Nice that there’s healthier items than most places - Edit
Waited awhile to be seated. Had the Thai glass noodle stir fry, Gluten free burger and the Buckwheat pancakes. The pancakes didn’t have the “famous coconut whip” on it as the menu states. The burger was pretty yummy. I felt like the glass noodle stir fry needed more flavour. But otherwise a nice place with healthy options!

Fantastic Vegan find! - Edit
I came here last time I was in Vancouver, and, by far, it's my favourite Vegan spot!
Read moreThe food I had here was well prepared, delicious, and the staff was friendly, and answered any questions I had about the menu!
I highly recommend this spot! My favourite dishes are the buckwheat pancakes, and their Tacos! I also had a kava beverage that was excellent!
Pros: All Vegan, Great quality of ingredients! , Profits go to charity
Cons: Can be a bit pricey (but it's actually worth the c, Can be hard to find if you're new to the area

Pancakes!!!!! - Edit
Came in for some take-out, everybody was jet lagged in the hotel room. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We did two orders of buckwheat pancakes and they were great. Exactly what I was craving. We will both order them again next time we are in town. Menu was large with a lot of options, can’t wait to come back and actually sit down. Looked like it had some options the kids would enjoy as well. Price was consistent with an all vegan place.

Vegan heaven - Edit
My wife and I went here for lunch one day and ordered the Cannelloni and a flatbread that was on special that day and both dishes were amazing. They were so fresh and not greasy at all and delicious. The atmosphere was very relaxing but energizing as well. We will definitely be back again next time we are in Vancouver to sample more things from the menu.

Amazing - Edit
I loved this place. The restaurant is beautiful, very fine-dinning experience with comfortable seating. The service was good, but food was a little slow coming out. The wait was worth it though and food was amazing. We got the cheese platter, quiche, cannelloni, kale salad and apple pie and all were delicious. A very healthy vegan restaurant. A must visit place in Vancouver!

Serene place but a bit expensive - Edit
I like the food but the names was a bit misleading.
Read moreThe canelloni was a cold dish, basically a salad. I wish the description stated that.
The soup was very fresh and tasty.

I rarely go here because it is out of my price range for frequent visiting, but it is a really nice place. I love their kale salad and kava drinks, although everything I've tried here has been great!

Hip and very health aware - Edit
We ate here for a late breakfast and I had very yummy vegan pankcakes with strawberries, coconut cream and maple syrup. The mango smoothie I drank too was filled with other healthy ingredients.
Read moreMy partner ordered the raw gluten free pizza which I wasn't sure was ever going to be a good choice for him because it was very different from the 'normal' pizza he loves to eat. It came as two dark, raw, flatbread pieces with mushrooms and rocket and a sauce on. I ate a bite or two which I enjoyed but he didn't; after ploughing through a piece he explained that he really disliked the texture of the flatbread.
The Zend Lounge is very conscious of health foods and there were lots of the latest healthy ingredients and choices there. I think it isn't a place to take non-veggies too if they're not keen on trying out new things. I think we would have appreciated it more if we were more aware of the latest trends in health foods.
Pros: Very healthy and self aware, Modern decor, Tasty pancakes
Cons: No cheap eats

Manger avec bonne conscience! - Edit

The atmosphere is very relaxing and pleasant. Food is quite unique (at least for me, a not a raw vegan). Even though their portions may look small they are surprisingly filling.

So unique and delicious! - Edit
I love this place. I have been for both brunch and lunch and really liked the options. Everything on the menu is so healthy and different. It's nice to go for vegan food that isn't just rice bowls :P I went with carnivores and they were a little put off by some of the mock-egg and mock-meat brunch options, so maybe tread lightly if bringing people along for brunch. We LOVED the Zend cards, though, and sat around for so long playing them - please make them available for sale!

If you want to try something different, Zend Conscious will provide that. If you want predictable flavors or are taking out veggie newbies, I wouldn't recommend it. We had the cheese board, beet benny, and quiche. Definitely fresh and healthy.

Yummy Food, but Tiny Menu - Edit
I may have offended our server when I asked if these 8 dishes were the entire menu, but I asked with good reason - the menu is so limited! While the food was good, portions were small and I left a little unsatisfied. Seems like a cool ambience, although I was not impressed with the food (the most important part!)

Affordable high-end experience - Edit
Even though I had the address, I passed Zend Conscious Lounge looking for it because it just look so much like a sophisticated steak restaurant or maybe like a really upscale Japanese restaurant from the outside. And yet it's so easy to find it: where the fire is.
Read moreI ordered a three-course set menu and started with a zend drink that was commended to me by my waiter. It was served in a small wooden cup and it had a very strong, intense taste; it tasted somewhat like expensive wood, it seemed to me as if the cup and the beverage were the same thing just one solid and the other one liquid; but it's more likely that zend drink contained mainly ginger.
So the ambiance is absolutely delightful, the interior is done up very nicely. The party games on each table are a great idea! Furthermore the staff was most friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Lastly the food would pass the highest quality and freshness standards. The servings weren't that big, but (besides good looking) quite filling. I have to admit that it hit the spot, but on the other hand wasn't outstanding. Some of the ingredients weren't my favorites (such as ginger), so after all it was fine but could have been better (according to my particular taste).
Finally, well, a high-end restaurant like this is expensive, that goes without saying, hence I won't complain about that. I found it a bit weird that everything was gluten-free (why would anybody want that?), but that's basically all I have to criticize.
Don't know about Wi-Fi, but probably they do have.
Even though the food could be more delicious (according to my taste) I couldn't possibly give any other rating than five cows, that's as clear as day.
Pros: delightful ambiance and interior, very attentive staff!, great concept
Cons: expensive

Zend you're doing it right! - Edit
Zend Conscious Lounge is the best yet to discover vegan restaurant in the heart of Yaletown on Mainland Street. It's east to spot with great signage and visible fire pit right outside the main window. There is ample seating in cozy u-shaped booths, warm lighting and an overall relaxing atmosphere. The staff are welcoming, attentive and intuitive. Food aside it was them that made this the best dining out experience we've had in the area in 8 years. The food was all delicious, beautifully presented and very satisfying. A live band playing New Orleans inspired music kept us there longer than we had planned on staying. Can't wait to go back and highly recommend Zend to anyone looking for the perfect dinging experience. I have no doubt that this will become the place to be for vegans and foodies alike.
