Amazing - Edit
I loved everything about our meal here. The service, decor & dosa were all on point. This is definitely one of the better Indian restaurants in the city.

Upmarket Indian - Edit
Okay, not sooo upmarket but a much more hipster vibe than your local takeaway with prices to match. I’ve been 3 times and it’s a nice place to go with a mixed group of vegans, vegos, and omnis. Each time I’ve been, the whole table ordered all vegan dishes to share and everyone enjoyed their meal. All veg curries have a vegan option, offering tofu in place of paneer. Can’t go wrong with eggplant and potato with chickpea and spinach, imo. It’s great that they have vegan tandoori mushrooms too - most places seem to do it with yoghurt. We once won a competition for the best naan related pun. My husband came up with ‘Cronicles of NAANia’ and we got to enjoy unlimited naan with our meal. I think the naan is usually cooked with butter or ghee but they made it vegan for me on this occasion. But how much naan can you eat in one sitting, really?! They offer dosas at lunch time but I’ve never tried one, mainly because I think $18 is a pretty expensive lunch when many places charge around $10.

Mukk’d up - Edit
We came here for dinner, wanting to try a new place. The setting was nice and it was busy on a Friday night, so we didn’t mind that it took 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The Palak Tofu was delicious, with a savoury sauce, but the tiny pieces of tofu were a bit anaemic and practically dissolved in it. We also ordered the Matar Tofu and when it arrived it didn’t look as I expected, but we talked it over and decided it must be right, because there were only two tofu dishes on the menu. However, we discovered after we’d been eating it that my order must’ve been heard through the noise as *Butter* Tofu (which included about three forms of dairy), a meal that didn’t even exist on the menu as an option. This of course spoilt the dinner for me. The staff were highly apologetic and gave us the meal on the house, but I’ve been burnt and am not inclined to go back.

It was heaven! But now I'll never go back - Edit
Last year's review:Amazing dosa, amazing curries and so much choice!!
Read moreTonight: dreadful. We used to eat here all time and have the best meals. Came back after a year and had such a bad experience we will never return. Tofu palak - tofu was so undercooked it was gross and slimy. Chickpeas in our other curry were raw and inedible.
The dream is over :(

Delicious and great vegan options - Edit
We come here regularly for a Sunday lunch. Today they had a special on South Indian thalis and they had a vegan version. I love that they keep it spicy. I often order the North Indian thali and the tofu and peas curry is amazing. It’s probably my favourite Indian restaurant in Melbourne. The meals are filling too. I also regularly order the rose and cinnamon cooler. It’s so refreshing.

High quality food and cute décor - Edit
A really cute little restaurant with a small but well thought-out menu.
Read moreWe sampled a samosa (huge and tasty) and the aloo chat for starters, followed by the smoky eggplant and pea dosa (delicious) and matar tofu (rich and tasty). Disappointingly there is no vegan naan but the non-vegan naan was apparently very good. The food was great but portions a little smaller than I would expect from an Indian restaurant; we could have done with sharing another curry, or getting an extra bread or a rice on the side. Food was tasty but not overly salty or oily.
If you can't choose, they offer a "just feed me" option (essentially a thali, I assume).
Service was friendly and the atmosphere really pleasant to dine in, with an open kitchen.
Pros: Clearly marked vegan options, Tasty food, Tofu available rather than just vegetables
Cons: Portions on the small side for the price, No vegan naan :(

Pukka - Edit
Very happy to see Vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Enjoyed the Palak Paneer with Tofu on our first visit, along with some quite good momos, samosa, roti and rice.

Good Mukka - Edit
Good food, good service and plenty of options in an inviting establishment. Staff had an obvious understanding of the vegan menu items.
