ave Cafe in Miami Beach and ended up going there twice because we enjoyed our meal so much the first time. . .!
(I would give a 5-cow rating but that is apparently not allowed for non-veg restos...)

Filling and Delicious!
Wonderful food served cafeteria-style in this bustling eatery! There were more vegetarian, than vegan, options, but vegans do have plenty of selection. I enjoyed the following vegan foods: schnitzel (very good), brown rice, chickpea salad, sprouts, and basil and pepper scone. They even gave me a vegan 'buttery' spread to accompany the scone, which was out of this world. The fruit-and-oat square for dessert was great, too. I am the type of diner who cleans my plate but even I could not finish the massive proportions one gets for lunch. For 12.50 Euro, this is by-far the most food you will get for your money. In addition to the value, the food is delicious!

Delicious, Healthful Food
My omnivore husband and I loved this place! It had many healthful and delicious options. We loved a tofu curry dish and the Fresh Island Green Salad was huge (enough for 2) and made with this amazingly-flavored, oil-free dressing! It was great to fill up on delicious vegan food without feeling guilty/heavy afterwards. Sure, we love vegan cheese-steaks, but it was really nice to instead eat a light, yet filling meal at Fresh Mint. We would definitely return to this place next time we are in Arizona (or Hawaii, where they apparently originated).

Must Save Room for Dessert
You will have wasted your trip to this eatery if you fill up on savory foods and leave yourself without room for dessert. The Tsoynamis are a MUST! They are insanely delicious and my omnivore husband said they taste no different from a Dairy Queen Blizzard or comparable ice-cold dairy treat. We devoured an incredibly delightful "Newman O's and Mint" Tsoynami (mint oreo + chocolate sauce + vanilla soft serve) and a special creation of ours, which was vanilla soft serve, peanut butter, chocolate sauce, and pretzels. It was amazing. Again, you MUST go here and you MUST save room for dessert...!

Yum, Yum, and Yum!
This is a tiny place that is perfect for take-out .
My non-vegan dining partner and I ordered the Udon Noodle Salad, Jerk Caesar Salad, Classic Veg Burger, and Fajita Wrap.
The Udon Noodle Salad was very, very tasty, although I would ask for dressing on the side next time because I think there was too much on there. The Jerk Caesar was very good - I was surprised at how spicy the chick'n was. The Fajita Wrap was our favorite - great combination of flavors and filling and delicious. The Classic Veg Burger was tasty with the toppings, but honestly looked/tasted like a Boca burger so I'm not sure I would ever order it again, lest it was indeed something I could have bought in the frozen food aisle of the supermarket.
Because our order took a little longer than expected, the girl at the cash register threw in a complimentary bag of chocolate chip cookies which were really delicious. They reminded me of the Pillsbury chocolate chip cookies you can make with those tubes of refrigerated dough; it's been over 15 years since I had one of those and eating these HipCityVeg cookies was a nostalgic, mouth-watering experience.
Definitely a must-try!

Dinner Review - Hits and Misses
I am a fan of MiLah's brunches and lunches. For brunch, I love the lumberjack (now under a different title), where you get an omelet, toast, tempeh bacon, pancake, and home fries. You will need to be rolled out of the restaurant - it is so filling and delicious.
For lunch, I love their flatbreads and sandwiches - especially the Vietnamese Tofu sandwich and the cheezesteak.
For dinner, my partner and I were pleased with the special Hot and Sour Soup although the tofu was softer (silken) compared to the typical Chinese hot and sour soup tofu (which is firm or dried). We also enjoyed the Mango Avocado Salad. The BBQ Tofu Skewer appetizer was okay - there was nothing wrong with it, it was just very simple. Our entrees were fantastic: Traditional Tofu Pad Thai and Yellow Thai Curry Seitan. DEE-licious!!!
Desserts were not good at all - the Warm Chocolate Cake and the Fruit Tart were very bland and disappointing. The vanilla ice cream that topped the desserts was good, but how can you mess that up...?
Overall, definitely give MiLah a try. Don't expect Horizons-quality, but do expect to be filled and satisfied for less money than Horizons. Just skip the dessert and head to Govinda's for a slice of Vegan Treats-made cake!

Inexpensive and Tasty
Every item on the menu is veganizable. The tofu burrito and BLT sandwich were delicious. All the baked goods are vegan - I enjoyed the Cowgirl cookie. This is a very cute cafe with very reasonable prices. Such a gem!

THE GOOD: the service and the dinner food. Service-wise, our waitress was very patient with our large and arguably difficult table. Food-wise, my companions really enjoyed the all-you-can-eat pizza with varying flavors (Thai Pizza, Hummus and Black Bean, Roasted Veggies and Marinara, Curry Veg, Dessert Pizza with Dates/Figs, etc.). I had the Guac-N-Roll and another dining companion had the Nut Burger. These were basically the same dish but the latter doesn't have guacamole. Still, the nut burger patty was great and I loved the seedy roll on which it came. We also enjoyed the Bruschetta appetizer, but didn't really like the Asian Lettuce Wraps (ginger overpowered the dish).
THE MEH: the dessert. In the interest of full disclosure, I hail from Philadelphia, land of the best vegan bakery in the country (Vegan Treats) so I bring a certain high expectation to vegan desserts. We ordered the rum-infused bananas, tiramisu, brownie with ice cream, and chocolate chip cookie madness. All of these were just okay except for the tiramisu which was just not good. It had a strange flavor (soy?) that dominated the custard layer. It was recommended to us by the waitress, but it was really not good.
P.S. Portions are tiny. My nut burger patty was much smaller than the palm of my hand and it came with no side of salad or fries. Of course, these portions reflect what a healthy person who sincerely wants to lose weight would eat; these portions do not reflect what the standard American would expect to eat given the price points.

Best Vegan Food in SLC
I was only in Salt Lake City for 2 days and after the first visit to Vertical Diner, I knew I had to come back the next day. The following items were very delicious: pancake (my all-time favorite), apple-pie stuffed french toast, potato wedges, and tofu scramble. I also ordered the grilled cheese which was a bit too cheesy for my taste, but still very tasty.
If I were in Salt Lake City for longer, I would probably go back every day so I could try more menu items. The menu is huge and the worst part of the whole dining experience is knowing that you cannot possibly order everything and inevitably you will miss out on something delicious.
This place is a must-go. The portions are good, the price is right, and the food is delish!

Win-Win: Very Delicious and Very Healthful
The restaurant is clean, bright, and comfortable. The menu has a great selection of various vegan soups, salads, and sandwiches. The price point is very inexpensive considering the quality of the ingredients and the food. The service was prompt and timely.
Now to the most important part: the food....
My dining companion and I shared a Creamy Cauliflower soup, Baked Falafel Salad, Cheesesteakless With Vge Sandwich, and Vge Burger Sandwich. All were delectable! It's hard to believe that nothing is fried because the baked falafel and vge burger were both moist with wonderful flavors and texture. We really loved all the items we ate. My (meat-eating) companion and I left the restaurant feeling full, satisfied, and thrilled to have found food that is extremely healthful and extremely delicious. We grabbed some cupcakes to-go and look forward to our next trip there!
