The very best cook in Santander - Edit
La parada de San Martín is the only vegetarian in Santander, is in the city center and it's very cheap (you can eat a meal 13€ each). My favourites plates are the salad, the carrot puree, and the lasagne.

Very pleasant and calm place with nice, non-invasive music. The Ensaladilla Rusa was absolutely the best salad I've ever had and the Chilli sin carne great. But the second dishes not so much. Burger was dry, searved with some potatoes with no bun or any other vegetables or sauce. Lasagne better but had some kind of sweet taste like there weren't spices at all.

The price (13€) includes two dishes and dessert, but we where full after second dish so we haven't order it but have to pay for it anyway. Eco-craft beer - very good and refreshing.
Pros: the best Ensaladilla Rusa ever, good eco-craft beer, nice atmosphere

I visited last week for lunch and the food was delicious. The restaurant was quite busy so I had to wait for a table but it was worth the wait! The menu of the day only cost 13€ (starter, main and dessert) which was extremely well priced considering the freshness and tastiness of the food! The waitress was extremely busy but still provided excellent service and was very friendly. I can’t rate this place highly enough, really worth a visit. I would recommend booking a table though! Un restaurante excelente, toda la comida fue deliciosa y fresca. La camarera fue muy simpática también. Lo recomiendo a todo!

Owner was very nice and she did everything she could to translate to english cos she couldnt speak a word. She used google translator instead 🙂 food was good, not amazing but it felt like a homemade from your mom :)

100% vegano pero con margen de mejora - Edit
Llegamos a las 12.25 un sabado y nos dijeron que estaba cerrado, apareciendo en la web y en Google que abrian a las 12. Cuando volvimos 10 minutos mas tarde nos preguntaron que queriamos antes de bajar las escaleras, obviando lo evidente, pues veniamos a consumir.
Read moreUna vez dentro y tras esperar unos minutos a ver si nos ofrecian sentarnos nos resumieron el menu, variado eso si, 13 euros con 4 opciones para cada primero, segundo y postre, sin incluir bebidas. Tampoco nos dieron posibilidad de pedir de carta y no tenian opciones de zumos naturales.
Pedimos frijoles con nachos, verduras asadas, pastel de berenjenas y lasagna de seitan. Salvo la lasagna, congelada, todo fue calentado en microondas. No solo por el sonido del microondas junto a la barra, sino por el sabor, olor y la textura de la comida, en especial de las verduras. Destacaria la lasagna de seitan y el postre de flan de algarroba. Lamentablemente ibamos con un poco de prisa (nunca recomendable, eso es cierto) y cuando llegamos solo habia una persona ocupandose de reservas, barra, cocina y mesa. Al final, con una compañera mas se esforzaron en atendernos lo mas rapido que podian, pero lo ideal es poder dar un buen servicio con prevision de tener mas de una mesa ocupada desde el momento de apertura. Luces y sombras. No creo que repita. Deseo que si lo hago algun dia me pueda comer mis palabras.

We had lunch here with our 1year old. Not only does the lovely owner manage to cook and serve all by herself but she is the nicest person and even brought our daughter toys and made fun with her!
Read moreThe place offers a 3 course set menu including a drink for just 13€. You could chose from 3 different options for every course. The food was very rich and filling. This is not the typical all healthy, tiny portions macrobiotic vegan posh place but feels like your mum started cooking vegan!
We definitely recommend going here!

Such an amazing selection of tasty vegan food. We had the set menu which was utterly delicious, pumpkin soup, lasagne, chocolate pudding and we took away some cake. Full and very happy. The owner is incredibly welcoming and chatted with us throughout our visit. Sadly the place was quite quiet - it should have been packed given the quality of the food.

Restaurante vegetariano. Para nosotros perfecto. Fuimos un martes, los lunes cierran por descanso del personal. Llegamos pronto porque estábamos de viaje y estaban terminando de hacerlo todo, tuvimos que esperar un poco, pero mereció la pena por comer casero y recién hecho. Allí no hay carta para elegir, es el menú 12€ y tienen varias opciones de primeros, segundos y postres. Las cantidades son buenas, será difícil que te quedes con hambre. La lasaña de seitán buenísima y el flan de algarroba fabuloso. Todo muy bueno y buena atención. Preferible hacer reserva porque es pequeñito. Todo estaba muy limpio. En nuestro viaje por el norte nos fuimos muy contentos de encontrar este lugar.

Hello, It is NOT vegan, it has vegan options. Just look at the images I posted to see what I saw. The people there was very nice but the food inedible. My standards of food are a lot higher. The restaurant Vegano Azul is in a village close to Santander called Suances and that is a proper Vegan restaurant with an actual chef and organic and fresh products.

I feel sorry for the owners of this place as you can see their good intentions but it really is a kitchen nightmare kind of place. I don't; even know where to start. They couldn't even tell me if the place was vegan or vegetarian in the first place. The place looks dirty, tacky and greasy. The food is just inedible. No organic, no fresh, no trained chef...
Read moreI feel bad being so harsh but I don't want other vegans to have the same shocking experience we had. The only real vegan option in around 100 km around this restaurant is Vegano Azul in Suances. It is totally worth the trip over. I hope this helps.

This used to be an ovo-lacto vegetarian restaurant. Now they have evolved into vegan and with very nice results. Very open minded owner who listens to customers in order to offer a more attractive range of food.

Amazing Vegetarian restaurant in Santander. Most Vegetarian dishes but the chef/owner is Vegan and was really helpful in explaining which ones were suitable for vegans. We liked it so much we went back the next day. Staff are super friendly too, highly recommend!
