Tasty Vegan Food in Chilled part of town - Edit
The food was really nice, we were treated by the owner who gave us recommendations and recent additions to the menu. I recommend the mixed smoothie & jackfruit burger which was a new addition when we arrived.

Loved it. Super sweet staff, service was on time and food was much better than the other vegan options in town. Thanks, we had a good time in your restaurant.

Okay food, long wait - Edit
We stopped by to have the tofu sandwich and the sweet and sour tofu. They make it to order and it took a while. Maybe because we were the first of the day. Good portion sizes.

Tasty food and lovely host! - Edit
The owner is part of the Moral Foundation which is a vegan charity in Laos. He is the creator of the larp sandwich as well - would recommend trying this. It was so great to sit down and talk to him about his vegan experience in Laos and what he’s doing to progress the movement there.

Underwhelming - Edit
The waiter spoke excellent English so I asked for recommendations but he didn't want to give any and would drop his head in exhaustion at my questions. I ended up ordering a pad thai, which was ok but a small portion compared to what I am used to. My friend's lard sandwich looked better, but our order took over an hour to prepare with only three people ahead of us who had already ordered before we arrived. Prices are average but you can definitely eat (more) for cheaper. Overall I was disappointed.

Amazing Vegan Restaurant! - Edit
It’s a family business and only one woman is cooking. I wouldn’t recommend going there if you’re in a hurry because it takes a while, but it’s totally worth it! Food is so delicious and cheap. In general very authentic and english skills are good! #Veganuary

Food was super nice. Sometimes cooking time was a bit long, but that only means it was fresh.

We had walked past in the morning and the owner had been so friendly so had to go for lunch. Lovely tasty food unfortunately the owner wasn’t there when we went so service was polite but not quite as welcoming but the food makes up for it all

Family kitchen - Edit
Small family run kitchen, mom is cooking, teenage kids are helping around. Traditional authentic Lao dishes as well as a few western choices. Food was outstanding in taste, generous size portions and very inexpensive. Highly recommend #Veganuary

Great place, tasty food - Edit
Stumbled upon this all vegan place and was not disappointed. Had the pad Thai and it was delicious, probably the best food I've had in Laos. The owner was also very friendly and has a great ethos/mission about bringing veganism to Laos. Cheap and tasty, don't skip this place, it's only a 5 min walk from the centre.

Underwhelmed - Edit
We we’re excited to go to Kapphet but we were a bit underwhelmed. The staff didn’t seem to notice that we were there and they forgot our drink (they were also understocked which we thought was a bit sad actually). The larb sandwhich was decent but nothing to write home about. The noodle soup was fine but not very filling.

Good food - Edit
Nice restaurant with delicious food. A great opportunity to try the Laotian dish Laab as a vegan variant. The owner also forwarded us a PDF explaining in different languages (more than 100) which foods are avoided in veganism.

A great find - Edit
Good food, friendly owner, and reasonable prices, what more can one ask for? Any chance to try a veg version of a traditional meat dish is worth taking and the vegan larp was delicious. Of course, I can’t compare it to the meat version but I would happily return to this spot.

Ok food but poor service - Edit
I asked for the mushroom dish but somehow the owner, unfortunately, convinced me to have tofu and veggies instead. The meal, which took ages to arrive, was ok but too salty and the herbal tea was tasteless. After paying, I'd walked about 10 metres down the street when a woman ran after me and said she owned the restaurant and I must pay. So, I had to go back to the restaurant with her and find the guy I'd paid to convince her I wasn't doing a runner. Also, earlier in the day I'd popped in to check out what sort of beer they had. Via Google Translate, I established with the staff that they didn't sell beer but I could bring my own. However, in the evening I was told I couldn't drink my beer. Overall, a really disappointing experience.

We had the Tom Yum and the Pad Thai. Both were great! The Pad Thai was a bit on the small side but the Tom Yum portion was huge. Wish I could come back and try more of their dishes.
