Go for dinner/dessert - Edit
We went for breakfast and dinner in the same day. We were honestly not wowed by breakfast but it was not bad by any means. The tofu scramble is very heavy on the nutritional yeast so if you don’t like nutritional yeast, beware. Went back for dinner and enjoyed everything we got. Just like most things on the island it was over priced, but the staff in the evening were great. Dessert was phenomenal.

Great vegan options - Edit
Stopped in here for lunch while on a cruise and am so glad we did! I was on the hunt for vegan key lime pie, they have a vegan key lime cheese cake. We got the unwing dings, pepper steak and Swiss, stir fry and chocolate cake and the key lime cheesecake. I will absolutely be coming here again next time I’m in Key West.

great vegan options - Edit
the menu has extensive vegan options, the un-wings were very good. don’t love that everything wasn’t totally vegan, but it was nice to be able to eat there with non-vegan family without them making a stink about it. menu is clearly labeled with what is vegan, and portion sizes were good. service was nice too
Read morePros: clearly labeled menu, good drinks, good portion sizes
Cons: could use more vegan condiments, missing a vegan key lime pie (not cheesecake)

Vegan Key Lime Pie! - Edit
When visiting the keys you have to get a key lime pie. It’s wonderful to have an option for us vegans!! From a Floridian— it was absolutely delicious! I also got the peanut sauce stir fry with tofu. It was a huuuuge and satisfying serving size and packed full of veggies. It needed a bit more sauce and flavor in my opinion, but it was still a very satisfying meal.😄

Absolutely delicious vegan options! - Edit
Absolutely delicious vegan options! We got the Udon Noodle Bowl and the Kung Pao Tofu and Key Lime Pie. Happy Cow only allows up to 4 stars for restaurants that aren’t 100% vegan, but I would give this restaurant 5 stars if I could. Wonderful food, great vibe, friendly service!

MUST visit - Key West - Edit
DELICIOUS! Food was the BEST vegan that we had in Key West area (we tried several other restaurants). We had meatball sandwich, curry chicken wrap, fries, and carrot cake. The BEST carrot cake I have EVER had, so yummy. The chicken wrap was fresh, healthy, filling, and so good. Pricing was on point for the area, compared to other restaurants. Customer service was great, and loved the look and feel of the restaurant. Good location. They had a few desserts to choose from, freshly made juices, and so much more on the menu. I would go back again, and again.

Best vegan food in Key West - Edit
This is really the only place in the hot spot area of Duval Street where you can reliably get a vegan meal - including breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts! Other places had vegetarian but vegan was questionable. Highly recommended!

Awesome spot in Key West! - Edit
I'm so thankful to have found this spot for some good vegan brunch food! They are a pescatarian restaurant, only serving fish as far as meats go. I got the Breakfast Wrap with tofu scramble which was delicious! Just make sure to substitute vegan cheese because the queso on it is not vegan. The girls waitressing were very friendly and accomodating. Their vanilla lavender iced coffee is great too!

Delicious but overpriced - Edit
We came here because it’s the only place that offers vegan key lime pie. We ordered the vegan quesadilla, tofu wrap, and a slice of pie. The food was amazing and the portions were pretty good. However they charge a 20% SERVICE FEE which is just excessive, and the customer service was lacking.

Vegan key lime cheesecake - Edit
Cool interior, staff wasn't super friendly, but maybe it was just an off day for the woman who took my order. My boyfriend and I only tried the vegan key lime cheesecake. We were thankful to find a vegan key lime dessert in Key West! They had other vegan desserts as well. I'm a little disappointed they don't make a key lime pie, because I would have loved something more traditional, too. I didn't love the burnt taste of the torched whipped topping, but I loved the side pineapple sauce and the cheesecake was overall delicious and they brought it out for us quickly to eat at the bar before we bounced. Be warned this is the only place I found that has a vegan key lime dessert. Every place I asked, including Moondog Cafe, which used to have vegan key lime pie, referred us to here.

We ate there once - meatball sub w/vegan cheese and side of bean salad was SO GOOD! Fries were perfect and a lot of them. Portabella sandwich, carrot cake, and chocolate pudding were also really good. I would order everything again.

Pretty good - Edit
Staff was great. Huge selection of things that were vegan, or could be made vegan (currently indicated by a green ⭐️ on the menu). Lots of non-vegan options which the omnivores I went with enjoyed. I got the falafel sandwich special. Asked if it was vegan, and the waitress said it was, but it ended up having feta on it. An honest mistake, no big deal, they remade it, but just make sure you look carefully and call out what you want removed, especially if it’s a special. The eventual dish was good, not great, but I’m used to Goldie’s falafel in Philly which this didn’t come anywhere close to. Only other thing I’ll say is the place has kind of a funky smell, but you get used to it pretty quick. Overall it was a good experience and worth a visit if you’re looking for something where they respect your vegan values.

Many Good Options - Edit
Surprisingly few vegan options in Key West but The Cafe has a good amount of options. Seems unnecessary to offer fish, cheese, etc since there are many other places in town that people can find that and they'd probably stand out more if they were completely plant-based.
Read moreWe had two stir-frys -- one with peanut sauce and noodles, the other with red Thai curry and brown rice. They were very filling and well-made.
Kind of agree with other commenters about the service.
Pros: Very tasty, Interesting decor
Cons: Would be nice to see become completely plant-based

Loved the meatball sub and bf had a salad with blackened tofu that was amazing. Huge and filling. Nice people, nice place. Next time I’d skip the side of beans—not a lot of taste to them—for a salad.

Many options, delicious food - Edit
Pretty extensive vegan selection for both savory food and desserts. I tried their pepper steak sandwich with sweet potato fries and got two desserts to go, key lime pie and coconut cake. Key lime pie tasted like good vegan cheesecake but more tangy, and the cocunt cake was dense and had a nice cocunt flavor. It was delicious and I'll be dreaming about it!
