Reasons why I prefer to eat vegetarian or vegan:
Reasons to be vegan include the usual ethical, philosophical, medical, and nutritional ones. There is simply no need to eat animals or animal parts.
I joined HappyCow Members Community because:
VERY nice way to learn about new places to go to in new locales. I appreciate the reviews, too, and try to write helpful ones as well (i.e., community).

Here are some books, movies, magazines, and my favorites that I would recommend to other HappyCow members:
"Diet for a New America" (John Robbins) convinced me as a vegetarian to become a vegan. He has written many more books since.
