We arrived in the city quite late and were looking for a place to eat after 10pm. We ended up here as the restaurant was still open and it was a pleasant surprise. The food was really tasty and the service very good. They have quite a few vegan options- I had the croquettes fauxmage with vegan cheese and vegan meatballs in a nice onion and beer sauce. Only down point: fairly expensive, but I guess it’s normal considering the location.

Traditional Belgian restaurant with multiple vegan options - Edit
I was pleasantly surprised finding this place, because it is a traditional restaurant, serving local specialties, but also has a designated vegan menu. I tried the vol au vent, that had tofu in it. Honestly the taste of the dish was not superspecial, but I loved the effort and places like these make travelling with other non-vegan people so much more easy.

I once went there on a Monday (lunchtime), and it was rather quiet, while it probably gets busy and stressful on weekends.

The staff was friendly and helpful.

I had the vol au vent which originally is a sauce with a puff pastry. Here they only serve the sauce(!) in a vegan variation with fries. Honestly to me that is super weird. Who wants to eat a sauce as a main?! it was a bit boring in taste as well

Good vegan options in a perfect setting - Edit
A traditional Belgian restaurant set right on Grand Place. We were lucky enough to get a little table upstairs by the window and it was a beautiful spot to watch the square below. They had a variety of vegan options including nuggets, a burger, lasagne and meatballs. I went for the vegan vol au vent and really enjoyed it. It was lovely to see a local dish veganized because sometimes you can feel like you're missing out when you're travelling. The vol au vent came with a generous portion of delicious fries. A little expensive maybe but I think you can expect to pay a little more given the location. I'd definitely recommend.

J'ai goûté les nuggets vegan qui étaient très bon (les œufs sont mentionnés comme allergen mais après vérification il n'y en a pas.) Vol au vent vegan pour le plat avec frites. Copieux, gourmand et simple. Ravie d'avoir goûté !

It’s an expensive tourist trap with a few good vegan options. I wanted the tartine but it wasn’t available. He recommended the burger but I had already had a burger that day. Decided to have meatballs which are in fact falafel. The sauce was nice which they came in. I commend them for having clear vegan options which not many omni restaurants have in Brussels.

I would recommend this place if you’re needing to go somewhere in the area with non-vegan people. Like the bio says, the staff doesn’t really understand what veganism is, even though there are vegan items on the menu. So just make sure that you emphasize the word vegan so they can relay it to the kitchen. I had the vol au vegan. Not gonna lie I was pretty worried that my meal was just going to come out as non-vegan but I was pleasantly surprised because it came out correct. It wasn’t bad but also wasn’t amazing. You’re really just paying for the view/area but it’s a cool spot if you’re dining with friends that want the typical non-vegan Belgian fare.

Ordered vegan burger and got a regular burger with cheese. Asked the waiter about it and he said they ran out of vegan burgers so they just gave me that, then proceeded to argue with me that vegan just meant you didnt get cheese and all their burgers had meat. My partner had ordered the vegan meatballs and he also was given real meat. When I finally got something that was apparently vegan it was slimey and cold and extremely overpriced.

When my parents came to visit me in Brussels, I looked for a place that serves traditional Belgian food and also has some vegan options and I found this place. It's on la Grand-Place right in the city center and they have a couple of vegan options (burger, "meatballs" liégeois etc.). The service was really nice, the food was pretty good (I had the vegan meatballs) and the location obviously is amazing. The prices were also acceptable considering the location. Can definitely recommend.
