All-vegan breakfast, salads, drinks, and sandwiches in an interior courtyard flooded with natural light. Lighter vegan fare for breakfast and lunch such as coffee, juices, smoothies made with three types of plant milks (which are made on site), mixed cold drinks made from fresh ingredients, sweet and savory breakfast items including vegan ceviche, and a selection of salads. Open Mon-Fri 8:00am-2:00pm, Sat-Sun 8:30am-2:00pm. Closed Sun.

Lovely staff, courtyard & pozole! - Edit
The courtyard has a nice atmosphere, the manager was very friendly, and appreciated that the restaurant is 100% vegan. They also gave us a complimentary starter of two tasty tacos which was kind of them! Location is great, not far from the Zocalo.
Read moreThe tortas seemed to have basically doubled in price since the 1-year-old menu I saw on Google Maps and prices were a bit higher than other places we tried.
Despite it being a 30° day in Oaxaca I decided to try the pozole, a hearty local soup dish I hadn’t encountered in a vegan version before. And it was completely worth the soup sweats, it was delicioussss.
My partner had the “La Citro” torta which is all three of their “meats” in one sandwich and he seemed disappointed and said it didn’t have as much flavour or texture as he expected. We finished with two flavours of gelato for dessert (passion fruit & coffee) and they were very good, especially the passion fruit.

Best vegan memelitas out there! - Edit
If you are looking for local vegan food, this is the place. The memelitas are a must! The corn dough was soft and crunchy, heated in a clay comal. The soy is VERY WELL seasoned. It is just perfection and the portions are generous. They even so kindly, gifted us two of their staple tacos so that we can try them! (they were amazing too)
Read moreMy girlfriend is Raw Vegan and they made her a beautiful fruit bowl with no hesitation, you know when you go into a place with several diet restrictions? People can be quite mean, In here they were very understanding and helpful.
We ordered like three green juices lol they were so sweet, definitely a good pineapple was chosen. I wanted to try all of the menu, I will definitely go back to Oaxaca and this will be my number 1 spot.

We came here for breakfast and got chatting for a while with Carlos who we assume was the owner. He was so passionate about his food and about Oaxaca, and gave us loads of recommendations for the day of exploring. He helped us decide what to order and even gave us some tacos on the house to try! Lovely chocolate smoothie as well, we’ll be returning!

Tried the waffles, mix piña juice and pastor torta. The juice had large chunks of pineapple fibers in it, making it a bit hard to drink. Service took quite a while but they were friendly.

At Citronella everything was amazing: the service was incredibly friendly (thank you Carlita and Carlos for making me feel so welcome!) and the food was simply delicious. I tried memelas for the first time – perfectly seasoned, with such an intense flavor and very different from what you usually find in vegan food. Highly recommended 👏
