You will want to pay few visits until you have tried each of the tacos and be able to pick your favorite ! Creative, fresh products, friendly service. Their homemade guacamole is amazing !

We ate at this restaurant four times within a week. It was fantastic! The chef made inventive tacos. Many had mushrooms and peppers. Some were very hot, so if you are sensitive to heat, ask the staff for advice. The space is small (eight seats) and with counters instead of tables.

This tops my list of favourite meals in Oaxaca (maybe even MX in general). I’m not a huge mushroom fan, but I would eat the oyster tacos all day every day. It’s a cash only hole in the wall with just 2 tables, but so worth the trip. The relleno taco was amazing as well as the potato one. All were so good!

Read moreI had the Campechano and the Chilli Relleno, both of which were sensational. Beware, the red chilli sauce which packs a punch. I loved it, but be warned, it is a burner...
Congratulations to the two guys who work like Trojans to produce the fantastic food and tip them well because they deserve it.
It only seats eight diners, so you may have to wait but it will be worth it, trust me.

Small place with only 8 seats. We tried about 6-8 tacos and they were all amazing. Great taste and some great ideas for vegan tacos!
Read moreWe did the workshop the next day. You get to watch the chef make and cook the tacos while he describes them to you. So it’s not hand-ons. You of course get to taste 6 tacos in the end! Then he sends you the recipes. It was 3

Todos fueron sabrosos, mi favorito fue tacos de la milpa. La segunda vez, yo fui con mi amiga y probé tacos de Chile relleno y alambre. Me gustó mucho el taco de chile relleno. Nosotras también comimos los dos postres una tarta de fruta con crema y la otra de chocolate y nueces. La tarta de chocolate fue tannnn rico. Honestamente, toda la comida en herbívora es increíble y los trabajadores son INCREÍBLES (el chef recomendó un bar para nosotras y fue bueno también). ¡Ven a Herbívora!
English: I went here twice during my visit to Oaxaca, I tried 5 types of tacos: de la milpa, placero, milanesa, chille relleno, and alambre. My favorite was tacos de la milpa hands down. The staff is incredibly friendly, and gave me great recommendations. But please try and order in Spanish, even if you have to use google translate to help you. I respect the staff, they are lovely people, don't subject them to your linguistic supremacy and yes this is coming from a gringa.
