Serves meat, vegan options available. American breakfast, brunch, and lunch restaurant with a few outlets in Greater San Diego.
Vegans could get the breakfast fruit bowl and the ying yang dish (minus the dairy); a lunch wrap with tofu, a salad, or a brown rice & veggies wok. Ask about the day's soup. Has plant milk for coffee and shakes. Open Mon-Sun 7:30am-2:30pm.

Many vegan options - Edit
Many of the none vegan options can be veganized. Food is tasty. Having a separate vegan menu could be helpful.
Read morePros: A few vegan options and many that can be veganized, Relatively inexpensive , Good and fast service

Pretty good (limited) vegan selections, great location - Edit
We've eaten here twice in Jan. 2024. While a generally positive atmosphere, experience, etc., service was very slow one time, excellent the other.
Read moreFor "real" vegan food (IMHO, pancakes, & acai bowls, fruit bowls, etc., do not count!), there's only a couple of wraps (& one wrap must be ordered without its dressing to be vegan).
For a place to dine with one's omnivore friends, the Naked Cafe chain are some of the better local choices & better food than at least one or more (sad to say) local vegan only restaurants! (Of course, only dine here *if* one is not put off by seeing, smelling, cut up steak tenderloins on one's table). ;-)
Pros: fresh ingredients with veggies being prominent , appealing location near beach, omnivore menu items (I know few fellow vegans!)
Cons: limited vegan items, seating & service can be slow, appearance, smell of some items may be off-putting

Great spot! - Edit
They had several vegan options on the menu-bowls, scrambles, etc. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Able to modify other nenu options to make them vegan. My bowl was huge and delicious! Lovely patio setting. Dog friendly.

impressive vegan options - Edit
this menu was so versatile! they were able to make almost everything into a vegan version if needed, and there were so many different dishes to choose from. definitely would recommend for brunch near san diego with non-vegan friends

Pretty good :) - Edit
I really enjoyed my meal. They have a sides option which makes it easy for people to create a plate with vegan options. Their menu also states that they are very accommodating to changing dishes to make it vegan. The only thing is when I ordered beans it came with cheese on top which I removed. I would specify to them to make it completely vegan.

modified pancakes - Edit
i ordered a tree hugger pancake (mango and coconut pancake) with their vegan/gluten free batter and found it to actually be pretty good! i’ve had some poor luck with pancakes, and i will admit this one was a little dry, but overall a good pancake.
Read morei saw a lot of other options that were able to be modified on the menu as well; however, i did not try them at this time.
Pros: menu items can be modified
Cons: panckaes were kind of dry

AMAZING!! - Edit
This food was delicious, pretty cheap, everything was so customizable to be vegan and the food came out 3 minutes after being ordered! I love that it’s all whole foods too. I got the burrito and almost couldn’t finish it. I could have done without the Bl he Planet Latte but glad I tried it! Plenty of seats too and right by the water. Also great alcoholic drink options! If I lived in the area I would come here all the time

Delish So-Cal fare with hidden V options - Edit
This is our second time at Naked Cafe and forgive me, but I devoured my plate both times before I took a proper photo.
Read moreThough you'll likely have to wait, it's worth it. The cafe sits just over the hilly crest of Solana beach and offers spicy Mexican-inspired breakfast options. While some items on the menu are specifically marked vegan, so many are very easily vegan with one or two modifications.
Today's brunch for us consisted of the whole grain blueberry pancakes and the Ying-Yang dish. My husbands pancakes were magnificently large and had such a distinct cinnamon flavor under the blueberries. Pipping hot and so wonderful! My Ying yang dish consisted of potatoes, beans, soyrizo, avocado, and salsa. Simple yet well-prepared, the perfect breakfast for a savory eater like me.
Pros: near the beach , pancakes are incredible!
Cons: wait line can be long, parking can be hard
