The savory food was great! The mac n cheese was da bomb! However, we had the red velvet cake for dessert and that was a bit dissappointing. Weirly sour (I know it is supposed to be a bit sour, but this was not in a good way) and dry on the outside. Might have been just a bad piece though.

I was recommended this place by a colleague and was not disappointed. Super cool vibe and friendly and helpful staff. I had the Mac and cheese and it was delicious. Would recommend.

We went here twice on our trip and both times the food was great as well as the drinks. We tried the jungle laksa, chicken burger and the mac and cheese. All were amazing, but I might add that the mac and cheese was the best I've had. Doesn't seem like you can go wrong with anything here

I had the beetroot burger, my boyfriend had the Mac n cheese, we shared the pizza. Portions were generous so we didn't finish everything. We will definitely go back!

Visited The Hungry Tapir for the first time the other day and thoroughly enjoyed the Nasi Lemak. I loved the lion’s mane rendang and the sambal! I found the truffle mac no cheese special too. Worth the visit!

The Hungry Tapir is a lovely cafe/restaurant, with lovely decor and a great atmosphere. Everything is vegan and there is a wide selection of choices. We had the miso ramen, burger and sweet potato fries, and brownies for dessert. Everything was absolutely delicious! We went back for lunch the next day and had the pancakes and the ‘salmon’ avocado toast, both equally lovely!

Would recommend to anyone, vegan, non-vegan, veggi. The food was really good. We had a Nasi Lamak and a Bahn Mi as well as the Satay. You can also order plenty western food. Drinks and coffee also great! Atmosphere cosy and staff friendly. Dishes cost between 20-40 RM.

The hungry tapir offers a range of more traditional Asian food, which is all vegan! My partner and I ordered the share platter which ranged from foods that were mild to somewhat spicy. We really enjoyed our food and would recommend to any vegans in Kuala Lumpur.

We tried a couple different dishes, overall very satisfied with them all.
The Rainbow Ullam Fried Rice including the dips was great. The burger was good too, only problem, the crisps were exactly what the name says. Veeeery crispy and hard to eat.
The desserts were amazing. The mango ice cream was our favourite and combined well with the chocolate cake or brownie.
Would recommend visiting.

Delicious food, and great to see them quite busy at 9.30pm. Starters of mama's stay sticks and the funky phish cakes, and a Laksa main were generous and delicious. Venue had a cool vibe to it too.
