Delicious Vegan Eats but Limited Options - Edit
Spanglish Review:
I would recommend to other visitors and locals alike! Their bread is their speciality!
Pros: Vegan/Plant-Based Options Available, Knowledgeable and kind personnel, Delicious Vegan Ciabatta Sandwich
Cons: Not Fully Vegan/Plant-Based, Very Limited Default Vegan Options, Bread Does Not Have a Lot of Vegan Options

Went there for breakfast and the only real vegan dish was the bahn mi sandwich, which I ordered as well as a kale sautée side and a moka with almond milk. Moka was not great bit the sandwich was really tasty ^^ i would like to have more vegan options but it is was ok for me. No vegan pastries…

The Hype is Real - Edit
This is the only place in town with a constant wait list! It’s been recommended multiple times and y’all won’t stop about the banh mi! I finally squeezed in and it was divine. I don’t even like mushrooms, but this was off the charts the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I also got the water of the day: pineapple guava. Delicious! I walked next door to their bakery for a loaf of bread to take home. Def understand the hype!

It is THAT good - Edit
In a wonderful courtyard next to the namesake bakery. Believe the other reviews when they say the banh mi is one of the best ever, because it is. Period. First, the baguette is one of the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Crispy, chewy, delicious. One of those sandwiches that gets better as you go because it soaks up the ingredients in it, and gets wonderfully soft. We also had the English muffin egg sandwich, and it was fantastic as well for non-vegans. Entire menu is great. Highly recommended.

Really, really delicious - Edit
Update: went twice, tried both sandwiches - Bahn mi is far superiors to vegetariana.
Read moreAfter a quick glance at pictures on here, I don’t know why but I didn’t expect it to be as good as it was. Like the previous reviewer, I ordered the Bahn Mi sandwich because reviews suggest it’s the best (clarify you’re vegan) - it is soooooooooo delicious. It was like a flavour journey. They’ve put so much thought into this sandwich.
When we arrived we had to wait in a queue (seated) but it went down super fast so don’t be put off by the line. We waited like 6 mins. And food came out super fast despite the “slow food” wording at the top of the menu.

Not a lot of options, but good Banh mi - Edit
About 3 vegan options on the menu, but after checking happy cow it seemed like banh Mi was the way to go. It’s not naturally vegan, but just tell them your dietary restrictions and they’ll adjust it. Really enjoyed my food, for a good price. This place is definitely popular for a reason!

Very very good food! - Edit
Went two times there and ordered the same thing! Bahne Mi is so so so good, worth trying it! Nice atmosphere and tasty food, but they don’t have a lot of vegan options.
Read moreBut, be ready for a big line. First we went there around 11 in the morning and we have to wait for at least half an hour. The second time we were there at 8:30 when they open the restaurant and it was already a line and we have to wait at least 15 min to get a table. Thats the only bad thing there.
Pros: Very tasty
Cons: You have to wait in a line

Great food and lovely atmosphere - Edit
I actually ate here twice during my stay in Oaxaca. The vegan options are good, price good and the ambiance is lovely and cosy feeling. The Bahn-mi is delicious- and that's coming from someone that doesn't like mushrooms! Highly recommend. Would be a great place to bring meat eaters as there is plenty of choice.

Few options but very good! - Edit
I went for breakfast had the vegetarian sandwich made vegan twice and it was delicious. Had an almond milk hot chocolate & almond milk latte, both good too. Not many options but honestly the sandwich was SO GOOD which is why I went back. $150 for sandwich & coffee. Good wifi.
Read moreVery busy… both times I arrived at 8.30-8.45 (they open at 8.30) and the place was basically full. When I left there was queues outside waiting so prepare to wait. Also because of this it felt quite rushed pressured to leave immediately rather than enjoying the place which is a shame because it’s such a nice place. This might be different at a different time of day!
Pros: Delicious sandwich
Cons: Not many options, Very busy

Great spot!!! Loved it. - Edit
Sat at the bar as I was by myself, so glad I did. There was a line up when I got there at 10 am, about 25 minutes. The bar service was great and met two fellow travelers, we had great conversations and I even got some great tips for things to do that I had no idea about.
Read moreI had the Bahn mi sandwich, perfect portion size, amazing bread, wonderful flavor, completely vegan as is. Express was great, sadly no vegan milk, great agua de Jamaica. Good value. The one guy had the hot cakes and let me try them. They were good but too sweet for me but he loved them.
Pros: Fresh, delicious food, filling portions , Enough options, Great service and value

Not many vegan options - Edit
I had the vegetarian sandwich. It was great. But unfortunately it is one of the only vegan options on the menu. Some other items can be made vegan upon request, but options are limited (especially if your Spanish isn’t great). The atmosphere is really nice and I loved the seating area. This place can get busy so plan ahead. This restaurant has great potential, but needs to revamp its menu to add more vegan choices.

I had a big salad and a bahn mi. Both were excellent. Each cost $100 pesos. This is a great option if all the vegan restaurants are closed.

Bahn mi isn’t vegan - Edit
We came here wanting the bahn mi and were told it cannot be made vegan. Our server said the mushrooms are cooked in butter and the chipotle harissa isn’t vegan. We ordered the vegetarian sandwich which on the menu states it can be made vegan whereas the bahn mi doesn’t. The vegetarian was delicious! We came in about 40 min before close so perhaps that’s why they couldn’t do a vegan bahn mi

Pretty place - Edit
This place was across the street from our hotel and what a nice find. Doesn’t have a ton of vegan options but what they do have it pretty good. Got the banh mi mushroom sandwich (vegan) was a side of fries. Since we have been eating Mexican for a week it was nice for a change up. It wasn’t my favorite meal in Oaxaca but it was good and I was thankful for an option that was just a few steps out of our door.
