Best Meal I Have Ever Had - Edit
Unbelievable. I tried to give 5 stars, but Happy Cow did not let me. SO MANY VEGAN OPTIONS! The avocado hollandaise sauce could go on anything and everything. The mimosa's were delicious. The kale was cooked to perfection.

Fantastic food - Edit
What a great find. Clearly marked vegan options on the menu with plenty to choose from. The quinoa avocado salad was amazing. Added tofu which made it a large portion. Only room I had left for was the vegan key lime cheese cake. Oh sooo good!!! The staff was very friendly and attentive. I will come back in 2 days to try some other food.

Not a Happy Vegan/ rude response from management - Edit
I am very disappointed in my to go meal. We ordered the Mahi sandwich and Falafel Sandwich. They were good. We got a side salad and sweet potato fries that were supposed to come with ketchup I requested because the dipping sauce wasn't vegan. The fries were limp and undercooked so I guess I didn't need ketchup. wasted money there. Also ordered 2 orders of the Vegan spring rolls. They were dripping in oil, not sure why. Grease all over our shirts. I usually try to frequent Vegan friendly places when traveling. Not sure where I will eat next time. Definitely disappointed.

Delicious Key Lime Pie - Edit
I only had the vegan key lime pie to-go. I had never tried key lime pie so I had to make sure I had some while in Key West, and it was very good!

Poor service, great food - Edit
The staff should not be in the people serving business. My wife went in to order food to go and couldn’t believe the poor attitude and cold shoulder she received. She said “must be that time of the month for the ladies working in there, it’s horrible service”. I though she was exaggerating so I went in and I could feel the anger in the air. Even the body language was hostile. A server was on the phone with her back to me and a clipboard went flying to the ground from her vicinity, I don’t know if it was accidental or on purpose but she didn’t blink an eye.

Great food, so many vegan options! - Edit
Had falafel and bf had a sandwich! So many options if you’re vegan, even vegan pizza! Great drinks, kombucha, beer, sangria, mimosas, and really creative dishes! Completely recommend this spot because a lot of places in key west only have one or two vegan options, this place makes it easy and delicious!

Lots of vegan options - Edit
A lot of the menu is vegan, or can be made vegan upon request. The menu clearly marks which items are vegan or not. Lots of gluten free options as well. They do charge extra to substitute for vegan cheese on pizzas for example. Their drinks were refreshing and delicious. I ate their tofu tacos which tasted great. Service was a bit slow, perhaps because we were seated outside.

Everything was great! - Edit
Food was great, service was awesome and the carrots cake was heavenly! By the time we got there they had run out of key lime, so get there early if that's what you want. Enjoy!

Nettes RESTAURANT - Edit
Waren Ende 2018 auf Key West und haben dieses Restaurant „gefunden“. Es war sehr nett dort und wir fühlten uns direkt wohl. Die Portionen waren groß, das Essen lecker und wir wurden satt. Top. 👍

The food is amazing. We ate there every day during our trip. - Edit
We went to the Cafe and stayed for dinner as well as ordered in the day after. They have their delivery people. The key lime cheesecake was more than amazing. The vegan sandwich with mushrooms and seitan was amazing too. I am so glad we discovered this place.

Incredible Vegan Thai Food and More! - Edit
The Cafe in Key West is a cute little hipster-ish place located in the heart of Key West on Southard Street. They are not strictly vegan but many vegan options.

We got the gyozo dumplings and were shocked to see they gave us 8 of them! Typically when you order dumplings you’re luck to get 5 but 8 was great! The dumplings were fried and so scrumptious!! The dipping sauce made them even yummier. We were surprised to see they gave a good amount of dipping sauce as well. The Kung Pao “chicken” was delectable and so filling. The tofu was cooked beautiful and so crispy and good. The vegetables were plentiful as well as the brown rice that it was served with.
Service****
The servers were all very friendly. We had two servers and they were quick to greet us, sit us down, and accommodate us right away despite the restaurant being busy. We did not wait for one second, they were very attentive and so friendly!
Atmosphere****
We both loved the rock atmosphere in there and the fact that it felt so East Village, NYC to us. Having lived in NYC for many years it almost felt like we were home. There is plenty of seating and lots of social distancing going on.
Price$$$
Definitely worth it and not bad on the pricing. It could be expensive for those trying to budget but not bad considering the portions.
Pros: Good portions
Cons: Not strictly vegan

They offer about 70% vegan items on menu - Edit
We had a special of the day, BBQ tofu tacos, which I inhaled. The hubby had the seitan sandwich, which is house made BBQ seitan bursting with flavor. It was also the only spot we found vegan key lime pie. We went there 2x as the menu is about 70% vegan.

Best Vegan/Veg For Key West - Edit
I’m bummed that I wasn’t able to eat here until my last day in KW. I was either early or late on previous days. However, glad I made it.
Read moreBest vegan and vegetarian menu in KW. Hands down. Great service, great options, great vibes. They make their own veggie burger unlike everyone else’s frozen hockey puck served around town. Pizza, sandwich, salad, soup and entree options abound and all made in house. Got the veggie with vegan cheese to go for the plane ride home. Wife and I shared the Vegan Key Lime Cheesecake and the Vegan Double Chocolate Cake with some Cuban Coffee Queen coffee. Best coffee in the keys. Christine was our server and she was just lovely. She knew the menu well and was great with suggestions.
Folks, there’s a reason The Cafe is by far the most rated vegan option for KW. Trust the reviews here.
Pros: Vegan options. , Scratch made food. , Great service.
