Unique homely restaurant

All vegan food, a mix of Japanese and Carribbean food in a homely restaurant. The place is quite small but has so much character and the owners/chefs were really lovely.

Pros: Amazing all vegan food, Good value

So delicious!

It’s been several months since I visited Amsterdam and I still think about this place once in a while. The food was absolutely delicious, it was so flavorful and rich that my mouth is watering just as I’m writing about it. The burger was the best (mind that it doesn’t look like a burger but it tastes better than anything I’ve tried, and I’ve eaten lots of good veggie burgers), and if you take it, you absolutely have to take the “cheese” too. Mind that the service is slow, there were only 2 people working there, 1 cooking and the other both taking orders and cooking, so don’t go there if you are in a hurry and remind the staff about yourself if they don’t notice you: they aren’t rude, they just have too much work :).

Pros: Amazing, delicious, flavorful food

Cons: Slow service

Nice food - not sanitary

The food was ok and the selection available random, it just didn't seem to have enough flavor. The man cooking was really nice too. However, unfortunately hair was found in one of the dishes served which obviously wasn't great. I probably wouldn't go back, but if you like something more rustic then you'd probably like it more.

Pros: Friendly team

Cons: Hair found, Food not flavourful

Waited an hour before they told us they didn’t put our order in

While I appreciate that they are trying to make the world a better place, they fulfilled all the stereotypes of a place that wants to do good things in the world but don’t have any business sense. We waited an hour before they told us they had forgotten to put our order in through the kitchen. The place was not the cleanest, either. All that being said, what food we saw being delivered to tables looked and smelled good. (There was one person who didn’t touch their food but I don’t know why.) It looked like the Jamaican plate and Vegan plate were the best options. But that’s based on looks and smell alone as our experience was ruined and we didn’t get a thing. Wait times were long for those who did get food, FYI.

Food looked and smelled nice but we were never served

I really wanted this place to be amazing. Here’s what happened: it was a bit confusing coming in, no one greeted us or seemed to work there. We finally ordered and waited. Service was slow so we were prepared to wait a bit more. After an hour the server said “oh have you not gotten food?” So we left without eating as it would be another 10 mins. I appreciate these things Happen but if they want to stay open they need to invest in some business-minded people. It was pretty dirty inside and understaffed. Please keep doing what you’re doing but realise that cleanliness and efficiency are important even for vegans

Pros: Smelled amazing , Very kind staff (even after mistakes)

Cons: Confusing , Food never came , Dirty

Totally Amazing Burger

My GPS led me in circles before I found this place. I ordered the Burger with Bacon and Cheese. I was pleasantly surprised to see it served open face. It was amazing to the last bite. I plan to return for dinner tomorrow.

Pros: Very filling , Amazing open bun presentation , Amazing open bun presentation

Cons: Nothing at all!

cozy and delicious

I loved this place! The food was amazing and even my meat eating family enjoyed it. If you come here you have to try the fries! they where unlike any other fries I have ever had, I think they where deepfried and then with cinnamon and seaweed and mayo, it may sound wierd but they where so delicious! I can definitely recommend going here with you non-vegan familie if they are not into the fake meats and vegan food trying to be “normal” food because there are a lot of different options! I can also recommend the gyoza plate, which is a plate with fried dumplings, rice and salat, it was very good (although there was cilantro in them so if you don’t like that maybe don’t get that dish)

Pros: the food was so good!!, cozy - I felt like I was in somebody’s livingroom

Cons: quite small so come early

Nice atmosphere

I went there with no-vegan friends and their feedback was very positive. We tried different dishes and the bacon that tasted delicious!
It is a quite place, with nice music, good vibe and very friendly staff.
Price per dish is around 10 - 14 euros more or less.
Worth it to try :)

Vegan junk food

This place serves vegan junk food (in my opinion). The flavors were okay, but the food is fatty and salty. The staff was inexperienced but they were nice. Nice place but I won’t visit again

Pros: Vegan junk food

Best vegan restaurant I've ever been to

This place is awesome. I went one night and ordefed the jamican plate which had just the right amount of spice and the chicken was delicious. I wanted to order the burger too so i went back (tonight) and the burger was the best ive ever eat. Nice vibes in the place with good service. Highly recommend. Much love from Scotland

Pros: The vegan choices are a treat.

Cons: It was reasonable priced for the food.

Healthy and hearty

We ordered the vegan plate (16€) and the jamaican plate (16€). There are cheaper things on the menu. This was kind of the price of a full meal in Amsterdam at all vegan restaurants no matter how healthy or unhealthy. (I found some cheap fast food vegan places in Berlin.) The vegan plate was salad, cooked veggies with a light teriyaki sauce, brown rice and breaded v chkn. A nice flavor was on the chkn. Not sure if these plates change up or not. The jamaican plate was a coconut curry sauce with veggies and gluten chkn, salad with creamy mayo dressing. Perfect amount of dressing.

Ok, so all flavors were amazing. You can get it spicier but ours was not. Portions were great. The one plate filled us up totally. Definitely recommend.

Pros: good portions, great flavor

Excellent food!

We didn't know what to expect from the place before we went. Reviews appeared mixed... our experience was similar. The restaurant is very small, and the seats are in poor condition. The bathroom was a disaster, most likely because of the previous group of patrons, but still - it smelled horrible and was dirty. The decorative plants were dying or dead and the decor is more "middle school bedroom" than "eclectic vegan eatery."

My omni in-laws struggled with ordering, and the young man taking our order got flustered when he brought the wrong dish to our table.

All of these negative things disappeared when the food arrived. Generous portions, reasonably priced and EXCELLENT FOOD!!! I got the burger with cheese and bacon. and the bacon was frighteningly good. My wife and mother in law got avocado salads, which were delicious. My father in law (finally) got his chicken dish (second time around - first order was burned beyond recognition) and he was blown away by the flavor and texture.

I recommend this restaurant with the caveat that you have to know it's a small place with limited seats, so-so decorations and food that is well-worth navigating the above challenges.

Pros: The food. , Did I mention the food?, Friendly patrons at a communal table

Cons: Cleanliness could use an upgrade, Decor could be improved, Clean the bathroom once an hour!

Bons plats

Food is really delicious, staff very friendly, great assortiment on the menu. The location is literally in Amsterdam city centre and the atmosphere is relaxed. I would definitely recommend this place. Only negative side, it is a bit pricey, but quality is top!

Delicious food

Food was great and they had many options! I loved the vegan sushi and the Jamaican plate. I also tried the chocolate cake (though they didn't have my first option which was cheese cake).

That being said, it was a bit on the pricier side for the hippie-ish setting. Place looks a bit dirty and messy and run down. Location is in the center of Amsterdam which is great. Staff was very friendly.

Pros: Great VEGAN food, Many options, Center of Amsterdam

Cons: Pricey, Messy looking restaurant

Food is OK

The people working there were nice, the food was OK (kind of chicken burger), but it was a little chaotic. You could tell they like reggae, but they also adopted the relaxed Jamaican attitude (isn't negative, but not everyone likes it). The place didn't look very clean and my clothes smelled when I left the place (not really an open kitchen, but bad ventilation I guess).

Pros: Nice staff, a lot options to choose from

Cons: Chaotic
