All-vegan breakfast, salads, drinks, and sandwiches in an interior courtyard flooded with natural light. Lighter vegan fare for breakfast and lunch such as coffee, juices, smoothies made with three types of plant milks (which are made on site), mixed cold drinks made from fresh ingredients, sweet and savory breakfast items including vegan ceviche, and a selection of salads. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-2:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:30am-2:00pm. Closed Sun.

Tried the waffles, mix piña juice and pastor torta. The juice had large chunks of pineapple fibers in it, making it a bit hard to drink. Service took quite a while but they were friendly.

At Citronella everything was amazing: the service was incredibly friendly (thank you Carlita and Carlos for making me feel so welcome!) and the food was simply delicious. I tried memelas for the first time – perfectly seasoned, with such an intense flavor and very different from what you usually find in vegan food. Highly recommended 👏

I tried the memelitas de milanesa, and I also tried the chocolate waffles and banana smoothie. Everything was very yummy and fresh. The owner and servers were very nice and helpful. 100% would return next time I am in Oaxaca. Muchísimas gracias Citronella! 🩷

We had breakfast at Citronella and it was the best food we have eaten in Mexico so far. The owner was very lovely and let us try different things. He is very passionate about the local cuisine and everything is homemade.

We ordered the chilaquiles with soy meat and the pozoles. Both delicious. I’d been having vegan chilaquiles for a week almost every day and the ones at citronella were the best ones. The owner was cool and super nice. He gave us soy tacos to try which were very tasty. He also gave us a ton of tips for places to visit in Oaxaca. The space was beautiful and the prices were good. Very nice experience!

It's a cozy little cafe and the prices are pretty good although the portions rather small. They have many vegan alternatives to classic Mexican meat dishes such as al pastor and others.
