All-vegan breakfast, salads, drinks, and sandwiches in an interior courtyard flooded with natural light. Lighter vegan fare for breakfast and lunch such as coffee, juices, smoothies made with three types of plant milks (which are made on site), mixed cold drinks made from fresh ingredients, sweet and savory breakfast items including vegan ceviche, and a selection of salads. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-2:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:30am-2:00pm. Closed Sun.

Disappointing & Expense - Edit
The juice was good, but a small portion for the price. The waffle was okay & the toppings weren't very good together (pear, sprinkles, cranberries & chocolate sauce). I wish they had better savory options than just sandwiches.

Was ok but overpriced - Edit
Went for my last breakfast in Oaxaca. Had guacamole toast. Thought it was quite expensive for the portion size and what you get. I also had a juice that was really nice but nothing super special for the price. Nice to support a vegan business but wasn’t great value for money. Maybe the waffles would’ve been a better choice but I’m trying to be healthy!

We enjoyed the smoothies and waffles - Edit
It seems Citronella is working hard to please. We’re glad we chose to give it a try for breakfast, as the smoothies were fresh and delicious and the waffles were quite satisfying (though next time we would order them without the chocolate sprinkles, as we prefer unprocessed ingredients for health reasons).

Overpriced and just okay - Edit
We wanted this place to be amazing but it fell short. The drinks were bland, dishes small, overpriced, and nothing to write home about. Basically avocado toast and tasteless smoothies. Also does not take credit cards and seating outside is uncomfortable. Sorry.😒

Bland flavor but all vegan - Edit
This small cafe sits in a quaint courtyard and has a very sizable juice and smoothie menu and some food. The menus are in Spanish only which gave me the opportunity to practice my Spanish (still a beginner). I ordered the ceviche Vegana and although I enjoyed the crunch of the green apple and jicama, the sauce was barely noticeable. I also tried their avocado toast and I found it dry and a bit bland. However, it was clear that a lot of care was taken to make each dish and the staff was fantastic.

I ordered the club sandwich which turned out to be cheese, lettuce and tomato in shop bought bread with about 4 slices of apple on the side. Over priced and not fitting the description on the menu. Would not recommend or return. If I could give less stars I would.

Ordered the sandwich de queso and guacamole to take away, as well as a smoothie. The sandwich was a bit odd - tasted oddly sweet for a cheese sandwich and the side salad was wilted greens with a bit of brown apple. The guacamole was better, but was overseasoned and tasted strongly of sesame oil and very processed. The smoothie (number 5 I think?) was arguably the best, but just because it was OK to drink, didn't impress me at all. Took 20mins!! While there was no one else there. Wont be going back.

I had the fruit "bowl", which was a little bit of fruit on a plate with maybe 2 spoons full of yogurt. Definitely not a bowl and not filling at all. If you cone here, do yourself a favor and order something different.

I didn't actually eat in here (I just took a sandwich to go) and to be honest it didn't have a particularly good ambience as a place to sit in and dine. The club sandwich was okay, nothing special. The service was friendly.

The food was really great and we went back three times! Good breakfast and lunch options. A variety of flavors, and everything felt so good inside my stomach (fresh but not bland). But even more than that, The owners were incredibly kind: they gave us a lovely to go tote bag since we had so many leftovers (because we ordered too much because it was all so good) and an extra glass bottle of a chili oil because we clearly liked it a lot at our table (at no extra cost).

Lovely new all-vegan restaurant for breakfast and light lunches! - Edit
I came across this new all-vegan breakfast restaurant while out walking and had to try it. It is located in an interior which is simply decorated but filled with lovely infused natural light from a translucent arched cover.
Read moreMy first dish was waffles with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, and chocolate sauce. I was kind of expecting a vegan rendition of a typical oily Belgian waffle but was pleasantly surprised to receive a non-oily waffle made from flour freshly found on site. Once I adjusted to the somewhat drier consistency I enjoyed every bite and felt very satisfied and not hungry anymore at the end!
The restaurant is focused on the freshest ingredients and it really showed. I plan to return often on my extended stay in Oaxaca.
