Tasty Vegan Food in Chilled part of town

The food was really nice, we were treated by the owner who gave us recommendations and recent additions to the menu. I recommend the mixed smoothie & jackfruit burger which was a new addition when we arrived.

We have visited twice and enjoyed our experience both times!

Recommended for vegans and all diets.

Thanks 🙏🏼

Pros: Smoothie , Friendly staff and owner, Vegan Food straight from the garden

Loved it.

Loved it. Super sweet staff, service was on time and food was much better than the other vegan options in town. Thanks, we had a good time in your restaurant.

Great!

Larb sandwich was fantastic. I ate there twice. Add the spicy pepper powder on the table.

Okay food, long wait

We stopped by to have the tofu sandwich and the sweet and sour tofu. They make it to order and it took a while. Maybe because we were the first of the day. Good portion sizes.

Sweet and sour was different

Fast food with lots of tofu and veg, did look very different to pick (no pineapple) and took a while

Tasty food and lovely host!

The owner is part of the Moral Foundation which is a vegan charity in Laos. He is the creator of the larp sandwich as well - would recommend trying this. It was so great to sit down and talk to him about his vegan experience in Laos and what he’s doing to progress the movement there.

Pros: Larp, Suki soup, Owners are lovely

Underwhelming

The waiter spoke excellent English so I asked for recommendations but he didn't want to give any and would drop his head in exhaustion at my questions. I ended up ordering a pad thai, which was ok but a small portion compared to what I am used to. My friend's lard sandwich looked better, but our order took over an hour to prepare with only three people ahead of us who had already ordered before we arrived. Prices are average but you can definitely eat (more) for cheaper. Overall I was disappointed.

Cons: Portions , Long wait

Amazing Vegan Restaurant!

It’s a family business and only one woman is cooking. I wouldn’t recommend going there if you’re in a hurry because it takes a while, but it’s totally worth it! Food is so delicious and cheap. In general very authentic and english skills are good! #Veganuary

Food was delicious

Food was super nice. Sometimes cooking time was a bit long, but that only means it was fresh.

Great food, great family

Guy who runs it has great English and very talkative and helpful.

Had his recommendation of the laab roll which was great. Also coconut noodle soup which was solid too.

Great little place

We had walked past in the morning and the owner had been so friendly so had to go for lunch. Lovely tasty food unfortunately the owner wasn’t there when we went so service was polite but not quite as welcoming but the food makes up for it all

Pros: Tasty food , Great smoothie

Family kitchen

Small family run kitchen, mom is cooking, teenage kids are helping around. Traditional authentic Lao dishes as well as a few western choices. Food was outstanding in taste, generous size portions and very inexpensive. Highly recommend #Veganuary

Pros: 100% vegan, Homey

Great place, tasty food

Stumbled upon this all vegan place and was not disappointed. Had the pad Thai and it was delicious, probably the best food I've had in Laos. The owner was also very friendly and has a great ethos/mission about bringing veganism to Laos. Cheap and tasty, don't skip this place, it's only a 5 min walk from the centre.

Pros: Taste food, Cheap, Great ethos

Cons: Little walk from centre but its worth it

Underwhelmed

We we’re excited to go to Kapphet but we were a bit underwhelmed. The staff didn’t seem to notice that we were there and they forgot our drink (they were also understocked which we thought was a bit sad actually). The larb sandwhich was decent but nothing to write home about. The noodle soup was fine but not very filling.

The staff was eventually very nice but I guess there was just a language barrier and they do what they can.

Good food

Nice restaurant with delicious food. A great opportunity to try the Laotian dish Laab as a vegan variant. The owner also forwarded us a PDF explaining in different languages (more than 100) which foods are avoided in veganism.

A great find

Good food, friendly owner, and reasonable prices, what more can one ask for? Any chance to try a veg version of a traditional meat dish is worth taking and the vegan larp was delicious. Of course, I can’t compare it to the meat version but I would happily return to this spot.

Good place

I got a Larp Sandwich to try, which took very long to be prepared. I enjoyed it but was nothing special. The prices are okay.

Pros: Veganized local food

Cons: Long time to prepare food

Ok food but poor service

I asked for the mushroom dish but somehow the owner, unfortunately, convinced me to have tofu and veggies instead. The meal, which took ages to arrive, was ok but too salty and the herbal tea was tasteless. After paying, I'd walked about 10 metres down the street when a woman ran after me and said she owned the restaurant and I must pay. So, I had to go back to the restaurant with her and find the guy I'd paid to convince her I wasn't doing a runner. Also, earlier in the day I'd popped in to check out what sort of beer they had. Via Google Translate, I established with the staff that they didn't sell beer but I could bring my own. However, in the evening I was told I couldn't drink my beer. Overall, a really disappointing experience.

Pros: Good location, on main street close to town., Edible

Cons: Poor service

Amazing vegan Lao food

10/10 such good food , went there 3 nights in a row. My favourite was the larp sandwich!
The owner is so friendly and really passionate about veganism. He also just added spring rolls to the menu and they are the best ones I’ve had yet in Laos! Would definitely recommend 🤗😋

Cute vegan restaurant

Proper good vegan food! Had the pad thai and a fruit smoothie. Lot's of fruit in the smoothie and the pad thai tasted great.

The owner is a nice guy where you can have a good chat with. Told us his story why he became vegan wich was different from the western view of being vegan. Would visit again!

Pros: Tasty, Cool owner, One of the only real vegan in town

Cons: Pad thai portion was a bit small

Tip top

We had the Tom Yum and the Pad Thai. Both were great! The Pad Thai was a bit on the small side but the Tom Yum portion was huge. Wish I could come back and try more of their dishes.

Best vegan food in Laos

Cute little family run restaurant a short walk away from central Vang Vieng. Amazing freshly made vegan Lao food. The laab was incredible.

Pros: Entirely vegan, Authentic Lao and southeast Asian food, Lovely service

Cons: Little bit expensive for Laos
