I've dined in many times in my life and like an old friend it can always be relied upon. I have some dishes I absolutely love and some that don't shine as bright. Personal favorites are the laksa, mee goreng and the icecream. I had a Malaysian whole cabbage last time I went which was also a delight and unlike anything I've ever tried before, but since it's only a special I'd get in fast!

We came here on a public holiday. You order after scanning a code on your table. Everything vegan was marked on the menus and I noticed the cocktails also had this. I ordered the mee goreng and a mocktail with a chocolate sundae to share. It was easy to order on the app and I liked that you can choose when your dessert comes out. The mocktail was really fresh. The mee goreng plate was huge. I like the flavour. The chocolate sundae makes me question why all sundaes aren’t vegan. Every second table was blocked out.

This is the one place my all friend loves and can always agree on so we eat here often and it’s great that they can have whatever they want and I can still have awesome vegan options! Everytime I’ve been the servers are so accommodating and let me know all the options and what can be changed to be vegan (which is most of the veg curries.) Really flavourful food and lovely service and I always love coming here!

The Vegie bar really delivered! Arancini balls to share as entree, was really nice, even the side salad on the plate was delish. The cheeseburger was so good, melty cheese, presented well and very satisfying. The chips were good too. We finished the meal with tea and cheesecake, best vegan cheesecake I’ve had. Overall, very fresh quality food presented beautifully. Staff were friendly and the vibe there is relaxed and comfortable. Highly recommend.

The food here was good, the pizzas especially. The hemp gnocci salad I found could have had more gnocci in it. The food also took awhile to come, and didn’t all come at the same time. It’s a nice atmosphere with a cute courtyard out the back.

This place is soo amazing that I even worked in there. You can have a feast of whatever you want from pizzas, burghers to cakes and ice creams. Although it is not 100% vegan they have a great range of options and you will be happy and satisfied 🙏.

Love veggiebar and the diversity of food they had! Knocking down a star because service could have been better and also accidentally ordered the only non vegan thing on the menu (the fritters), as you order from an app now I didn't notice the key. Really hope they could make them without the egg so vegans could taste them especially as egg is not in anything else in the menu!! Seems unnecessary 😔

The Vegie Bar has improved so much over the years, and the food really hits the mark these days. The service can be amazing and occasionally a bit lack lustre, but that’s normal for large restaurants with a higher staff turnover. The cakes are delicious! The food menu changed to be 100% vegan, which is great! Avoid peak hours if you don’t want to wait for a seat.

This is my go-to resteraunt along with Madame K's across the road. The food is reliably good but it is always packed. On a Thurs-Sat night you will have to wait 30min for a table at the bar which is fine if you are expecting it.

I ate here 20 years ago when it was pretty much the only vegetarian restaurant in the area. This is the first time in maybe a decade since I've returned and I was glad I came back! The big portions and variety on the menu are still there as is the noisy hip atmosphere and the quick waiting time for food. I was really happy to see that all but one thing on the menu is vegan (if you eat dairy, you need to ask for it. I've not seen this in other restaurants before!). We ordered some arancini balls (they were pretty tiny but tasty), a BBQ pizza and the laksa. Awesome flavors. The Persian love cake has been on the menu for years and it does not disappoint. 👌

Read moreI was a little surprised - I ordered the satay sauce thinking it would be peanut based however it was more like a tomato based sauce. Still very tasty!
The real treat were the cakes we took away - the peanut butter brownie and the Persian love cake. Both were so moist, and so delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about them.

Lots of different stuff to choose from, good cooked pretty well. I had the Mi Goreng which was good. We went on a busy evening, barely a table when we arrived and we were in and out in an hour.

I will say every time I have been here the service does lack a little and I'm always left feeling like I am bothering the staff which is an unpleasant experience. Its very attitudey & rude.
My partner is super friendly & they were even rude to her for no reason at all! We didnt ask for anything other than ordering our meal but were treated so rudely tonight. It has been both of our experience here, over the years. I dont know if we will keep coming back. Especially now there are so many other vegan options around.

Last night I celebrated my daughters 18th birthday at the vegie bar and what a disappointment it was. We had booked well in advance with a 8 pm - 10pm sitting allocation. We were seated at 8.30pm. The service was appalling with us having to ask several times for a drink order to be taken. The staff were inattentive and genuinely looked disinterested. Both my daughter and I are vegan and we really wanted to show case this place as an example of how good vegan/vegetarian food could be. It really felt the opposite. When paying I had to remind them I had paid a deposit, then they had to go and find out what it was, then I got s credit card surcharge added on what was an expensive bill with terrible service. I also rang this morning to complain I was told someone would ring me back around noon. Still waiting. I will never attend this restaurant again. I work hard for my money and you do not deserve my business. If I could give you 1 star I would
