Awesome sushi!

Great selection of vegan Japanese dishes. The sushi and the grilled tofu were delicious. The restaurant itself is very small and feels a bit “naked”. Not much of ambience, especially down in the basement. 😀

Pros: Vegan, Delicious food

Cons: No ambience , Expensive

So disappointed

I tried the Kings Cross restaurant after visiting the Kyoto branch when I went to Japan. I absolutely loved the food I ordered at the Japan restaurant but was very let down by the Kings Cross one.
The tofu udon was bland, I asked the waitress for chilli oil several times and after waiting more than 10 minutes for it I got up and asked a different waitress. She handed me the small dish of chilli sauce that had just been sitting there for how long so clearly my waitress had forgotten all about it.
I could excuse this if everything else was great but because the food was expensive and quite tasteless it was just another thing to add to the list. My friend ordered a dessert which I tasted a little bit of and it was not nice at all. The waitress said it was sweet when my friend asked for a recommendation and this dessert was anything but. It tasted like corn flour mixed with water in a jelly/gelatine form - the worst dessert I’ve ever tasted!

Pros: Great spring rolls , Maki was lovely

Cons: Expensive , Service slow , Food bland

Authentic Japanese food

I tried to book online but it said completely full. I went anyway as it was close to my hotel and it was only half full so worth just turning up. Disappointing that the chopsticks, spoon and bowl were all plastic.
10% discount if you pay cash.

Pros: All vegan, Allergies clearly stated, Authentic

Cons: Plastic chopsticks, spoon and bowl

Excellent food! Pricey though!

I loved the food in this place. It was filling and tasty. Only con is that it is pretty pricey, so I’ve only been here once. Average per head cost is probably around the £17-20 mark. Worth a visit as a treat, but unless you are rich, not a place you can keep going back to often!

Pros: excellent food

Cons: expensive

Delicious and expensive

Fabulous food - each dish tastes different and wonderful. Really special. But I spent £90 on 2 people and left still peckish. Tiny portions. Great as a rare treat.

Pros: Amazing taste, Variety

Cons: Expensive

Very good food

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was very relaxed, and the service was friendly and fast. The only issue we had is that we had 2 starters, 3 mains, and 2 desserts between 2 people, but were still left feeling a bit hungry! However I highly recommend this place for the sushi and tempura ☺️

Pros: Nice vibes, Lots of choice, All vegan

Cons: A little pricey

Bland & unhygenic

Staff are not too friendly the blonde waitress was quick in taking the order. Got the food and myself and my friend found it totally bland, at the bottom of my miso soup I also found a blonde hair. I am not blonde obviously.. Nice! Not very good value for money.

Ok but no great

Heard good things about GF offerings here. Server didn't seem bothered in explaining what could be made GF. As someone else said, japanese flavours are subtle but this was just bland. Very good miso soup saved the meal.

Worst vegan food I had

As a japanese food enthusiast, I was really excited about this place, but it was very disappointing.
Service was bad, I had to wait for the menu really long time, even people who came after me were served first. Once I ordered, waitress brought me wrong item twice. When I wanted to order desert she said they are not serving it today. Overall, I felt unwelcomed.
Food itself was really bad, everything was cold, lacked flavor and soaked in oil. Oil is pretty much all I could taste and I could still feel it's aftertaste an hour later! I really don't understand all the good reviews. Maybe if I ordered bento box or sushi (since most review are about the two)? I don't know if it was organic as people comment, but it definitely didn't taste healthy...

Pros: affordable

Cons: poor service, unhealthy, tastes bad

Not open despite opening times listed!

We came here as it says open 12-3 sat lunch time but arrived at 12,30 and was closed! Could see staff inside but they took no notice of us. Tried ringing day before and on the day no answer. Disappointing & made us end up eating in am omni restaurant.

Hi, I'm sorry that you found them closed. I can see your review was left on a Saturday. I checked their Facebook page and saw they announced that during summer they will be closed every Saturday. Sorry about that.

Amazing !

The restaurant is calm and relax. The service is exceptional, fast and quiet (the way I like it).
If you wanna enjoy delicious vegan ramen, sushis in a zen atmosphere, it is the best place to be.

Pros: reasonable prices

Cons: a bit far from the city center

A beautiful surprise

This little Japanese restaurant is definitely a beautiful surprise for me. All the dishes I ordered are beautifully presented and the ingredients are organic, fresh, vegan and tasty.

What's more, everything was handmade and prepared after I placed my order. It did take a little while to get the food but it is worth waiting for.

Pros: Great presentation, Vegan, Organic

Cons: A bit expensive, Slow service

Delicious!!

Came here straight from a long train journey. Was made to feel welcome right away. I had some okara balls with seaweed to start and the bibimbap as my main. Really tasty and food was nicely presented. Red bean pudding was great too!!

Delicately Delicious Food

We loved this little restaurant. The food was just delicious; light and tasty with delicate flavours. Fantastic that the menu is entirely vegan. The restaurant itself is only a small place with a calm feel, and the staff were lovely.

Pros: Delicious food

Wonderful cosy Japanese restaurant in London

I went there about one year ago. I saw this vegan japanese restaurant on Happy Cow and had to try it. What to say? It's wonderful cosy restaurant, with nice staff and delicious food. I had to come again with my mother :). Go there, that's really something you don't want to miss.

Pros: Vegan Japanese: not so common..., Cosy place with friendly staff, Delicious food

Wonderful experience

I had no idea that a full vegan JAPANESE restaurant existed, but I was determined to try it when I discovered it randomly on Happy Cow. And I wasn’t disappointed. Furnished as a real japanese restaurant ought to be and great food was served suprisingly quick.

Pros: Traditional japanese food despite the vegan twist, Friendly staff, Relaxing atmosphere

Simple but tasty

Had the £10 bento box from their lunch menu, and the side dishes offered were quite delicious. The interior was cute, and it's a convenient walk from King's Cross station. Can't wait to try other things from their menu.

Great food, just aim to get there for the lunch menu or you’ll be paying almost twice the price for the same amount of food

Excellent food

My order was placed shortly after 6 pm and was served quickly. I had the Bento Box to try a mixture of dishes. What a good meal! Very well done shredded-vegetable Kakiage tempura and dipping sauce, a small bowl of good miso soup, tofu in a light sauce, green salad with tasty vinaigrette, seaweed condiment, spring roll and six pieces of Kimpab roll sushi. They add 10% gratuity to the bill. They discount bills by 10% if you pay in cash.

Vegan Japanese

I love Japanese food but Japanese food doesn't love me: fish/dashi is often used as a base and I often feel frustrated in Japanese restaurants.
I loved Itadaki for that, I could choose from the all menu.
The place is nice, quite authentic. I was with a Japanese friend and she approved of the food.
Diner is a bit expensive maybe but they have cheap lunch options.

Pros: Vegan Japanese food, Atmosphere, Tasty food!

Cons: Diner a bit expensive
