Wonderful, best lunch we had in Venice - Edit
This may not be a vegan restaurant but they actually take their vegan food seriously and it showed. I ordered the tasting menu and everything I ate was delicious, thoughtfully conceived, and beautiful. Note that it can take a long time for all the dishes to be served, they take dining and enjoying your meal seriously (it took about two hours for the full meal, so plan accordingly).
Read moreWe ate here on day two in Venice, after a day of sadly notably lackluster dining, so Da Mario was exactly what we needed to save the trip.

Expensive, but incredible - Edit
Incredible food and a whole vegan menu included in the main menu with lots of options. Vegan tasting menu available for €62, which includes 4 courses. I opted for this and although pricey, it was definitely worth the money as I think I ate more in this meal than the rest of the trip so far! Every course was delicious.

Tried several items on their vegan menu. All excellent! Definitely save room for the chocolate “spaghetti” with mint ice cream.

Overpriced, but great dessert! - Edit
I enjoyed this restaurant, but the overall value was mediocre. Considering our experience, I thought it was overpriced. Our server was unfriendly, we waited more than 40 minutes for our entree, several of the vegan menu options were not available to order, and the food was just okay. Having said that, I really appreciated the explicit vegan options, and I loved the beautiful presentation of the dishes. And I absolutely loved our dessert – the “after eight” chocolate spaghetti. It was novel and very delicious! If you’re eager for explicit vegan menus in Venice, this is a good choice, but overall it did not impress me. Make a reservation in advance online.

Not worth it I don’t reckon - Edit
Very expensive for kinda average food. Eggplant lasagne was a grey salty pillow. Service was kinda weird.. very quick with some things but then seemingly ignoring you with others. Mama mia

Whole Vegan Menu! - Edit
Nice place with pleasant waiters.
Read moreA gastronomic Italian restaurant but with a whole vegan menu. Incredible!
Classics dishes revisited in vegan version. Everything was delicious (special mention for the crusted beetroot filet and truffle sauce!).
And to accompany it all, a wide selection of wines, even if the wines menu was a bit complicated to understand.

Pros: 100% Vegan menu, Pleasant waiters, Incredible flavours
Cons: Wines menu a bit complicated to understand

High end experience - Edit
The restaurant has a separated vegan menu with around 10 dishes. I had the cold corn pasta which was delicious, and the stuffed beet root with truffles cream, which was wow. The price is over the top, but the meat dishes were even more pricey. I do recommend going there for a nice evening out when you to treat yourselves.

Great extra vegan menu - Edit
Very authentic italien/ venecian restaurant with an extra menu with several vegan options/ piatti. The food was amazing! We ate the roasted beetroot with truffle sauce (to die for), the lasagna and pumpkin puree with cinnamon and our non vegan friends were very happy with the authentic experience and food as well. Also the staff was super friendly and accommodating. The only thing to consider is the price, but it’s proportional to the quality and service. Absolute recommendation for a trip to Venice!

Disappointed - Edit
I wanted to love this restaurant, which tries very hard to provide top quality vegan fare with an entire vegan menu. Maybe I ordered the wrong food? The waiter steered me to the pumpkin stuffed zucchini flowers, which were lightly patented and fried. Whoops I don’t like fried food. For the main dish, I had beets in a delicate filo like crust. This was tasty as the sauce was truffle infused. But it was missing a protein source. Then I ordered a salad on the menu and I received one loaded with bread and no lettuce. Either I made the wrong choices or the restaurant needs to rethink its menu.

Okey fine dining with a history - Edit
Me and my husband both had the 4 course vegan menu. Some dishes were much better than others. Some dishes were mediocre, like the precourse with zucchini and the two "1 course" dishes that we tried (pasta dish with dill and vegan lasagna). One 2 course dish with foccacia was good but absurd that it costs 21€. However one precourse with zucchini flower filled with pumpning creme, battered and deep fried with rocket sauce, and also one "2 course" dish with filo dough baked beetroot with truffle sauce was delicious. Desserts were good but not overwhelming, strawberry sauce with ice creme and vegan cookie or rubarb and banana creme cheese crema/ice creme with some fruit.
Read moreWe recommend: pre: deep fried zucchini flower with rockers sauce. 1 c: skip. 2 c: beetroot. Dessert: skip or strawberry soup.
With not too many vegan options in Venice we still recommend a visit. Really charming staff and relatively calm street. Fun to try a menu in Venice!

Pros: Separate vegan meny in English , Charming staff, Calm street
Cons: Fine dining should be better than this, Expensive, 58€ for 4 course, Not satisfactory to eat only one dish for 19€

I came here for dinner with my (non-vegan) mother after hearing lots of great things about their vegan menu
Read moreYou can tell right away that they put a lot of effort into making very high quality vegan food! I also love they they have a taster menu option so that you can try smaller portions of more dishes, which is what I did!
I tried the aubergine/eggplant starter, artichokes trofei (no picture unfortunately), the beetroot filet dish and the sapori di bosco dessert
Everything was very very tasty!

I love that they have a separate vegan menu with appetizers, pasta, main courses, and desserts. The creamy lasagna with aubergine and sun-dried tomatoes was very tasty, and they also provided complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Fine Dining Vegan Menu - Edit
This restaurant has a full vegan menu - would give 5 stars if HappyCow allowed! We were blown away by our dining experience at Ristorante da Mario Alla Fava. It was truly an experience. Our waiter Luca was so passionate, informative and attentive during our visit and the food was incredible. My husband and I took Luca’s recommendation of doing the tasting menu from the Vegan menu, and each tried different items. Every course was beautiful and delicious, and like nothing we had ever seen anywhere else. The desserts were also gorgeous and amazing. Luca also recommended a champagne to pair with our meal and it was incredible. The ambience of the restaurant is also perfect - old Italy character and charm with modern touches. Truly a vegan fine dining experience. Highly recommend.

It’s places like this that really need 5 (or more!) stars!
Read moreWe had their vegan tasting menu which was 4 courses including dessert for €52, and it did not disappoint.
Every single dish was really special, with subtle combinations of flavors and textures that really wowed us.
The highlight was the “beetroot fillet” in pastry with a creamy trufffle sauce. Absolutely sublime.
The dessert was incredible vegan chestnut and pistachio mousse with berries - every mouthful was a joy.
Plus the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly :)
