More About Me
Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Anytime we go against nature, we create discord and disrupt harmony in our body and lives. Life is hard enough, why on earth would we make it harder on ourselves by eating meat and dairy?
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
I travel quite often, am a foodie, and own a vegan food publication. Happy Cow is my go-to to find incredible food when I'm on the road, because I refuse to eat blocks of GMO tofu and apples just because I'm travelling and can't cook. That, and again, FOODIE.
Here are some places I've been that I liked... and places that I would like to visit one day:
PORTLAND!! Portland is the Plymouth Rock of vegan dining. San Fran is great, but I found the vegan options a little over rated. New Orleans has incredible, authentic Creole vegan dining- make sure you hit the Gumbo Shop! Chicago has an Uptons Natural cafe as part of their factory, order the bacon mac and cheese as well as the Korean tacos. I would love to get to Austin, Salem, and Seattle in the near future.
Some of my favorite veg*n foods include:
Potatoes. Potatoes are LIFE. Anything with Virgin Cheese (artisan cheese brand). And small, greek markets that offer sensational tabouli.
