Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
I read a book called Fit For Life by the Diamonds, and became a vegan the next day. I love animals, and of course don't want to eat them. I have much more energy eating only vegetables and fruits.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Happycow.net has been my favorite resource for vegan restaurants for years. This is the most comprehensive site I know for vegan restaurants, and has helped me to find numerous vegan and vegan friendly restaurants globally.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Japan, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Tunisia, New Zealand, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Spain, Mexico, England, Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Bermuda, and more. I want to visit Turkey, Taiwan, China and many other places.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Shojin, M.A.K.E. and Crossroads in Los Angeles, Nourish Vegetarian Bistro in Banff, Canada, and Joya in Milan, Italy.

HI! I’ve been traveling for about four months through South America, and now I’m headed back to the States to find work and save some money again. I’m headed to Los Angeles, and I’d love to hear any recommendations you have for vegan friendly places to check out. I’m really interested in Urban Agriculture, food justice, and fighting all forms of oppression, against human and non-human animals alike! Are there any groups, stores, restaurants, that you think I should visit? Thanks for your help!
