We were in St Luis for our annual Halloween convention. So when I looked up Vegan restaurants near by on my happy cow app I was super excited to see Terror Tacos pop up! My husband and I own Reign of Terror in Thousand oaks Ca. So I thought, ”it’s kismet!” What could be better, heavy metal,, horror movie themed and vegan Mexican food!?!?!!??!? Could this place really exist?!?!?? I am happy to report that yes, indeed it does!!!! 6 of us went on a Friday night and had the BEST dinner and delicious cocktails!!! Oh, and I need to mention, only 2 out of the 6 of us are vegan! When we got there at 6:54 ish it was packed. The wait time was about 30 minutes…… we ordered drinks, margaritas and beers…..and in about 12 minutes a table opened up for us and we were seated!!! It was such a cool table too, it was up in a little nook right in the front window. Our food came pretty quickly and all the staff that we interacted with were super friendly, attentive and helpful! I had the crunchy wrap, my husband had a burrito, our friends had tacos, loaded nachos and burritos. It was AMAZING!!! Being vegan myself I was in Total heaven!!! Every bite was delicious! Our friends who eat a traditional diet could NOT BELIEVE how good it was!!! In fact we all agreed at the end of the trip that was the best meal we had all weekend!!! So, to summarize, if you find yourself near downtown St Luis at all GO TO TERROR TACOS, it’s amazing and you can’t chi wrong on anything you order!!!!! Oh ya, I also need to mention that us was the the most inexpensive meal we had the entire trip too!!!! We❤️🔥 Terror Tacos!!!

I love that they have so many vegan options. I had the fright of tacos which comes with 5 of their tacos 3 of the tacos was great and the other two was just ok but that's my taste buds it may be different for you I can't wait to try more options.

This taco place has the most delicious food. We tried a birria burrito, a carne asada taco and the nachos. Everything was wonderful. Service was quick. The decorations are a lot of fun.

Had the barrias tacos and they were amazing. The best seitan I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. The cabbage was also perfect. The consume was a bit too spicy for me. I was breathing up fire for next 5 hours afterwards. I loved the metal atmosphere in the joint.

A great experience with really helpful and friendly staff. I love vegan Mexican food and this is some of the best I’ve had. The Birria burrito (smothered) was Very flavorful and spicy. I like spicy. In fact it’s the first time I did not ask for hot sauce to add to the spice but it didn’t take away from the flavor. The tacos seem pricey but they are very big and so worth it. If you are undecided, get the “fright” of tacos (taco flight). The place was crowded but we didn’t wait long to sit, and the food came quickly and was fresh and delicious. Definitely on the list to go back to.

We had the opportunity to eat at this FANTASTIC taco place in St Louis yesterday. They had the absolute best smothered burritos! And it was vegan! I would highly recommend it to anyone. This was a great find. Heavy metal/horror movie themed, locally owned small business with the absolute best food! If it were closer to where we live I would be eating here all the time. Right now I am trying to convince myself I don't need to make the 8 hour drive just for a burrito. I want to try the rest of their menu. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Oh and the horchata was excellent too!.

We've only been twice so far, both pick up orders. Both times we were impressed with how friendly/helpful/attentive the staff was- in just the few minutes it takes to pick up! Love the theme, almost a shame they don't have a bigger space to really go nuts!
Read moreNow the most important thing: the food! First time we ordered the Carnage Asada Burrito, birria tacos, and the fright flight. I was thinking they would be smaller tacos, not so! Portions were plentiful and it was so good. There are so many taco places in St. Louis and I'm always trying to check the menus for vegan options... Not so much. It's been a bummer! But no more! I've seen nothing but good reviews and I can only add my voice to the chorus.
Oh! Second time we got the quesadilla (huge! More a knife and fork situation), another Carnage Asada Burrito (as the title suggests, I was jealous of the enthusiasm shown for this burrito) and the BBQ tacos. All delicious again. Great place, so glad they're in the neighborhood!

Wow! All vegan Mex in STL?! Times really are a’changing...for the better! I was blown away by how flavorful everything was. I got the fright of tacos, which includes 5 of their delicious tacos: the carne asada, tofu terror, buffalofu, double diablo, and green chili-lupa tacos. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu!

All the dishes here are delicious. Full of veggies, spices, and black beans, most items are different arrangements and accents of the same core ingredients, but they each have their own distinguishing features. Everything on the menu is worth trying. And their seitan is amazing.

I'm so excited Terror Tacos has opened. The place is 100% vegan, serving a couple types of tacos, quesadilla, burrito, nachos, posole, etc. Proteins on the menu include seitan, tofu, beans, veggie crumbles and toppings include vegan sour cream, queso, etc. We splurged and shared several things, the Birria seitan tacos, Terror Tacos duo with cilantro lime tofu, and the quesadilla. It was all delicious. It's a little expensive, but that won't stop me from going back again and again.
Read moreFor now they are just doing online order and carryout. The space inside is pretty small for once they start doing dine-in. It would be cool if they started offering margaritas once you can eat inside :)
