Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly Restaurant Near USJ - Edit
We went to Matsuri directly from USJ. Easy to reach, just take JR 3 stops from USJ, and only 7-minute-walk from Nobe Station. They have a one separate menu book for vegetarians n vegans, so amazing! We can choose any food without worrying whether it contains fish flakes and non vege broth. Vegetarian Takoyaki is our most most most fav one!

Vegan lunch - Edit
We had the vegan curry ramen, takoyaki, okonomiyaki and fish shaped pancake with red bean. They were delicious. The curry ramen was amazing and our favourite even after having t’s tan tan in Tokyo! Would recommend for any vegans or vegetarians in Osaka.

Terrible! - Edit
Went with high hopes to try some veg versions of Osaka ‘staples’. Ordered what was suppose tempura (I’m guessing) and it was like bad fish and chip shop. We also ordered the Takayaki (veg version) which were inedible! Big soggy mess with a terrible texture and tasted terrible. My husband (who eats meat) ordered the ramen and didn’t finish his either, said it was bland and no ingrediants. Staff didn’t seem interested and bad vibes in here

Pros: Whole vegetarian menu
Cons: Tasted terrible, Bad vibe, Out of the way

Disappointed - Edit
Had the vegan okonomiyaki and it was really sloppy, didn’t taste great. The only good thing was the sauce and mayo. Small portions, service took a long time.

Pros: opciones veganas a buen precio, hablan inglés

Tasty Veggie Food - Edit
I really enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. It was so nice to try food that is well known in Osaka but is not available for vegetarians. I particularly recommend their veggie version takoyaki. So good!
Read moreSuper friendly atmosphere too. Really recommend.
I would have given them 5 stars but for some weird reason this website only gives them for fully vegan/veggie restaurants. I have no problem eating somewhere that serves meat as long as they don’t serve it to me so this is a weird rule.
Pros: Food, Atmosphere , Location

Delicious Osaka Cuisine, Veg Style - Edit
After arriving in Osaka, I was desperate to find a place that my non-vegan partner and I could both try famous and iconic Osaka cuisine. We both love Japanese food and wanted to get a true taste of "The Kitchen of Japan". Matsuri perfectly satisfied these needs, giving us authentic local cuisine, with DELICIOUS vegan versions for me to try! I got the vegan okonomiyaki, a food I'd been dying to try, and it was ridiculously good and very inexpensive!! The portion was huge and super filling. I'd love to come back while we're here to try the takoyaki! The staff was very friendly and warm, and the server spoke extremely fluent English. The restaurant is also Halal/Muslim friendly, so it was wonderful to see such an inclusive dining experience. A total can't miss in Osaka!
Read morePros: Excellent vegan versions of Osaka classics, Very friendly and accommodating staff, Inexpensive and filling

5 stars for a non vegan place???!!! - Edit
I could not speak more highly of my visit. Many vegan options from a separate vegan menu in a halal restaurant. The okonomiyaki was spot on and the taiyaki was impressive and scrumptious. The kushikatsu was awesome! Overall you get Osakan delicacies made vegan done right. A must go to!

A place to eat your dream vegan Konamono foods. - Edit
It’s hard to find in japan, places to eat okonomiyaki and kushiyaki that are vegan. I was fortunate enough to find it here. If you have been craving these konamono foods I think you are looking at the best place.

Authentic Japanese Food Made Vegan - Edit
I came here for dinner with a friend and we tried the okonomiyaki, vegetable kushikatsu, and sesame ramen. It was all really good! Apparently the okonomiyaki was gluten-free also, but I never would have guessed. The staff are super friendly also. I’d recommend visiting if you want to eat real Japanese food without animal ingredients, or if you’re vegan and want to introduce Japanese cuisine to non-vegan friends and family who are visiting Japan!

Great vegan menu - Edit
Cute little place, have a separate vegan menu with lots of options and great prices. Waitress was very friendly and spoke good English. I tried the Okonomiyaki (Japanese 'pizza'), and at first I thought it wasn't vegan because the mayo tasted so 'real' and the soymeat was such a good texture! Quite a stodgy meal and very filling so would recommend going if you are quite hungry! Not my favourite Japanese dish so far but worth a try and it is a traditional Osaka dish.
