Great Takoyaki! - Edit
We are vegan and allergic to gluten. Until now, there were no vegan takoyaki around Namba and Shinsaibashi stations. We had given up on trying the local cuisine, but we have found the one and only takoyaki.
Read moreIt was wonderful. We ordered the takoyaki plate and the 1500 yen kushikatsu, both of which are vegan and gluten-free. The takoyaki is made with soybeans instead of wheat flour, so it is very healthy and hearty. Drinks are only 200 yen and you can make your own. My friend was pleased with the wide variety of scotch and bourbon. Gluten free beer is also available for 200 yen. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend even if you are not a vegetarian/vegan! It's the best Gluten-free food Takoyaki 680 yen I've had in Japan and the drinks are only 200 yen.

Read moreWe came here during a quick stop in Osaka Namba, so it came in handy that this place is close to Shinsaibashi station. Coming here lifted my entire mood and you can’t beat 200 yen drinks. Takoyaki is cheap at 680 yen.

If you are down for healthy option ototako makes its batter from okara, the byproduct of tofu, and it’s very delicious.

The only place in Osaka. It is located in Shinsaibashi, so access is easy.

This restaurant gave us the option of eating Vegan takoyaki. The takoyaki are priced at a whopping 680 yen.

Grunge 90s music, small funky place with glitterball and self-service drinks. Friendly owner/chef working hard to make delicious vegan balls and some sides. Highly recommend this place to solo travellers or couples. Takeaway also available.
