Amazing honest food!

So delicious and such a chilled cool place. The fact they only have 4 main courses (burgers) on the menu is great because they do them so well! And us vegans are used to having no choice at all anyway! Had the bran burger and chickpea balls... soooooo yummy. Definitely recommend.

Delicious food made by lovely staff

I have gone back many times already. I have tried the entire menu. Everything is super-delicious. It is hard to choose my fav burger. I am leaning towards the aubergine one because I love the "marine" taste. The portions are huge. Staff is so lovely.

Pros: Yummy food, Lovely staff, Good location

Cons: Gets crowded at times on weekends

Massive burgers!!

Really tasty food!
We shared a 'what's your beef?' quinoa and black bean burger, and a fillet-om-fish battered aubergine burger, with cheesy sweet potato fries
The burgers were really big and pretty messy to eat - I wouldn't go there if I was with someone I wanted t to impress!! They were both delicious though, and came with a good mix of toppings and sauces
The sweet potato fries were really good too, although next time I wouldn't bother with the cheese (it wasn't that great and wasn't melted)

I didn't have dessert, but people next to me had ordered brownies, which looked huge and really good!

We were there on Saturday lunchtime, and it was really crowded. It is only a small venue with long bench tables that they squeeze people onto. Getting there early is probably a good bet!

Looking forward to going back again soon!!

Pros: Delicious burgers, Good choice of options

great junk vegan

I ordered this as takeaway one lonely Friday evening and it really hit the spot. Normally don't like vegan cheese but their cheesy chips were great and the burger was very tasty. Will return here when I next need a junk hit!

I found jackfruit!

I've been wanting to try this place and it didn't let me down! Pulled jackfruit burger was exactly what I'd been looking for, Try it with caramelized onions! The chickpea bites were delightful too and tasted like mini, moist falafel bites.

Service was great. I'll definitely be back here.

OH and the market just a couple doors down actually sells jackfruit in cans, something else I haven't been able to find. Bonus!

Can't praise this place enough (not really a reviews person either)

I've been to Mooshies three times in the past few months: never disappointed by their inventive menu offerings (so much that it's honestly kind of hard to try everything, you really want to keep coming back and picking the same things). Notably their take on a fish fillet burger features a patty made out of aubergine: I was a little skeptical of that, but it honestly all works absolutely perfectly (it's super juicy), especially with the tartar sauce. The pulled pork burger is my second pick so far and also really wonderful, if a little messy (although honestly a lot of good food is, right?). The only thing I have close to a complaint would maybe be that I don't feel the type of cheese used on the cheesy fries works very well, though this could be personal preference, and on the other hand of this I do find the general selection of other toppings/sauces this place offers manages to be pretty plentiful. Customer service is super wonderful, the staff are really nice and usually take the time to ask how your meal is/was, so even if the place can be a little pricey (as are most vegan places in London) I'll always be willing to try and sell it to people :)

different and delightful if a bit decadent!

And I only say decadent because like almost everything new hip and vegan this place is not for those short of cash. But the burgers are made of different fillings to the usual and the "fish" one I had was excellent. Nice crispy sweet potato fries as an extra side ( but at £3.50 they aught to be!) I'll be back to try the other burgers. ?

Pros: interesting imaginative menu., vegans on brick lane!, friendly and helpful staff

Cons: a tad pricey, not big selection to choose from

Nice little place, good burger

Nice informal place, and the burger tasted great (though it didn't have much of a "bite" to it).

Pros: Nice informal place, no b.s.

So happy that this place is in walking distance from where I live. Went for the first time the other night, my brother and I had the 'Pulled Mooshie' and my mum had the 'What's Your Beef' black bean burger - everything was delicious and the chickpea bites were amazing! Will go back again and again. Also the staff as SO friendly :)

Pros: Very very tasty, Great value , Lovely staff

great food and service

I had the qui so burger which was very delicious. What I really liked here was that they seemed to strike a really good balance between a relaxed atmosphere and good customer service. The two people who were working when we were there last night were super helpful without being overbearing and I thought that the lady working the tables was lovely and very quick to top up waters and clear tables. :) not too busy but enough people to give it a nice vibe

Awesome burgers and cupcake!

I had a 'Pulled Mooshie' (jackfruit burger) with cheesy sweet potato fries and they both tasted delicious, definitely better than the mock meat burgers. I also had their new cupcakes by Vida - the mocha one and it was really tasty too! The staff were so friendly too and I'll definitely have to come back and try the other burgers

Great addition to Brick Lane

I also had the signature Mooshie. Delicious. As another reviewer said, rather messy to eat so perhaps they should supply knives and forks. I also sampled a vegan pale ale which went really well with the burger. Very friendly and helpful staff who gave me a complementary cupcake.

Highly recommended.

Pros: Delicious burgers, Friendly staff, Welcoming atmosphere

Finally - an amazing vegan burger option

This has made it into my list for office lunches for sure. Tried the pull mooshie, i love jackfruit but wouldn't believe you could imitate a perfect pulled pork from it. It was a bit messy to eat, the fillings with coleslaw dripped from every angle but that just goes to show how much filling you get! Was admittedly a bit disappointed in the cheesey fries, the cheese wasnt melted though it was good vegan cheese.
Will be back to try the fish!

Pros: Excellent burgers

Fillet-om-Phish is Life!

Came here last week with my partner, I'm SO happy to see a place that does delicious plant-based burgers (so over soy and fake meat processed-junk). The fillet-om-phish was unbelievably good, can't believe they managed to get aubergine to taste like fish! It was so delicious we had to buy a second one.

I got the pulled jackfruit burger and I have to be honest, I think I prefer my own version of this, I use a lot more marinade (bbq sauce + spices and brown sugar) and dried out a little bit. It was a bit lacking in sauce and the fruit was too moist, I prefer it a bit chewier and more well-done. We met the owners and they were lovely (they also allow dogs in here, which is good to know and they made a big fuss over our boy), so am definitely looking forward to going back and trying the other burgers they have on the menu.

Pros: Most incredible fillet o'fish, Really nice atmosphere, decor and friendly owners, dogs allowed

Cons: jackfruit one could've been more well-done, Cheesy chips were a bit dry, couldve been chunkier

Hi Sundal! Thank you so much for the review and for the feedback, it is greatly appreciated as we are new so all feedback is needed so we can improve on anything we are lacking. Thank you also for the advise on the jackfruit! We are always trying to improve our recipes and the jackfruit burger is one we will look into improving. See you soon! x
