We had a quick meal here which included a banh mi and the dumpling soup. The banh mi was good and the soup was fantastic.

nice place good food not Vietnamese cheap

Good place, nice food. You can do cooking lessons here. We just eat from the menu. It is not the cheapest but ok price. We had a really good salad, and the dumping soup was okay. Nice and friendly people and there selling beer.

you must go here!

Fabulous food from an extensive menu, reasonable prices too. The owner speaks perfect English and is very friendly. She was watching the weather forecast so translated it for us (we're cycling so weather-obsessed!)

AMAZING

This food is some of the best I've had while traveling Vietnam. We loved the dumpling soup, Viennese pancakes, and Bah Mi.

Great veg options

Stumbled upon this place and was glad I did. The dumpling soup was fantastic, the local specialty cao lau was great and cheap wine by the glass. The fried cao lau was too oily for my liking. The vegetarian mock meat (faux chicken?) was interesting - covered in sesame seeds and really tasty. The owners are lovely. Great place to relax.

It was OK

We eat the fresh springrolls (39k), the bananaflower salad (40k) and the fried cau lau (40k). We liked the springrolls and the salad. The cau lau was to oily. The lady was very kind and spoke English very well.

Pros: nice fresh springrolls

Cons: too oily cau lau and not that cheap

Vegan versions of local specialities

We came here to try the local specialities Cao Lau and My Quanh and they were really tasty and delicious! We also had a stuffed bun (like the Chinese Baozi) which was filled with veggies and mushroom. If you eat here, you'll have many vegan options including tofu and mock meat. I think, there was even a rice paper bacon. At the end we got some free food. The owner is very kind.

They seem to serve yoghurt, milk and egg (egg-coffee) so they're not vegan. The food seems vegan though. You can try coconut ice cream coffee. They also offer vegan cooking classes.

Pros: local specialities , free wifi

Cons: serves dairy/egg with coffee

Great food and service

Has a very expansive menu. The lady who owns the shop has good English and was very helpful in making selections with my Omni friends. I had the Pho and my partner had the tofu in tomato sauce. Both were excellent! Would recommend!

Delicious organic food + the best service in the world

I'm so glad I discovered this place at the start of my trip because I ate here every single day. The food is incredible and it's honestly the best experience with the most friendly service I've experienced.

There is a varied menu of both western and Vietnamese dishes which are all extremely well priced. I tried most of them and they were all delicious and FRESH!

Definitely try the sushi and Vietnamese pancakes! There is a huge list of tasty fresh fruit juices, smoothies and you can even grab a beer too.

Linh, the owner has been vegan since birth and has been running her restaurant for 29 years. She grows all her own ingredients organically in her garden - you can't get fresher than that! It's obvious she is passionate about veganism and cooking - you can taste it in all of her dishes.

Linh is also the nicest person in the world. She made me feel so welcome every time I visited. On my last morning in Vietnam she sat down and ate breakfast with me, then when I was leaving she gave me a packed lunch to take with me incase I couldn't get vegan food at the airport!

Absolutely the best food and experience I’ve had in Vietnam and honestly, the best, most heart-warming service I’ve seen anywhere in the world.

Pros: Delicious, homegrown organic food, Friendliest owner in the world , Excellent prices

Great food, friendly owner

This is my favorite vegan place in Hoi An so far. Food is great, prices are cheap, the restaurant is very clean and cozy and the owner is amazing. She's fluent in english and keen to share recipes with you during her vegan cooking classes. I also appreciate that they use the word 'vegan' on their menu and signs. I'll be back for dinner, that's for sure 😁

Pros: Food quality , Prices, Location

The food was a great portion, delicious, and cheap! We went here on our last day but regretted not coming earlier. There are so many options and ALL vegan! The woman that owns the place is also one of the nicest women you will meet in all Vietnam!!

Amazing vegan restaurant in Hoi An

This restaurant was by far our favourite in the whole of Hoi An. We stumbled across it while walking around and were curious when we saw a sign for a vegan cooking course. After chatting to the owner we found out that everything is vegan (she has been vegan for 26years!) She has her own garden where she grows the veg for the restaurant herself and everything is 100% organic. After speaking to the owner, Linh, we could see that she is really passionate about healthy wholesome vegan food.
The food didn't disappoint! She does a lot of Vietnamese classic dishes in a vegan version and we loved everything. Make sure you try the fresh turmeric and ginger tea too.
Linh was very kind and often gave us a plate of fresh fruit after lunch and sent us away with a gift of coffee beans at the end of our trip.
If we're back in Hoi an we'll definitely visit again (and hopefully do the cooking course too!)
Don't be put off by the simple appearance of this restaurant, it's a true gem in what is otherwise quite a touristy town.

Pros: 100% organic, 100% vegan, Family run and authentic

100% agreed! Linh is the sweetest woman! The food was also amazing, better than I expected. They have so many options from western to Vietnamese food. It will not disappoint. Also, I second getting something with tumeric in it! It is delicious and I am usually not a fan!

visited twice in 24 hours!

Great location on the end of the historical town. Friendly owner with great English. Well priced menu - had the pho and bang mi (filled baguette roll). Owner also runs cooking classes. also run restaurant next door so is a good compromise if travelling with non-veg people.

Pros: friendly, good English, great location

Give yourself a treat

I waa in Hoi An for one day and visited Nhat Da twice.

This owner and her family are at the restaurant which give it a "home" feeling.

The food, of course, is great too.

Simple presentation with amazing taste.

I recommend the Báhn xèo the most.

The owner is happy to share a conversation with you and teach you how to cook Vietnamese food.

Pros: Amazing and affordable food. , "Home" atmosphere , Friendly owner

Fantastic

We absolutely loved eating here during our stay in Hoi An. Linh is very friendly with good English and is happy to help with any questions about the food. We particularly enjoyed the spring rolls, mock meat and also the fried wontons were amazing. Lunch time is a good option for Banh Mi filled with huge tofu pieces and some delicious home made chilli sauce.

Pros: Friendly service and authentic

Cons: None

Vegan food by the ancient town

The front of Nhat Da was closed but, as previous reviews have said, the place next door was open and offered us a vegetarian menu. They also checked whether we were vegan or vegetarian before they cooked our food.
We'd have liked to try the buffet but the menu had a lot of choice.
We tried fried rice, mock meat, papaya salad and tofu with tomato sauce. All good and a good price too.
Just a few minutes away from the hussle of the main ancient town streets.
Friendly service.

Pros: Vegan menu.

Cons: Shame buffet was closed., Cafe next door does serve meat too.

Basic but cheap

Very basic, not very inspiring food in the style of Vietnamese rice with mixed veg and tofus. However, it's a budget option in an otherwise expensive town.

Pros: cheap

Cons: not very original, restaurant lacks ambience

Tasty vegan food, average service

After reading all the amazing reviews I was a bit disappointed that the service wasn't as good as other people have said. The older lady in there was grumpy and didn't smile. To be fair she didn't speak English so maybe she was nervous, but at least a smile would have been good.

The food when it came was actually very tasty so that bumped up my review to 4 stars! The spring rolls were actually delicious, and the Tofu in tomato sauce nice enough.

I would still recommend this place to all vegans and vegetarians. The service is very fast and food is cheap.

Pros: Fast service, Cheap, Tasty

Cons: Moody lady that served me

It was nice

Nothing to special but nice. Arrived after lunch so maybe the experience would have been better if we got there for the buffet. Tried the baos, tofu and beans. All was ok but lacked somewhat in taste.

Pros: Lots of options. Had baos.

Cons: Not so tasteful
