Hit and miss but go for the roast - Edit
First visit: Visited on a Sunday where they have reduced number of small plates with focus on their roasts and brunches. We had two roast dinners with the seitan loaf & with the nut roast. All veg beautifully cooked & seasoned. The seitan was very meaty. The nut roast had a lovely flavour. Also had a mulled wine & non-alcoholic mulled drink too. All very filling and good value. The servers were very friendly and welcoming. 5 stars
Read moreSecond visit: went on a Saturday and ordered some small plates/starters. They were overpriced for the size and quality. The best one was the mushroom calamari starter. Service not that good- not that friendly, spilled drink and didn’t clean it up. 3 stars

Wonderful fully vegan restaurant! - Edit
We were in Norwich for one night only (28/7/22). We wandered down to Tipsy Vegan in the afternoon to peruse the menu and booked a table for two for the evening as it looked really welcoming. The staff members were enthusiastic and confident about their food and service and they were not wrong. We chose five small dishes which was more than enough for both of us. They were all top quality and delicious. Can't remember exactly what they were called but there was a sushi type dish with tofu, a wonderful noodle salad, some excellent calamari style fritters with samphire and a b*con and leek thingy with some mustard sauce which was fantastic. Our servers, Emily and Taylor were attentive and friendly and made us feel really welcome and valued. We are staying in Norfolk again soon with our two dogs and we were assured they would be welcome. Totally recommend The Tipsy Vegan - can't wait til our next visit.

The OG place for Vegan junk in Norwich - with even more variety than before - Edit
The first place I found that had weighty burgers and chips back in 2017 when that sort of vegan food was a rare find. It's now cemented as a staple in Norwich - but having occasionally checked the menu they keep managing to come up with new dishes which is cool to see.

Would recommend getting more than one dish each as we went at lunch - it’s like little sharing plates?
My chai latte was so good though
Pros: All vegan, Friendly staff, Amazing food

Just like the one in Norwich, it’s Excellent! - Edit
Came here for a nice dinner with my wife having been to the Norwich one a few times.
Read moreGreat atmosphere, very friendly staff and really nice food! (The cocktails are tasty too)
A fully vegan menu with a range of choices, if you’re with a partner DEFINITELY get the sharing platter to start, it is really good and a great way to start dinner.
Would happily come back again and again,
Only con (and it’s not really a con) it’s a little pricey, we think it absolutely lives up to its cost but for some or big groups it’s worth noting!

Glorious - Edit
Everything we had was wonderful, particularly the oyster mushrooms and the arancini, which we ordered a second batch of because they were so delicious! We weren’t tempted by any of the desserts though, possibly because we’d already eaten so much. We’ll be thinking about this meal for a long time.

Incredible (+ tons of GF options)! - Edit
I’ve been to Tipsy Vegan twice now and it’s fast becoming one of my favourite restaurants in Cambridge! Absolutely TONS of delicious GF options and wonderful staff. Crazy delicious and the tapas-style makes it a great place for a social meal with friends. Beautiful location right next to the river, too! Couldn’t recommend more highly and a must for any vegans visiting Cam. (Update - visited four times now!)

Delicious Tapas - Edit
Nice restaurant directly opposite the river. Serves various vegan tapas, of which you can try a variety - especially if you are there with several people. Everything I tried tasted delicious, and I especially liked the vegan chorizo.

Great social dining experience - Edit
Food was delicious, buffalo cauliflower was a favourite in our group! Dishes made for sharing - except sliders which come as one single burger but we just cut ours up to share so no big deal. Super friendly staff and great service, Robbie found us an extra seat to what I'd booked. They were also very hot on allergies and intolerances and explained suitable dishes really clearly. Will definitely be back!

Very good food! - Edit
They don't have mains, just small dishes (tapas style). This results in it being more expensive than a usual restaurant, though with the upside of being able to try different things.
Read moreThe food is varied and tasty, especially the arancini (do try it)!
The staff was friendly, but the service was very very slow. It might perhaps be related to labour shortage at the moment. Also, they ran out of wine glasses (but not wine).

Great food although not cheap - Edit
It’s in a great location in Cambridge and the decor and bar area are nicely kitted out. The food was all super tasty and we had a £20 deal (between 5-6pm) for 2x cocktails and a sharing board. As the cocktails were £9 a shot this is a cracking deal so well worth doing. The servings are small so we then topped up our order with come cauliflower and tofu that was delicious and a portion of chips (with mayo for £1 extra). All in all a successful first visit

Great food and service - Edit
Lovely vegan tapas food and bar with excellent service. The tapas plates are filling and taste amazing although they are quite expensive. We were less impressed with the cocktails, one of them was delicious (trouble in the orchard), but the other a bit meh. The eton mess was disappointing because the meringue had melted into the cream and the texture had been lost, would be delicious if they had got the texture right.
Read moreParticularly enjoyed the arepas, the greens in hollandaise, the tacos and the epic mac and cheese.
Also an INCREDIBLE selection of gluten free options, which meant I didn't feel like I was missing out.
Overall a lovely place for an special evening out and a great addition to cambridge!
