Dinner Last Night Was Incredible! - Edit
I went for a day trip to London yesterday, and as soon as we saw the reviews this was our obvious dinner choice! My boyfriend and I each had a plate of the nigiri vegetable sushi, which was 12 pieces of different veggie sushi (with one or two repeats) served with optional wasabi. They were all really delicious (and very filling), my absolute favourite was the one topped with mashed avocado + red onion, could've eaten an entire platter of them! I drank a whole earth cola and my boyfriend an organic lager, with the total bill (incl. service charge) coming to £41.80, which given we were in London was not too bad.
Read moreMy only advice would be that it is definitely worth making a reservation - I would've liked to try the starters but when we arrived we were told that we could be squeezed in only for the next hour, so we didn't have time.

Small but tasty - Edit
I came here for a birthday meal. The food is very tasty and they have some unique flavours, however the portions are very small. It wouldn’t cost much to add more rice or noodles (cheap ingredients). My partner had one very thin slice of tofu in his ramen.
Read moreI had the Nasu Ju (aubergine dish) and the special of the day, which was Roasted Coffee Barley Purin (panna cotta). Both were very flavourful and I enjoyed them a lot.
Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The service was very fast too.
We had a lovely time, I just feel that it was expensive for what it was. I’m not a Londoner so maybe that’s normal here? But we had snacks back at our hotel after eating 2 courses each.
I will also say it’s lovely to go to a fully vegan restaurant and not have to worry about ingredients.

Lovely food - Edit
Interior is great - beautiful and had relaxing music. Service was amazing! The starters were amazing - especially the tofu steak. The sake taster was great to try three types of sake. The ramen was ok - I was hoping it to have more veggies / tofu it was mainly noodles.

So creamy and tasty! Really fresh ingredients and well spiced, doesn’t rely on lots of oils or sauces. Really delicate! Some of the best vegan ramen I’ve had!

The Japanese Curry Udon is exceptional - Edit
I tried the Japanese Curry Udon at lunch which was £12 plus £1.50 service charge. The dish was excellent. The broth had lovely rich flavour as did the tofu and the seaweed.

Vegan Japanese cuisine - Edit
We had a pre-show dinner here and had booked a table for 5.30pm, when they open for evening service. What a joy to have everything vegan and not to be worried about fish or dairy sneaking in to innocuous looking dishes. It made everything much more relaxing! Our party particularly enjoyed the miso aubergine, tofu steaks, battered mushrooms and mushrooms with seaweed. We decided to go for a number of tapas style small dishes and share. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient and we were out in plenty of time to get to the show.
Read moreThe sushi dish of the day was not as authentic as it might have been, suggested our son who has lived in Japan for the last year. He thought the rice in it could have been soaked/treated in something rather than being plain, but this might be preferable to other diners. It was still good to eat, he said. I would definitely go back, and maybe stay longer and try a dessert! I found the meal brought back memories of our time in Japan visiting our son, and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Pros: Entirely vegan , Miso baked aubergine!!, Friendly and efficient

Beware the discretionary service charge! - Edit
They got my order wrong and had even repeated it correctly. They brought a dish that we honestly thought was their equivalent of free crackers in a Thai restaurant as it was so small. After my wife had already finished I finally asked if they had forgotten mine. Turns out the thing they brought was mine. They then brought what I had actually ordered. We still got charged for the incorrect dish but we ate it so I suppose that’s fair enough.
Read moreOne of my pet peeves is a service charge - show the real price! But on checking it does not even go to the staff it all goes to the company! It is not a tip. My personal recommendation is to remove it and tip in cash which I did and tipped more than the charge and it went to the staff not the company.

Quite unique - Edit
Beautiful food, very sophisticated flavours and very friendly service, pricey but well worth it. You don’t pay for the decor or the location but for the excellent food. My only gripe is the they don’t do the bento boxes anymore any only one tempura option. But there’s plenty in the menu to enjoy. Good sake menu too!

One thing I miss after going vegan is authentic Japanese food. This was my favorite meal in London by far. Everything we ordered was delicious and I felt like I was in Japan again. Be prepared to spend a pretty penny though. I recommend making a reservation.

Authentic and cozy - Edit
The restaurant is cozy and staff are sweet. The food is authentic so we got to try stuff we wouldn't usually have.
Read moreWe had 3 tapas, 2 mains and a dessert between us, which was fine for a medium light dinner.
We had tonkotsu ramen, Japanese curry and rice for mains. As tapas/ starters we had the han rice, mapo tofu and gyoza. For dessert we had the Matcha pudding.
I would recommend the mapo tofu. Gyoza was a bit bland and I prefer it steamed to deep fried. Both mains were good. But overall we felt it was expensive for the portion size. The mapo tofu dish was the only one I felt was worth what we paid.
Fortunately we got 50% off the drinks by booking the 5:30pm sitting online. It was reasonable for that, but I would have been unhappy paying the full £7 for a small glass of smoothie.
They have a 90 minute table turnaround time but this isn't an issue given how quickly the food comes out!
Pros: Fast service, Authentic
Cons: Small main portions, Expensive

Great, authentic, flavoursome. Value for money. - Edit
This place is great. The choice is a little limited. However the food is great. Even some of the classic dishes (like spring rolls) have a slight twist. Definitely try the curry and rice dish.
