Started well but a sad disappointment - Edit
So looked forward to coming here. A lovely room and delicious cauliflower buffalo wings and charred tofu for starters. Sadly all downhill from there. Mains looked pretty but the stars of our dishes (one aubergine steak and the other hasselback courgette) were soggy, watery and with no taste. Accompanying vegetables and garnish were solid and undercooked. Everything tasteless and the chunky chips greasy.

Spent the night in Manchester for work and was looking for something exciting! They did not disappoint! 3 courses for £20, all exceptional in flavour and value for money! 100% recommended and definitely will be back 🎉

Really lovely place - friendly staff and love the vibe in there. - Edit
Had a really lovely meal here yesterday afternoon. The staff were really friendly with us and made sure we had everything we needed. Had the three courses for £20 which is a good deal, as alone one main course is about £15! The aubergine steak was delicious, in fact everything was! It really was like something I’d never eaten before. Would 100% recommend, it was fab.

Really friendly and helpful staff at this informal and central restaurant. The menu is very imaginative and allows you to choose a selection of sides if they appeal over the starter and main options. On our visit there was a £20 set menu which was good value. Highly recommended.

Absolutely loved this place when it was in Stockport but was very disappointed when we went a few weeks ago and the food was mediocre and very very expensive. What a disappointment.

went for the set menu which was great value at £20. Cauliflower and mushroom soup was very tasty followed by Confit Aubergine, Puy Lentil & Red Wine Ragout, Quinoa which lacked flavour. Staff very kindly substituted set dessert for me for the cheese board which was good with tasty crackers.

Great concept, but a bit disappointing - Edit
We went for Sunday lunch and were the only people there for about 80 minutes, which was a shame as it meant atmosphere was lacking. Nicely laid out and decorated. The Sunday lunch set menu was a bit disappointing except for the dessert place which was really tasty and beautifully presented. I think we were perhaps a bit unlucky and I would certainly give the place another try.

A bit bland - Edit
Called in tonight about 6:30 no problem with a table staff were very good answered any questions I had re the menu.
Read moreOrdered the plantain ice cream and Billtong starter certainly a different style. With the ice cream being frozen the flavour of the plantain was masked. The Billtong was good but as a dish a bit weird!!
For main I had a mushroom Rosti amongst roasted squash, pineapple plantain vegetable chips and a gravy. Other than the mushrooms it was all very orange and not a great plate for £15.
Rather than dessert I went for the Cheese board which was probably whilst being to me original was very good however the all 3 mild cheeses were overtaken and totally lost by the very good onion relish.
The staff were excellent explained. All that came out and the environment was very good....More Flavour please
Pros: Full vegan menu, Staff were excellent , Surroundings very nice
Cons: All a bit bland, Main course was expensive , Drinks prices very reasonable

Fantastic food, great service - Edit
Best restaurant I've been to since becoming vegan.
Read moreThe flavours were exquisitely well balanced and accurate.
The service was very nice, professional and helpful.
The atmosphere was quite relaxed and semi-formal.
The prices are as you'd expect from a casual fine dining place, but not nearly as high as regular fine dining places.

Been a couple of times, once for Sunday lunch which was amazing for £25. Had the 10 course tasting menu the other time, amazing food all round and good value for the amount of work and creativity that goes into the dishes.

wanted to this place but left feeling disappointed! - Edit
I really wanted to love this place. I really did! But I did end up leaving hungry and slightly disappointed. We went for my 30th and opted for the 10 course tasting menu. I found it to be fairly hit or miss, with some courses showing real creativity and others lacking the finesse that I was hoping to see, or were just let down by taste combinations that were absolutely bizarre and simply didn’t work. I’ve eaten in plenty of Michelin starred restaurants over the years so not entirely unfamiliar with unusual combinations but a few of the courses here just did not work for me. Staff were sweet and friendly, although the restaurant itself was so cold I ended up putting my jacket on part way though!

Vegan taster delights, fine dining - Edit
Finally managed to try this delight! Saw it on happy cow and have wanted to try it for ages.
Read moreThere was a group of 8 of us, half got 10 courses for £55, and the others got 7 courses for £40. There was a drinks menu to match each course for £25 but a lot of us were driving so we didn’t try this. Various wines, hot drinks and soft drinks were also available.
The table water was flavoured with cucumber and mint, really nice combination. I’ll be trying it at home!
Each course tantalised my taste buds in different ways, combinations of hot and cold, sweet and savoury and an array of different flavours and textures. Definitely what I’d describe as ‘posh’ food, and it’s an experience worth trying.
The courses were beautifully presented, small and spaced out. We arrived at 7pm and left after 11pm! In hindsight I would’ve gone earlier, we were all quite tired by the end plus a lot of us travelled a fair distance.
It wasn’t completely filling compared to other experiences dining out but I suppose that’s ‘fine dining’.
There was no parking at the venue, they advised to park at the Churchgate car park - 3 minutes walk away, free after 6pm.
Inside there was a relaxed ambience, candles on the tables. The decor was light and warm. The chefs could be seen behind the counter working up the delicious dishes. The service was great and all meals arrived at the same time. They were accommodating and allowed us to rearrange the tables so that we could all sit together.
I would come here again, perhaps for a special occasion and when the menu has changed.
If you’re looking for an alternative dining experience, then try it out!
Pros: Fully vegan , Great service , Delicious food

Fine vegan dining - Edit
We travelled from the West Midlands and booked an overnight hotel just in order to try this gastronomic experience and it did not disappoint.
Read moreA modest space in a modest town, this modernist and progressive restaurant redefines what a vegan restaurant can be. It is all about the food, offering a delightful and surprising experience with each dish from a set menu of 7 or 10 dishes passionately and painstakingly prepared by by the chef and owner who has honed his skill in France and Rosette starred restaurants.
As unpretentious as fine dining can be in a welcoming, friendly and diverse environment it offers a evening’s glimpse into how a better future may taste.
I urge you to try it.

Go out of your way to get here - Edit
The food changes frequently so I can't tell you what to get, but all of my dishes were wonderful. Perhaps the cauliflower buffalo wings are a regular feature so I can tell you for sure to get those – but save room for dessert. Delightful local craft beer on offer as well. Get here.

You have to visit - Edit
There are no words that can adequately give justice to this fine dining experience. In fact, the only way to describe the food is by multiplying every yummy noise ever by ten and putting on constant replay. We have visited on a umber if occasions. I am vegan, my husband is not, but equally enjoys all of the food. Seriously, you need to try this place. You will not be disappointed. The service is excellent, too. Oh, try their homemade cordials!
