Super tasty & vegan only! - Edit
The restaurant doesn’t look like much, however it has great vegan food! It’s a small menu, but it has a nice variety. The staff is super friendly and provide great service. We’ve been a few times and generally come back for the Bulgogi Tofu Sando - it has tasty marinated tofu, with fresh veggies on a toasty hoagie roll. Yum!
Read moreWe also tried the yakisoba which needed a little extra soy sauce and sriracha to make it even better.
We need to try a few other items next time, especially their salted chocolate cookies!!
Pros: Vegan only!!, Nice variety, Great customer service
Cons: No adult beverages

Thanks for coming in! The cookies are a must try on your next visit!

Good Vegan Sandwiches in Bend - Edit
Friendly small vegan lunch place in Bend. The sesame dijon tempeh sandwich is a delicious 5/5. The chickpea salad sandwich is a small step down but still a solid 4/5. The tofu yakisoba is OK but just one-note flavor of soy sauce and not many vegetables...so 3/5. We actually added more vegetables and sambal oelek to the yakisoba noodles, and it was then much better.
Read morePros: Flavorful sandwhiches, Friendly staff, 100% Vegan
Cons: Yakisoba noodles were just OK.

Good options, good price! - Edit
Stopped by during a weekend in Bend. This fully vegan spot had great sandwiches, perfect for a quick lunch! I do wish sandwiches came with a side offering (that doesn't cost extra), but I loved the sesame dijon tempeh sandwich. My boyfriend enjoyed his bulgogi tofu sandwich, but I thought it could have been more flavorful.
Read morePros: Quick service, Good food, Great price
Cons: Kind of bland, No sides

Thanks for coming in! We offer a small green salad and individual bags of chips as sides. Sold separately because sometimes a sandwich is just enough ;)

The absolute BEST - Edit
I travel a lot, I've taken vegan cooking classes, I've eaten just about everywhere in Central Oregon that is Vegan. This restaurant bar none is truly the best. My biggest fear is this pandemic... do everything you can to support them, staying in business. Vegan in central oregon is actually quite horrible and poorly supported...for those of us committed to the path, please, please, go to my favourite restaurant, eat, and post your reviews, she deserves this recognition!
Read morePros: Excellent limited menu of truly tasty food
Cons: A little more money, maybe...pandemic has, hurt us all.
RootDownKitchen
Thanks so much for your review and support! We are trying to keep prices down but costs are rising everywhere due to the pandemic. Hoping to come out on the other side better and brighter!

Yum! - Edit
Delicious! The menu is simple to read and find what you're looking for in a sandwich. The taste, however, was amazing! Also, they didn't use plastics for the sandwiches, all paper products. Great service and quick.

Cute Spot! - Edit
What a great little spot! Pretty much was the only full vegan place in town so I decided to try them and support them. The owner was super sweet and friendly. The fritters were fantastic with the perfect balance of flavors. That was my favorite. I wasn’t feeling the chickpea salad with the wasabi and curry combo, but will happily support again if I’m around there again.

Fritterful - Edit
Loved the red lentil fritters with the delicious sauces atop a bed of cabbage slaw. The cauliflower tacos were also premium. The yakisoba dish was good as well but would have been better if it had more veggies in it.

Great tasting food! - Edit
The menu is small and the dishes don't come with sides. Which kinda surprises me for a sandwich focused restaurant. But the food is very good. I just couldn't envision eating here often, I would definitely run out of options.

Rich 'Wich - Edit
I got the first sandwich on the menu. I bit down into the handheld sub and juice trickled down my pinky finger. A perfect blend of sauces. The bread was the perfect consistency. The tofu block was marinated and dished out excellently. Before I knew it I had finished my first half. I offered a bite to my girlfriend. I watched her with intense jealousy as she opened her mouth wide and took a prime bite of the good stuff. I quickly took my sandwich back and whispered in its imaginary ear "I'll never do that to you again". Alas, my meal was done. I sat on my stool watching the birds swoop and turn as I remembered all the good times I had with my sandwich. You will never be forgotten.
