Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Vegetarian since high school after figuring out eating meat was the cause of my migraines. Vegan 10 years later-health and moral issues, with loving influence from a wonderful group of friends (and Diet for a New America).
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
Have used the site for the past 2 years as a travel aid for work. After meeting my cosmic twin, the webmaster, felt my duty to my new brother to actively participate.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
Loved: Paris & Chamonix (France), San Cristobol de la Casas (Mexico), Big Horn Mountains, the 'bayou' (area by our previous home in Oldsmar, Fl), any waterfall train in Oregon we've hiked so far, and ancient/old growth forest One Day: Macchu Picchu, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, England, Ireland, Japan
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
My vegan versions of calzone, lasagne, sushi (teriyaki mushroom avacado roll, blackened tofu w/ cucumber and dill sauce, 1-2-3-4-5-6 veg roll), seitan wellington with mashed potatoes, beigan bharta, channa masala. raw: wild rice dolmas, sunflower pate, 'tuna' rolls, zucchini hummus, red pepper crackers
