The restaurant is cool (light hipster vibes, in a good way) and definitely a bit more fancy than a lot of places in KL. So the prices match that and are a bit more expensive than average. There was a good range of food and cocktails. The cocktails all seemed to have a twist on traditional recipes. I had nasi lemak, which was good but not outstanding and a margarita which was okay but had ice in it and a sugared rim - I prefer mine strong and salty!

we payed a European price for a small portion. the roti had a nice taste, the miso on the other hand was just okay and lacked noodles. it’s basically just soup and carrots/cucumbers. On top of that our food came with a 10 minute difference. Will not come back for lunch/dinner despite staying just next door. Maybe trying the cake which looked good.

Went here twice. The ambiance is lovely. We love the decor, furniture, and all of the plants. The food and drinks were delicious. They make the green juice fresh 🫶We got a slice of cake that was, sadly, stale.
Read moreThe second time we went was a lot busier, so we were asked to sit at the bar. Perfect, no worries. When a few tables cleared out and it got less busy, we weren’t moved to a table (other parties at the bar were moved). I ordered a salad, but they didn’t add the chickpeas or millet. They took my plate away and added chickpeas but not millet and offered a short sorry. I didn’t fully enjoy my meal.
Also, they close at midnight on weekends but last call for food is 915.
Overall, I feel like it’s a solid 3.5 stars and experience can be a toss.

FM was pleased to finally be able to try vegan versions of Malaysian classic dishes. The Nasi lemak and Laksa were good but maybe a little plain. The western dishes were more delicious - in particular a yummy Caesar salad.

Unusual food but tax added - Edit
The food is very good and quite unusual: colourful bagel and burger. Nice happy hour on two drinks during the weekend. The food is quite pricey but still the price in the menu is not a final one - they will add 11% to your bill at the end because of some tax, then the price can surprisingly go much higher unfortunately.

The restaurant is on the first floor and looks smaller than it really is. We went for dinner and enjoyed all the dishes, the staff was very attentive. It is not very cheap but it is tasty and fresh. Definitely recommended.

My wife and I enjoyed an incredible meal at The Hungry Tapir. They have a delicious mix of Malay and western dishes. The dessert selection is excellent. And the space is beautiful. Treat yourself to a special meal here!

This place was highly recommended but honestly the food isn’t good at all. It’s is very expensive too for what it is. A sandwich and fries was RM25. Portions are small too. Honestly it was a huge disappointment. Would give it 1* if I could.

This place annoys me. The food is good, BUT the hours are really unpredictable. I've made treks here 3 times on different days and each timeots been advertised as open itsbeen closed. Definately give them a call FIRST before coming here otherwise you will feel frustrated as f!

Read moreHad a good variety of food, had the 'buttermilk' cheeken which was made oyster mushrooms, husband has the pink burger and I had the TLTA. All was very yummy and full of flavour. There was alot of food and I couldn't finish mine so had it boxed/bagged to take away. They wrote a message on the bag, little touches makes a difference.
It is pricier than alot of other places in the area for vegetarian/vegan food however still great value!

This is our treat place in KL. The decor and service is great and food, very tasty. So far we’ve had a brunch and an afternoon 3 course meal. Portions were large so quite a lot came back with us. Although pricier than some of the other restaurants, it’s still cheaper and excellent value compared to its UK equivalents. We highly recommend. Their carrot alternative to smoked salmon is divine.

We had only 2 mains to go, but the place was crowded, atmosphere was great and the decoration lovely. Food was delicious even though bit pricey. But definetely worth a visit, in peak hours preferably with a reservation.
