Favourite restaurant in Chiang Mai!

I love it here!! The food is great, everything is vegan. I lost count how many times I went here. I went to quite a lot of vegan places in Chiang Mai and this was my favourite that I always went back to. I particularly loved the Pad se ew and the brownie - which was massive! The service was always really friendly as well.

Pros: Vegan, Good food, Good service

Tons of options but quality is low

It’s nice to have a giant menu full of vegan options but the food was a bit bland, not fresh - like they reheated an old meal. The fruit juices & smoothies were good.

Pros: Lots of vegan options , Cheap prices , Convenient location

Cons: Bland food, Food was cold and not fresh

I give it a solid meh

This place rather shoponifies (yeah that's probably not a word) the idea of tourist Thai food. It's a little too sweet, not spicy and just all around meh.

It does have a big menu though, and the staff is real nice, but if you are looking specifically for Thai food you should check elsewhere.

Pros: Big menu, Nice people

Cons: A little expensive, Doesn't taste like Thai food

Just amazing

You take a seat and see inspiring quotes from famous vegans (including our personal favorite, Steve-O). You’re handed a menu, which proudly proclaims that this restaurant is 100% vegan!

Not only is the food vegan, but it’s incredibly delicious. We ordered the BLT with cheese. In my former life, I was a big fan of BLTs. Would this measure up?, I wondered.

Turns out I needn’t have worried. Not only did the tempeh bacon and vegan cheese taste incredibly similar to the real thing, but it wasn’t greasy at all. Unlike the BLTs I used to eat, I didn’t feel sluggish or weighed down after eating it.

But we weren’t done yet. Reviewers on Happy Cow raved about the brownie, so we had to try it. It was every bit as good as the reviews said. Warm, moist, chocolaty, amazing 😭

Add warm and friendly service to the fantastic food and you’ve got yourself a restaurant that’s perfect, as far as I’m concerned. Heaven is a place on earth.

Pros: Huge, all-vegan menu , Fantastic food, Friendly service

the 90s boyband music is enough to never want to come back

Update: seriously bring head phones. after 6 months from my first experience nothing has changed. The pad thai was dry, had no sour element, lime and a unwashed tofu flavour. The springs rolls are good, but seriously, ming kwan, v secret and feuang vegetarian are miles ahead. The mock meats are just bad. 6 months ago review:Pros: 100% vegan, large menu.
Cons: bad service, recipes need work especially the thai food and mock meats.
This place is convienient as its 100% vegan, however the food lacks flavour and for thai food is a let down. The service is slow and they miss things you order and have to ask repeatedly for our food or condiments. The owners need to be more involved with the customer service side of the business as there is language barriers with the staff and the owner doesnt speak thai.

Very lovely staff members, great food as it was exactly as ordered and lots of choice. As a non vegan I was amazed by the choice and the taste of the food!

I ordered the pad thai and got noodles with ketchup. Left it on the plate, was like the favourite meal of my 3 year old

Best Vegan Resto in Town

Love this restaurant. They have two vegan locations, and 1 vegan/vegetarian location. They have both western and thai food. Although I much prefer the thai food since I did come to Thailand for that. I tried so many things on their menu and all was good. Banana blossum salad, pad see ew, massaman curry, pumpkin curry, pumpkin stir fry, khao soi, ice cream. All delicious.

Pros: Delicious, big variety, good portions

Cons: more expensive, but reasonable

So many options it's hard to chose!

Many many Thai dishes, photos on menu, it all looks delicious! I had the Panang and was super happy. Just the mango smoothie could have a higher ratio of mango to ice.

The name says it all..

Ate here many times. decent starters and nice curries! If you need your comfort food fix then i recommend :). Burgers are quite large and tasty. The hot dog is lacking toppings but went back for another a week later! I will say, their Brownie in not a Brownie but rather a piece of chocolate cake..
I went hungover once and had the pad thai with extra chilli and a side of veg mayo..Naughty and delish!

Pros: all vegan, clean

Vegan chicken burger and brownie

Best vegan burger I've ever had - the vegan fried chicken burger. And the brownie with ice cream is delicious too!

Lots of choice

Ate here twice, as it was near our hostel. Everything we had was good and lots of selection - hotdog, duck curry (definitely recommend this), spicy stir fry, Khao Soi, and brownie with coconut ice cream (treat yo self!). The service was friendly.

Decent

This restaurant has decent food, but definitely not the best in Chiang Mai. My biggest complaint is that I wish they had more healthy options.

The best place to be in Chiang Mai.

I had once more the possibility to spend many weeks in Chiang Mai. And as a vegetarian "Taste from Heaven" was in the past years and will hopefully be in the future "My favorite place to spend time with great Food and great and very friendly stuff and a great Nan (Owner of the Restaurant). I always felt very welcome and as I mentioned as someone with 30 years experience as a vegetarian you will love this place even if you are not a vegetarian or a vegan Person.

Pros: excellent food, great stuff and great Owner, reasonable prices for that what you get.

Cons: Chairs are a little bit uncomfortable , Nothing more

Dissapointing

The waiters were friendly but the food was not worth it.
I had a soup tasting like water for 70 bath . My friend had the chicken burger which was made without any love. Bread , two vegan chicken stripes one little piece of lettuce and a minimal amount of mayo.
I wouldnt recommend this :/

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: expensive

All vegan but a bit sterile

This restaurant has two branches by the founder behind Taste From Heaven. The three basically have identical menus, except that the Vegan Heaven ones obviously only serves the vegan alternatives. The prices are decent, and I did enjoy the mock-chicken wrap.

What brings this place down is the interiors. Painted in fluorescent orange and green with veg-prone celebrity quotes adorning the walls it all feels a bit sterile... Along with the music that is far too "hip" (a crash course on how to feel old: use the word hip!) for a pleasant dining experience. (Except perhaps when they have Westlife blasting out of the speakers! #90sgirl)

I would also avoid the Khao Soi; the broth tastes alright but unless soggy mushroom balls are your jam - go elsewhere or try to opt for another filling.

Pros: 100% vegan

Cons: interiors sterile
