Get the cheese sticks!!!

I don't really like burgers. I would come here again. That should say something about this place!

In the heart of Brick Lane, Mooshies has to fend off competition from the nearby Boiler room, but offers an interesting and delicious alternative to the street food stalls, especially if you want to be inside somewhere warm.

The mozzarella sticks are amazing! And my friend got the bhaji burger which was sooooo good! Another friend got the pulled jackfruit, which was pretty good. The aubergine burger looked fantastic as well. Nice staff and free wifi, with lots of free condiments. I would highly recommend!

Pros: Taste, Choice, Location and service

Cons: Not too much healthy stuff on the menu

great fast food and cool vibe

The food was delicious though but we came in a busy hour and our fries were forgotten. When we finally caught the (one) waiter which was very busy, it was forgotten again, and eventually we received a refund. We have much patience for vegan places, and we weren't angry or anything, but I think service in such hours can be a bit better. Other than that the place has a very good vibe.

Pros: yummy big burgers (and other options), cool vibe, not expensive

Cons: Service can be slightly improved, Karma cola

big burgers

stopped here while visiting London and struggles to finish my food due to it being HUGE. enjoyed he delicious sour beer which helped to wash down the bhaji burger and cheesy sweet potato fries. once again a menu which is limited but all the better for it. four burger of which we had three and everyone loved it. good value fast food. In London again and a second visit. Good value and all that but just not quite right. Small menu, good siZe but using things like McCain's sweet potato fries is pretty low quality. How hard is it to buy sweet potatoes, cut them , fry them?

Pros: 100% v, value

Jumping jackfruit

Had the most amazing pulled jackfruit burger here today. Small place, maybe a little dark and cramped but the freshly cooked food and friendly staff more than made up for that. Can't wait to go back and try the other burgers!

Pros: Vegan burger shop, what's not to like?

Cons: Silly name

Best burger I've had

I had the gluten-free bhaji burger and it was the nicest burger I've ever had. It was spicy, a little bit sweet, crunchy and just all round awesome. My husband had the Classic jackfruit burger - he said the BBQ flavour wasn't pronounced enough, but was still nice. I agree with the review below that the sides are a bit over-priced - the cheesy sweet potato chips were really nice and crispy but £4.50 is a bit much. The staff also seem really nice, the young guy who served us was really helpful and friendly. Only other con is that the seating is mostly long-ish bench tables, which would comfortably fit 2 separate couples with a gap between, or 6 people who know each other - but we ended up with another 5 people we didn't know sitting on our table and it was a bit too weirdly intimate, especially when eating messy food.

Pros: Brilliant burgers

Cons: Seating layout

nice place but

A nice place - atmosphere, aesthetics - with an interesting range of burgers. We ordered two backfiring burgers which were fine but messy and a little underwhelming - non-vegan friend didn't like her burger, and hence disappointed after spending £11 on a burger and chips.
Reasonable prices for most dishes, but sides are pretty overpriced - good sweet potato chips but not worth £3.50 for the portion size. The bread of the burgers also wasn't the best - very floury.
Soho's Vegan Hippo still does the best jackfruit burger in London.

Pros: interesting menu

Cons: overpriced , underwhelming

Disappointed

I was surprised the pattys are cooked from frozen, and was not surprised when they tasted like frozen produce: anyone expecting a fresh filling, where the taste of the patty is more important than the sauce, will be disappointed. Get your ketchup out for this basic fast food blandness. And it all fell apart in my hands anyway.
I'd be totally accepting of this (there's a place for animal free fast food) if the prices weren't so astronomical! Burgers come without sides unless you fork out for those too, and with a drink the total price was what you expect for a decent sit down dinner. But the reality was we were cramped together on tiny benches in a place who's decor was shabby with no chick. Worth trying if you're a fast food addict, if your more of a fresh food person, I'd find another option :)

Hi, Sorry you were disappointed in your experience with us. But just FYI we make all our burger patties, sauces and sides fresh, every single day in house. We work very hard to do this and provide our customers with fresh, ethical, tasting food the best we can.

Deliciousness delivered

I ordered the What's Your Beef? burger and homemade guacamole with chips to be delivered. The menu says tortilla chips but I don't think that's what they were - I'm not sure exactly they seemed like part way been potato chips and banana chips but they were really nice so it didn't matter.
The burger itself was really good! The pickles added a bit of bite against the rich sauce and cheese. It was a little messy to eat but that's pretty normal for a burger.
The guacamole was pretty good too but might have been improved with a squeeze of lime juice and a touch of salt.
Overall I would recommend and I'll probably be back for more.

Pros: Great flavour, Good range of dishes, Good value

Cons: Guacamole needed a bit of lime and/or salt, Bread was a bit chewy

Great food!

Updated to reflect my second visit.

Firstly, this vegan restaurant is selling non-vegan alcohol/non-alcoholic drinks. They know this but it doesn't seem to be an issue for them - so make sure you check what you buy. Vegan should be vegan no matter what.

Secondly, while the food is fantastic, the girl serving seemed to be completely clueless about the allergen ingredients, thus making it very difficult for my friend to order.

Overall a great experience and fantastic food - I would prefer a plate rather than a plastic basket, and the prices reflect the gentrification of the East End, but it's local to me and therefore a good addiction to the growing list of vegan options.
