Great Takoyaki! - Edit
We are vegan and allergic to gluten. Until now, there were no vegan takoyaki around Namba and Shinsaibashi stations. We had given up on trying the local cuisine, but we have found the one and only takoyaki.
Read moreIt was wonderful. We ordered the takoyaki plate and the 1500 yen kushikatsu, both of which are vegan and gluten-free. The takoyaki is made with soybeans instead of wheat flour, so it is very healthy and hearty. Drinks are only 200 yen and you can make your own. My friend was pleased with the wide variety of scotch and bourbon. Gluten free beer is also available for 200 yen. Highly recommended.
Pros: affordable, All Vegan Menu Also suitable for gluten-free, Cool Place

Life saver when arriving late at night - Edit
We arrived in Osaka much later than we had hoped and were glad to see that there was a vegan place still open. Great first impression of Osaka. Amazing food and a completely different feel to the rest of Japan. Very rough and ready.

Mediocre food, cramped space - Edit
This was not the place for me. We ordered kushikatsu and two versions of takoyaki, one with the standard sauce and the other with spicy sauce and vegan cheese. The takoyaki was served with miso soup and a red cabbage salad as well - the soup was really tasty.
Read moreThe takoyaki was quite burned. I'm not sure if it's supposed to have a kind of caramelised or charred effect, but it did just taste like it was burned. That was the predominant flavour, as the standard sauce was unremarkable and the balls themselves were very bland. Inside they had a texture that was reminiscent of veggie fingers - soft potato and small pieces of carrot and pea. The spicy sauce added some flavour, but the cheese was unremarkable.
The kushikatsu was ok. The mushrooms were juicy and flavoursome.
It's a very small and crowded spot, which is not really what I wanted after a hot and tiring day out and about. You are really squeezed in with other people. It was especially difficult to reach the drinks station. As far as we could see, the only soft drink was water. There were a few syrups you could add and a sign promoting the creation of mocktails, but we couldn't see any base or elements besides these, so if you're not drinking alcohol the options are poor.

Neat! - Edit
Super cool concept! I never got to eat takoyaki before going vego when i was 20 like 10 years ago now so it was neat to be able to experience it. My partner assured me that it’s very close to what takoyaki is really like, personally I just found them to be enjoyable dough balls, not super special but nice to eat in a quick pinch. The restaurant had decent portions, the food came out very quick. My partner got the classic and I got the ketchup-mayo sauce mix, which was a little strong in flavour but still pretty good! Would defs go back and try the other flavours

Great place to eat for a mixed family vegan / vegetarian with picky kids. We all found food we enjoyed. The atmosphere was relaxed. A quirky place. All the vegan options were well labelled on the menu. We loved it here.

So glad to be able to try takoyaki and it was delicious. We had the spicy and original and enjoyed both. We also had the kushikatsu which was just okay compared to the takoyaki!

I didn’t really love the food to be honest—too soft and kinda bland. But killer and fun vibe. Fun making my own drinks. No line when we went!

Such a great experience in this tiny gem of a place. One girl running the show, you order at the counter as you go in and find a place to squeeze in. Atmosphere lovely. Drinks are self service. Food gorgeous as others have said. Get there early, there was a queue forming as we left. Must be tried!

Great vegan takoyaki in Osaka (I preferred the spicy item). Cash preferred but cards accepted for certain orders. Relaxed environment and portions were generous.

I have no idea what Takoyaki is or how is supposed to be but this was very tasty. If you fancy trying it, go for it. Make sure you're okay with gooey textures. The woman running it is super lovely and the vibe of the place is pretty cool!

Not bad! - Edit
Good restaurant, and good food overall. Never had takoyaki before, and didn’t know what it was. It’s got a VERY SOFT almost raw texture that was new to me (I like crispy/crunchy foods). Still ate about half of the takoyaki. The meal was very filling.

Best vegan takoyaki. Osaka takoyaki is creamier than Tokyo, but still worth trying. Made without Wheat. Gluten free vegan friendly. Amazing options. Small shop. AmaZing service. A MUST go to place.

Lovely vegan takoyaki in a friendly, cool setting. If you order kashikatsu and get a red-tipped skewer you also get a free drink. Couldn’t get enough of the vegan mayo - all-round fab.

Long wait for a osaka classic - Edit
If you have never experienced the famous Takoyaki as a vegan then for sure visit this place as the food is quite good and i was so happy to be able to have this as a vegan how ever wait time was very long and the space while I get the vibe is "cool"..for anyone not in their 20s or younger the last thing you want after walking around osaka all day is to stand or eat shoulder to shoulder in a tight area... prepare to be uncomfortable for a good food experience.
