Nice restaurant in Palermo Hollywood

This is a nice vege restuarant with good wholesome food and service, which is a relief to find in Buenos Aires. The atmosphere is homey and comfortable. It is easy to access from Palermo station (about 10mins walk) and is located in the popular night area of Palermo Hollywood. A meal costs about 35 pesos. The menu is also in English.

Average food and over-priced

After reading all the great reviews about this place I was really disappointed by the food. It was great fun finding the place and it felt very local. We were warmly greeted by the owner who organised a selection of dishes for us. Sadly, all of the food was bland or deep fried and tastless. I couldn't say anything nice about the food (and I wish I could!). The fact the prices were discretionary was also frustrating as we ended up paying much more than we'd paid at other (much better) vege restuarants in KL. Still very reasonable but way overpriced for what we received. I'd recommend you try elsewhere.

Good, hearty lunches

Cafeteria style resturant serving lunch only. Offer a good set menu for about $US3 to $4.50, including gluten patties and rice with salad and soup. The food is not the tastiest I have ever had but is decent and definitely good value. The food often sells out early, so you are best going before 2pm. A good vege option in Colombia.

Absolutely delicious food & great service

The food at this resturant was fantastic and it was great to be able to try local dishes with a vege twist. I agree the skewers were a little disappointing but the vege curries and cold rolls were divine. Definitely recommended. The prices are good by western standards but higher than elsewhere in Cambodia (but most things in Siem Reap are a bit pricier). If you're looking to get away from the main tourist road, try and grab the solo table on the upstairs balcony - definitely the premium seat in the house.

Fantastic creative vege food

This place offers both creative and delicious vege food. I tried several vege places in central Madrid and this was by far the best!
The Asian-inspired dishes were delicious....a great combination of flavours and fresh produce. It was fantastic to find such 'clever' vege food in Spain.
The restaurant has a lovely setting and the staff were very friendly.
As per a previous reviewer, I would recommend booking as we arrived at 9.20pm and were lucky to get the very last table in the place. And, it is worth the effort!

Great fast food place

This place offers tasty vege fast food in the form of falafel and a small salad bar. I found it perfect for a quick, easy meal in Madrid. I also ate in several of the vege restaurants around town and found this place was tasty and easy when I needed something quick and reasonably priced to eat. The falafel was fresh and the salad bar offered several options, including tasty chick peas and tomatoes and onions, which added up to a pretty filing snack or dinner. The staff were friendly and the three menu options were easy to follow. Overall, it offers a good fast food option for veges in Madrid.

Good food and dine-in available

The Green Apple offers a good variety of vege food and friendly staff. The food is heated up in a microwave but is always fresh.
This was one of only two dine-in vege places I could find in Mendoza, and the only one open at night. But you pay for the privilege of eating in.
A meal is about $20pesos compared to about $10-12pesos at the take-away vege places around. town. However, it's still a bargain at about $7USD for a good plate of food.

Great if you like faux meat

Very friendly owner with an almost overwhelming selection of foods. Mostly faux meat dishes - anything you could possibly imagine. Great prices!

I was thrilled to find brown rice here but, unfortunately, I don't really like faux meat so the dishes were limited.

If you're like me, and don't really like faux meat, I'd actually recommend trying non-veg restuarants that have vegetarian options available - much better selection and much tastier than the food I tried at the veg-specific restuarants I tried in KL.

Great service and food

This is one of the best vege restuarants I've found so far in South America. The service was great and most of the staff spoke English, which was a bonus. The soups and set plates were delicious and the dessert was divine - I'd recommend the chocolate brownie.
A great experience all round!

Huge meals and friendly service

I found the service at El Maple great. While the food was not the best I have ever had, I found the vege stew and stirfry rice pretty good. Beware...the portions are huge and they close at 9pm (which makes it difficult to stuff down a huge meal!). I think El Maple is a good option for vege dining in Quito, which is pretty scarce (especially if you're tired of pizza and pasta.) It's a high 3 rating.

Average food and service

This restuarant lacked atmosphere. I only visited once, as I found much better vege options in Santaigo, but the food I had was bland. The service was also fairly average and it was like eating in a basic cafeteria. However, I could recommend the fruit salad for those after a light meal downtown.

Disappointed by this Indian restuarant

I was really disappointed by this Indian vege restuarant - you can find plenty of better, tastier Indian vege food elsewhere in KL. The service was frustrating and the staff obessed with 'upselling' everything - from the air-cond room to the daily 'specials'. The waiter wouldn't even listen to what we wanted to order. I found the food a little average - tasty enough but no better than other Indian restuarants I found elsewhere. I find it hard to recommend this place.

Central and convenient

Offer a daily set menu with different foods to sample, including quiche, pasta and mixed vegetables. Great service but I must agree the food was pretty bland.
